I've banked here for years, and over that time I've watched staff I valued leave and the service change in ways that leave me sad and discouraged. Years ago, the branch repeatedly couldn't complete my international wire transfers and overcharged me, which cost me time and money. When I couldn't get replies from the new branch manager, Tracy, I moved all my funds out except my investment accounts, because the investment manager was consistently available and easy to reach. That reliability was the reason I stayed. Today my partner and I set aside an hour and kept an appointment with the new investment manager, Bat, who did not come and did not let us know. I'm frustrated and disappointed, because I count on dependability and clear communication when it comes to my money. I'm now planning to move my investment funds as well. I need to work with people who follow through on commitments and keep me informed -- that matters most to me in a bank. read more

If I could give a 0 I would! This bank does not have your best interest in mind. I had fraud happen on my account for 3600.00. I went to the bank hours after it happened. They talked with me about it - no report, no evidence asked for, nothing. I thought they were going to do an investigation. I called the fraud dept myself to check on what was going on. They told me that I was turned down because they though that I bought the 3 Iphones from Amazon and had them sent to an empty lot in FL and I live in CA. I found out they never did any investigating at all! None. Just turned me down. I have a police report, screenshots from AMazon saying that this order was cancelled and you will not be charged and then they charged me. I called the second I saw the charge. I have hit a wall with AMazon as when I call they pretend they cannot hear me on the phone and hang up on me. These transactions meet the definition of unauthorized electronic fund transfers under Regulation E, as they were initiated without my authority by a third party. I submitted a compliant withe the CFPB. I recieved no merchandise yet paid 3600.00 for Iphones I never ordered and this bank did not have my back! They ignored all the evidence, they have not responded to me in over a month. THis has been the most frustrating, disappointing experiences ever. I he dealt with the "manager " of the bank TRACY, she could not give a sh** about anything I am going through. She is cold as ice and has never called me with updates or kept me in any loop. She never asked me for any evidence or paper work that may help me, just nothing. To this day I have not heard from her. Only when I called her and told her that I have a file with proof and she was not interested. Iasked her to send it to the fraud dept and according to my experiences with this bank I am worried she never even sent it. I should not have to worry or doubt my financial institution! I run a business and I do not have time to do their jobs....but I have been doing just that! I am going to leave this bank and never look back. I have done everything with zero help from anyone associated with this case! Do NOT bank with this bank. They do not care about your money, only about themselves. I will not stop trying to right their wrong. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. read more

Tracy was outstanding with helping me I appreciate the information she told me, her answers to my questions were quick , and precise and to the point it's a good feeling to know that someone with her expertise and professionalism helped me so much. Yay! Thanks Tracy, Sincerely Constance read more

Complete nightmare. Decided to close when I found out when BMO bought them it's not just a Canadian company (still not okay) but also a Chinese company right now I'm not comfortable with any foreign country having access to my money. It took me from August 15 until September 27 to get the account t closed. The branch manager in Vacaville promised she would get the problem corrected and she never did I had to call the 800 number 3 times after I attempted to close it at the branch twice to get it closed read more

This bank branch is awful. I've been a customer with the bank they bought out Bank of the West for 20+ years. There is a man on their teller line who is absolutely rude as can be. Whenever my husband goes in to cash his check, he is in work clothes, he treats him like a criminal. The branches never answer their phones either. I would recommend moving your accounts if you currently have the misfortune to be their customer. Also, if you are of any other nationality you will probably be treated as "less than" which seems to be a common theme at this branch! read more

The branch in Vacaville is probably the worst branch and bank ever. Kristin that works there is absolutely the worst you could deal with. She has the worst customer service skills ever. I think this branch needs some training on their customer service skills. Thank god I don't bank with them. read more

Now before you guys attempt to burn me at the Yelp stake, read on: This is for the ATM outside and only for the ATM. It didn't talk back to me. It didn't ask me to stop taking pictures because I was so bored waiting for a banker to take my transaction. It sits near the corner of Davis and Mason streets and bothers no one. As for dealing with actual human tellers, I go elsewhere. Or I take pictures while waiting for people here....which is why I go elsewhere. Still 5 stars for the ATM! read more

BMO - Banks & Credit Unions Near Me - Vacaville, California

Hello , I'm here to give these women of bank of the west a Hugh compliment! Andrea. Tracy and Kim were OUTSTANDING ! I had a fraudulent situation with my bank account, and they saw me through. I really appreciate them coming to my rescue when we are vulnerable to scams and other unlawful activities that can lead us in a bind. Everyone needs a bank that have their back. Thanks, ladies, and we'll done! Warmest regards, Constance read more

If you have an hour for a simple deposit then this is your bank. The male teller is extremely rude and unprofessional. It's like customer service isn't the main job. Is very slow and shows a temper quickly when there's more work to be done. Hope BMO does better and finds better representation. I will for sure be closing my account now. read more

This branch ever since Tracy has gotten involved has stayed moving and the best i've seen it in awhile! Andrea is super sweet as well, and gets the job done quick and easy! These two people are the only reason I keep coming to the Vacaville Bank of the West! read more

Worst bank ever doesn't matter which office you go into entire bank is useless they don't want you to come in. They only want you to do everything online and they can't even keep their transactions straight. read more

