My Experience has been positive both times I have used their services. The whole process was very good. InterExec do a great job in terms of opening doors and raising your profile with the right people. They also make sure you are fully prepared for the discussions ahead. The thing to remember is that InterExec create the opportunities by promoting you as a candidate/brand, but you must do the work when the door is opened. It is a joint effort. This is the way I have worked with InterExec both times and each time I have not been disappointed and the results have been excellent in creating my next career step. The support the team provided me with was excellent (Jon and Ben) and both were always there to bounce ideas around and help prepare. I highly recommend InterExec, but only if you understand they will not magic up a role and you sit back and wait. It requires significant effort on both party's behalf. It took me a while to convince myself to sit down and write this review - I believe, at best this place is misleading and, at worst, a fraud... They claim they have 'access' to headhunters for high end jobs but I think what they have access to is your pocketbook. If you are in line for an executive recruitment, there are executive recruiters and you do not pay them. InterExec claims that these recruiters do not give you a fair shot at potential jobs and that they can get access to the profiles the recruiters are chasing and insert you where you are a good fit. The time I sat with them the 'sales' person had a checklist of questions he had to ask me (actually checked them off as he did) and they were rote consultative sales questions, some of which did not actually add up. And none of it added up to what they wanted to charge or what the market had to say about them. Which, unsurprisingly, is that headhunters do NOT share information with them and they largely do NOT have access to those jobs. They may place people from time to time but I also noticed that the sales person told me some story about a 'sad' woman, as he referred to her, who had used their services but failed to get anything and then came around (probably wondering where her money went I was thinking) but that this was not the norm. I reckon it is. And I reckon what they are doing is actually pretty f*cked up. They place ads with pictures of a private jet cruising above the clouds but they claim to place people who make £150k - £2mm per annum. A handsome salary to be sure but...private jet money? No, sadly not. Highly suggest avoiding. The worst part about them is that they undoubtedly sucker people who do have a high end job but potentially are struggling to make it or were given a great pay package because, unfortunately, big pay packages mean a company will want a lot for that. Some times what they want is for you to take a sh*t job. So you start to freak out but you like the money - and in comes the company that pays a TON of money for advertising to tell you how they will finally get those executive recruiters to pay attention to you. Bullsh*t. And pay attention to what they intend to charge you and the number of clients they say they have. They are making some scratch on the deal and any time someone says they need you to pay them £10k GBP to do an 'evaluation' and how that is worth the money straight away, run for the hills. Money is simply a tool - its certainly not going to get you happiness on its one merits and it can be quite addicting. But it is something that helps navigate life so don't go wasting it on these bozos. Shame on them. read more

Well, I used InterExec way back in 1982 - they were based in Charing Cross Road then and I was working in IT though based in Manchester. At that time the better jobs in IT were in London and it was next to impossible for someone like me to have any sort of easy access to high quality jobs other than those that might be nationally advertised. I used InterExec because they were a company that had started in the oil business where oil executives couldn't easily come to London to find their next job.So InterExec effectively did the first approaches. That problem was rather like mine. They took a lot of details about me, tested how I performed at interview, gave advice on what to have to show, went through the various potential sectors and of course probed me for companies that I knew which might be interesting. They then helped make a one page CV which was then circulated. I had a job offer after the first interview! However upon their advice I turned this down but it was a great fillip. The InterExec contacts, in 1982 at least, did open doors for an interview in ways that were not just opportunities being widely publicised. In all of this, for my InterExec fee I had free access to their London legal firm - which proved invaluable because selling my shares in my Manchester employer would (it turned out) have been taxed as income without this lawyer representing the problem to the company I was leaving. That alone was probably worth the InterExec fee. In the end I joined a company I had known about and stayed there until I retired. For me InterExec was very useful. read more

My experience of InterExec has been extremely positive. They were honest from the very initial meeting, provided references to discuss with prior any agreement was signed. When I called one of the references, the biggest thing I took away from it was that: "the candidate needs to embrace the entire experience. InterExec can only help and support to a point. The candidate has to do the rest of the work." It was not easy but I did embrace it and it paid off. I had great support as and when I needed it. My contacts were always available, sometimes I needed them at very short notice and they always answered the phone. There was no pressure in working with particular agents or accepting any interview. This process works if the candidate drives it. I would recommend InterExec only if as a candidate, you're prepared to do the work. If you expect InterExec to be the magic answer to your problem, then I would say, don't go there or anywhere else for that matter, you'll be disappointed! read more

I concur with the other bad reviews about this place and I believe that there are better ways to spend your cash than going to these charlatans. So this is how it works: 1. You pay. Upfront. No guarantee of success. The MD told me that they keep going until you have a job. And that's the first lie. 2. You sit down with your consultant who tells you pretty much what you already know, however I figured it's probably so that they can go to their "network" and get you the right job. I was assured that with my profile they would take about 3-4 weeks maximum. 3. I was then palmed off to some recruitment guy who give your profile to his "team" who then... do nothing as far as I can figure. You get a list of people they've contacted, but no actual meetings at all. I was introduced to some junior recruitment consultant (not interexec) who proceeded to lead me on for weeks about the great jobs she was lining up for me. Funnily enough, each appointment was cancelled for spurious reasons. When I asked for names and phone numbers so I could chase these people directly I was given fake ones. I complained to interexec and they dropped me. When I asked for my money back, they didn't respond. This is basically fraud. Their adverts are fraudulent and whilst they're happy to take your cash, they do nothing for it. Stay away! read more
