I am currently working in Pricewaterhousecoopers in a trainee position for just over the year. I am…read moredoing my chartered accountancy exams which hopefully will be completed by mid next year 2014. Today I read an article on unemployment level 2012 (source: http://www.tradingeconomics.com/united-kingdom/unemployment-rate) which summarises to say the unemployment level has hit hard on Britain up by 8.1% last month. It has put me in a state when a year ago I was struggling to find job and was completely uncertain of whether I'd be able to land any decent jobs. I applied to several companies but face rejections from all. I was getting rejections left, right and center. On top of submitting articulate applications I was suppose to be clearing psychometric tests, telephonic interview, face to face interview and assessment centre. That was the HORRIFIC time of my life. Somehow I cleared the application stage of PWC but I got so afraid browsing the net and forums as I knew I was going to fail SHL tests set by PWC. I still remember the day when I was literally about to burst in tears in front of my uni friends. On one hand I had this great opportunity which was not to be missed. On the other I had no clue why people struggle to fail these assessment tests set by companies. My friend Cathy calmed me and mentioned the green turn site http://www.greenturn.co.uk to me. She quoted "practice makes a man perfect", no one is learned by birth. If you set your mind and practice hard nothing is impossible. I took on her advice and contacted green turn. They really helped me by literally taking my hand and walked me through the PWC application process. At first they offered free assistance as I couldn't afford fee as a student. They gave free PWC psychometric tests to practice at home and some other research material on SHL tests. PWC gave me a week to sit the online tests I practiced for these psychometric tests with green turn for two days, and sat and passed. The tests scored nearly eighty percent in both online SHL numerical reasoning and verbal reasoning tests. I was told by green turn that PWC would take a telephonic interview and so did they. I prepared for my telephonic interview with green turn coach who had already worked in PWC, a Taxation Manager (left PWC after 7 years and then joined FSA). Green Turn coach went through every single interview question with me and helped me prepare geniune answers likeable by PWC. This was the cutting edge I believe what I learnt from green turn team. I had my interview set with PWC after a week of passing aptitude tests. I was relaxed in my interview as I knew all the questions PWC could ask and best answers from my preparation with green turn. I was told to of my interview success during the interview which was felt so GOOD, I believe I owe it to green turn team and the hard work they put in behind me otherwise I would have never made it pass this stage to the assessment centre. My PWC assessment centre was conducted in Milton Keynes office as I was told that both the London and Reading offices were full due to client priorities. I could see my success coming infront of my eyes. I prepared again with green turn for week or so to understand the PWC assessment centre structure. And I knew I will going to pass, I just felt it. At this stage I was really active I spoke to literally everyone at green turn as they had relevant PWC past employees. I kept bugging them and each time I got more information about the PWC practice, how they operate, whats the day like, who are their clients, what seperate them from the rest of big four companies. It was all worthwhile experience for me. I went to my pwc assessment day with about fifteen other graduates from various departments including audit assurance, advisory and IT consultants. I made few friends from the pwc assessment centre, few of us are my best mates as we go to Kaplan college together every other week. PWC assessment centre was really tough, no matter why only 1 in 4 were offered the position. I started off by doing case study and about green houses impact on environment etc which I had already practiced at green turn so I knew INSIDE OUT of the case study, I completely nailed it in given time. I had even 5 minutes to spare in which I talked to the assessor. She was also very impressed how I managed to complete on time and stay calm. It was green turn preparation that gave me all that useful insight. I sat diagrammatic reasoning and numerical reasonng tests on my assessment day, this time I scored roughly seventy percent in both tests. I found these harder than online test but green turn covered it for me. Group exercise was around the same casestudy topic so I definitely stood out from others on that. Partner interview was piece of cake for me as I knew all the best answers to impress him. If I give you one advice it would be to only practice with http:www.greenturn.co.uk.

I know Greenturn staff for a while they are really professional. I got trained for my Ernst and…read moreYoung Job Simulation Assessments (1 and 2) Australia, a month ago. Then did my AC preparation with Greenturn In-Person session. I passed all my EY Australia assessments in one go. Then I decided to move to the UK (due to the family reasons). I applied in EY UK after securing a Graduate internship in Sydney, Australia. I had to redo the Assessment Centre in UK last week, which was fine by me, since I got prepared by the UK Staff already from Greenturn. GT has over 50k Alumni network from the Big Four (across the globle) they can connect Applicants with Alumni from the service line. Highly Recommended for the In-Person sessions. I got an email today from the firm that I secured bmy position also in UK, Excellent!
