When I walked into the door, I was greeted by Heather who took great care of me assessed what was going on, showed me what's happening with my tire, and recommended some things to make sure that I was safe on the road. Heather did not try to upsell me. Heather did not try to pull the wool over my eyes. Heather was very honest and forthcoming. I decided on two tires and was told about the warranty that I could come by anytime to just make sure that the tires are wearing well and that there would be checks that are done periodically. That piece of mind was refreshing. I was told that the entire process would take about an hour to be done. 45 minutes later I was driving away happy as a clam. The amount that I paid was very comparable to others that I had checked in the area and I'm very pleased with the Service I received. When it's time to purchase my next set of tires, I will be coming back to discount tire in Colonial Heights. Their service was top-tier.

The fellas have always been friendly and not overly pushing "upselling" services or tires. I know what I want or need when I get here, so I don't really have the need for education or what tire I need. But I've watched the fellas and they don't seem to be upselling. I also shop around when I need tires. There is a big box store right down the street and another chain tire store. I always check their sales and DT always seems to be a few bucks cheaper. Going back to the service and the techs/managers. What I've seen though (in my opinion) is less staff but a crap ton of work. Now I'm not sure if this is a corporate issue (downsizing) or they just can't get or keep staff. But I'm pretty sure my observation is accurate. Service times seems to have increased from my past visits. Now I will HIGHLY suggest using the website and booking an appointment. That seems to help some. So big advice - appointment. I'm confident I will be continuing to buy and shop for tires here in the future.

About two hours after making the online appointment a staff member called and confirmed the appointment. I got to the store about 10 minute before my time. It was an early appointment - midweek and the store didn't seem too busy. The young lady Naomi greeted me and checked me in very quickly. I left the truck and went shopping nearby. A little bit over a hour later my truck was done. So again my experience was absolutely fine. I think I was in and out very quickly. Maybe the reservation helped that - not sure. My issue now is the new pharmacy system and procedures they are implementing, ostensibly from Corporate. I have peripheral neuropathy and a history of syncope, so I would do curbside pickup. I would get the text that my prescription was ready, I'd park in a pickup spot, call them, and they'd run it out to me. Well, not anymore. You have to use an app to schedule a pickup now. The app is clumsy and difficult, and requires a credit card number. I can't walk through the parking lot, let alone through the store, and I don't have a degree in computer science. I'm also wary about the CC info floating around. I'm looking for a new pharmacy, unfortunately. Again, the people are great, no reflection on them.

Within ten minutes they told me they could inflate the tires and that my battery level was low. I asked them if they could replace the battery right there and they said of course. It took about half an hour for the battery to get delivered to the shop and for them to replace it! I was out of there in less than an hour. Seriously great service by these guys. They get you in and out quickly while performing high quality service on your car. Highly recommend this place for an auto repair shop.

After, he drove the car home to my MIL, then took her back to the shop so she'd know how to get there when/if she needed anything else done. Felt like we had a member of the family helping us. Low and behold I never meet this manager by the name of Troy that runs this store but he called me back the very next day early in the morning so he could find out what I needed as a customer. I can honestly say after explaining everything he should nothing but hostility after hearing the situation. He kept his word in every sequence by getting in contact with Corporate or the Goodyear plant to advise the what occurred. He gave me and my mom reassurance that everything will be alright due to the defected tires situation. He called us back in a timely manner just like he said he would do. Everyone please take the time to support this store and show nothing but major love as you deal with the Store Manager by the name of Troy. He made my mother happy just in time for mother's day. As a Corporate office please take the time to represent your company managers Goodyear by doing something special for having such a great professional, manager that keeps his word and shows nothing but hospitality to bring Goodyear the numbers and quote they need to me for the year or quarter. We drove to this Goodyear Auto Center to see if it could be repaired. Unfortunately, after removing 2 nails, it was determined that it couldn't be fixed. A new tire had to be brought to the shop from another source. We had our dog with us, and so spent the next 20 minutes or so walking around the area. We headed back to the shop and the manager was kind enough to let us bring the dog inside (so we could sit down). Soon the car was ready. Start to finish it was 90 minutes! We were so grateful to the staff, Lawanda Hill, Hunter Wemmering, and others. They were so professional and compassionate. I would highly recommend this place to anyone, and will go there for our future tire needs.
