I heard about my job offer with PWC two weeks ago. Last week, I secured a position with KPMG. Surprise surprise, I got trained with greenturn.co.uk for a month and half, ouch!
Those 45 days that I spent with the Greenturn's Consultant was the toughest, most mentally challenging and eye opening for me. Greenturn is famous to connect candidates with the ex Big Four staff. To be honest, I was a bit hesitant. When you visit PWC application form or KPMG application process website, they both have mentioned greenturn clearly. That's made me really wonder, Why! and I decided to talk to the Greenturn's support myself.
Believe me, that was the most timely and perfect decision that I took. Just in time! They were helpful, informative and open from the outset. What I really liked about is that the speed with which they can connect you, with the staff from your choosen service line, is really something!
I had attended PWC, KPMG and Deloitte's insight days in my University (Red Brick) however, that was just an introduction, not getting under the skin. What Greenturn staff taught me was so valuable, it's like 1 hour of Greenturn Consultant's preparation = 10 days of full time insight days by the Big Four. Really there is no comparison of the knowledge, wisdom and insight what Greenturn Consultant's can implant in you.
The reason for this is that the Consultant's which Greenturn bring forth, were Alumni from the Big Four firms. Consultants know the processes, insights, systems, technical updates, what makes you tick, what makes the firm tick, why this Big Four etc. That's an unmatchable personalised service offer by Greenturn.
My sister decided to apply to Big Four in US (I am staying over at her place in US for few weeks, before I head back to UK to join PWC). Now, interesting PWC changed it's virtual assessments by asking my sister to attend in their office to take the assessments. Few of the group exercise and written report topics were changed by the firm (from our discussion with the Greenturn's staff). Luckily, my sister followed Consultant's advice to the letter. That was indeed the right move. The real exercises were also got amended by the firm. The Consultants at Greenturn seems to be completely inline with the changes at the Big Four. They are up-to-date and highly professional. My sister also passed all her assessments and got her job secured in PWC US. I really did not get a chance to coach her myself. I couldn't have done what Greenturn's Consultants could do even if I try to imitate them, its not an easy feat to pull off.
