After my appointment, I was instructed to pick up a referral for lab work at the front desk. I gave my first and last name when asked, but the staff member handed me paperwork belonging to a completely different patient whose personal information showed. Another staff member briefly reviewed the document and confirmed it was correct. As I was leaving, I noticed the name on the paperwork did not match mine, so I brought it to the attention of a third front desk employee, who also told me it was fine. Despite being reassured multiple times, the information clearly did not belong to me. I went outside, reviewed it again, and returned because it still seemed incorrect. The same staff member then redirected me back to the original person who gave me the paperwork, without acknowledging the mistake. Finally, a fourth staff member reviewed the situation, apologized, and provided the correct documents. At least three staff members approved and allowed me to leave with another patient's medical paperwork. This is not a small error and raises serious concerns about patient safety and privacy. If this had involved condition specific lab work or if I was pregnant, the consequences could have been significant. Front desk staff should be verifying patient identity carefully before handing out medical documents. Basic checks, like confirming full name and date of birth, would prevent situations like this.

Talked to my insurance, talked to the doctors office, now they say when they confirm they take your insurance and they are in network, they are not always in network. They just take your insurance but they could be out of network. So i would get in writing that they said they are in network and document who you spoke to and then pray to god you don't get a bill. Because it will cost you $500. There's a cheaper cash price that's better if you'd rather not deal with this and it's cheaper than having insurance. Lesson learned won't be going here again. This is the second time this happened to me (with two different insurances). Don't trust them

I felt in my heart that this wasn't right and came to St. Jude on a 3rd opinion. I saw Dr. Hawkins and she was amazing. My biggest concern was being able to keep my fertility and be a mom within the next year. She addressed my concerns and scheduled my surgery within a month due to the fast rate the fibroid was growing. On the day of my surgery the staff was very comforting. It was my first time going under anesthesia and I was very nervous. But everyone who works at St. Jude and in the hospital was amazing! I stayed over night and the staff was great! I am recovering from my surgery and the lining of my uterus was left undamaged. So I still have hope for pregnancy in the future. Although the recovery period is tough I am SO thankful for Dr. Hawkins. I really recommend her to anyone. She's amazing!

They wanted me to pay all my medical fees for labor and delivery by the end of my 4th month of pregnancy. I had a HUGE credit on my billing statement that would come in the mail - yet every time I would come in for a check-up the clerk at the front desk would demand payment. It was horrible. I would bring in my Blue Cross statements all the time to show them that I wasnt supposed to pay what they were demanding - and it would go in one ear and out the other. If I would have known about their billing practices - I definately would NOT have gone there for my pre-natal care. And I definately will NOT go there if I ever decided to have another baby. Pregnancy is stressfull enough as it is - you dont need the collections people calling you to demand payment up front for services months in advance. In the end, I called the collections department to ask what my final balance was - and I think I owed something like $10. When I went in for my last post-natal check up, I asked the clerk at the front what my balance was and she tried to hit me up for $138. I paid her the $10 and she looked at me with disgust. If you go here for a long term thing - like a pregnancy - definately watch EVERY stinkin visit and keep a log of what they did - and triple check that with your insurance statements.

I cannot praise Dr. Gray enough for his bedside manner and how comfortable he made me feel going through the whole process. I do have some residual abdominal pain that has gotten worse over the last five years and I'm hoping they will address that soon because I've gone in twice to have it checked. He has since located to Yorba Linda so I am seeing somebody else now at his Fullerton location. This location is very clean and easy to park at, and the staff is very well spoken and accommodating.

His poor judgement…read moreled to my labor extending beyond 55 hours despite multiple nurses requesting I get a c section. Since it was a catholic hospital at the time (St. Jude in Fullerton) they have very low c section rates and "pride themselves" of that. This resulted in my child having a severe stroke due to the labor stress and now has life long disabilities that he has been in therapy for over the years. The next day after my delivery Dr. Buchanan visited me and said "oh he probably just has meningitis". Since he was the on call doctor I had no choice but to have him deliver my baby. I sincerely hope all women choose another doctor he caused life long issues to my child due to his neglect.

After being admitted to hospital I was never once checked up on by him until it was time to deliver - he happened to be the on call OBGYN just my luck - "Whoopi!" I did meet the other OBG's while I was in the hospital and I wondered why couldn't I have been on of their prenatal patience Dr Gray was so attentive, professional and showed he cared.
