As part of a large "cousin" gathering The Operach Team was selected to book an Avalon River Cruise…read moredown the Rhine in July-August of 2027. Myself, my wife and a two of my siblings and their spouses had already booked on our own a Royal Caribbean Mediterranean cruise that would begin a couple days after the end of the Avalon cruise. We asked David Operach if he could book us passage on the Brenina Express Train, and rooms as we traveled from the river cruise to our RC cruise as well as transportation, private tours and rooms for 3-4 days stay in Rome after the Royal Caribbean cruise. He requested that we transfer servicing of the RC cruise to his agency to make everything streamlined. So on 6/2/2026, after we all made the requested transfers of service from RC, several of us made requests for booking info for rooms, train tickets and private tours. My calls were returned after two days time. Emails were responded to slightly quicker. All responses stated he's working with his partners overseas and they could not promise us specific room types or bed configurations. As far as tickets on the train, he had a "reservation to make a reservation" set up (what ever that means). As of the middle of September, we were no closer to any bookings of any rooms, private tours or train tickets. We collectively decided to cancel or booking for the Rhine river cruise due to no fault of the Davids. The water level of Rhine has receded to a point that busses had to be utilized and we weren't interested in that. We also decided that since we had no progress with any of the rest of our trip we would ask to have the servicing of our RC cruise returned back to Royal Caribbean. We were told to reconsider because he had done so much work on the Avalon trip for everyone and he wouldn't get paid for that time if we take the RC cruise service from him (which we booked prior to even meeting him). When we apologized but again requested he transfer it back, he became very upset and said he would send emails that can be used to authorized his approval to return the service to RC. Trying to keep things professional I offered my desire to not leave as enemies in case there were opportunities for future traveling but he interrupted me and would not let me speak saying, "I don't want to talk, time is money" and he hung up. In fairness, I suspect Davids team generally does a wonderful job for their clients. That being said, on this occasion with three different couples, he was unprofessional and non productive. I can guarantee that Operach Team of Dream Vacations will never have to worry about us giving them either our time nor money in the future.
