I have banked with B of A for more than thirty years and run more than $100k a year through my account. I went to make a withdrawal from my Credit Union to buy a car for my son but they did not have the cash on hand so I happily took a cashier's check as I figured B of A would cash a cashier's check as any decent financial institution would even not taking into account my longstanding customer relationship with them. Wrong. B of A would not honor a cashier's check and put a week long hold on it making the entire car purchase process a nightmare for me and my family, causing me to have to take out an additional loan on the fly, and resulting in hours of wasted time. B of A is a soulless faceless institution that does not care about their customers in any way but what money they can extort from them. At this point I still use them as they do have a great ATM network, but I will put cash under my mattress to make sure Bank of America has no access to it. Use any other institution. B of A will take and take and take and give you nothing in return.

This was unhelpful and dismissive. As a customer, I expected guidance and solutions, not to be made to feel at fault for needing clarification.