There has been 80% of the time the customer service is horrible maybe one or two employees actually have the skills of customer service and my bank account was closed due to the amount of fees that they charge which is ridiculous and the amount of time they give you in order to pay or take care of some of the fees it's ridiculous it really looks like it seems like they were charging me fees whenever they wanted to this is the main reason why I do not like to use banks I would suggest people even if you have millions or billions or trillions of dollars do not use Bank of the West think about the fees You might need them later on. I would like to also say it doesn't matter how much money I have how much money I'm going to have how much money I don't have these banks should not be charging these fees like that read more

Horrible bank, slow tellers, keep canceling my debit cards for no reason, takes weeks to get replacement, final straw was they cancelled a good card without notifying me , for no reason recieved replacement card a week later, had card for about 3 hrs , was notified a fraud alert from uber (i linked my card to uber a hr earlier) responded NO to potential fraud attempt , still cancelled my 3rd card within a month , never sent replacement, tried to contact 24hr customer service , automated system said they were closed , contact them mon-fri , really?? Never got my 4th card .. so went in told teller , she said " thats wierd" .. just close my acct now .. Pathetic bank , went to Golden1 .. a real bank .. manager Jennifer is such a professional.. glad to be back .. and bank of the weakest... read more

One star because going inside a bank branch is usually quick and painless. Everything else though...zero stars if I could. I am constantly being charged a monthly fee, that is supposed to be free with any deposit, which I have a few deposits a month. Then they like to hold checks until they can come up with some more BS charges, charge them, plus an overdraft fee and THEN deposit your check. Never fails anytime I am running low on funds and make a deposit it takes FOREVER to clear, but if I have money in my account the same deposit clears right away. They even have held CASH deposits before. When trying to call into customer service it's always "call volume...blah, blah...25 minute wait". If you try to contact them through chat online it will ask all your information and then kick you off and say no one is available. They barely have any ATM's in existence and have charged me $5 for using another ATM (even if ATM I am using doesn't charge me). So tired of being charged to death by this bank that is never available for customer service. In the process of switching to a new bank...they'll probably charge me $100 for closing my account or some other BS. After 12 months with them, they've gotten over $800 out of me, no thank you, I don't want to pay you for doing nothing for me!! read more

What a clown outfit. Have a name change and every other bank/credit card sent me a form to fill out. NOT this bank..have to go into the branch..which was an absolute travesty. 3 bank tellers, NO customers, none can do the name change, have to meet with the bank rep. well the rep is busy with a client...5..10..15..20 minutes pass..then a teller says HE will not be done by noon (another 30 minutes) closing and need to come back. Tells me to call to set up an appt. Get the **** outta here. Horrible service. read more

This branch needs some serious attention. Most of the tellers are condescending and rude. My favorite is Laura, I walked into the branch last Saturday. She's discussing "Screwdrivers" and Vodka drinks 2 windows down with another teller, while I'm conducting my business. Joan helps me out often, I commend her for always going the extra mile for me, some of her co-workers need to follow her example. In a financial institution, during a national COVID 19 pandemic, people are on edge, anxious and concerned. The last thing I want, is to question the integrity and credibility of the tellers at my local branch, based on an inappropriate conversation they're having at the window. Thanks for your time! read more

Very friendly but so slow & understaffed. Always a long line now. Hire more tellers and have a merchant window would help!

The Bank Manager is not a man of his word. I deposited a check through the ATM yesterday and my funds are still not available. I went in to the branch after waiting 30 minutes on the phone. I was on a time constraint and he told me that he would call me to let me know the status of my deposit. I haven't heard from him. So, I called the bank to check for funds..they still aren't available. The check I deposited is also drawn on that branch of Bank of the West so I can't imagine what the problem is and since I didnt get a call back, I still dont know. read more

I love this branch! Everyone is so friendly and helpful. Kelli has helped me immensely with all my accounts. If I ever have a problem, she is so eager to help me resolve it. I am so thankful I chose to bank here. I recommend this branch in particular to all my friends and family! Thank you Bank of the West on Davis Street :-) read more

I love his bank. However one of the bank tellers frustrates me each time. I keep saying to myself "maybe she's having a bad day. However, its pretty consistent that she is short with me. She rolls her eyes at me. It seems as though she doesn't like her job. However, ALL THE OTHER staff members are great and so helpful! read more

Went to open a new account today and the waiting line was to the door! Only 2 tellers working and lots of customers standing and sitting waiting. Since they close at 5pm during the week, makes it hard to come in before then since most people work during those times too. Their Saturdays logically seem busy so very poor management on their end. When I called the branch to see the best way/time to open an account, "Ronda" told me there was already a customer waiting to open an account today and said she didnt know what to tell me. She then suggested I try their branch in another town. Sounded like she couldn't care less. We'll be taking our banking elsewhere. read more

I started doing my husband's business banking when we got married 20 years ago and his account was at Continental Pacific. The bank has been bought out twice since then and is Bank of the West now. My biggest complaint about this bank is their poor customer service. From Sharon to Joan to Laura, you can find some really grumpy women. Their smiles are few and far between and one of them probably would have their face crack if she attempted a smile. I recently found out that Elizabeth, who has been with the bank longer than I can remember, is no longer with this bank. They actually eliminated her position. How long does someone have to be employed to feel like she shouldn't have to worry about her job? She was one of the few people that understood what true banking customer service should be like. She always had a ready smile and greeted me by name. Many times she called me personally with questions or needs on my account. Definitely a bygone era now. The only reason we have remained with Bank of the West is because their bounced check charges are so much less than the competition. That is the one and only reason. read more

Vacaville Branch should not be in such a huge to close. I looked at their click on their wall. It's a minute or two faster than the correct time. Check it to see if I'm correct. Very disappointed in this Branch. read more
