We pay for a gig 1000 and are getting about 90 to 80 upload and download speed, even hardwired in. We have been going back and forth with customer service and technicians at our house. Every time we try to escalate to a supervisor or manager, we are told no one is there that can help us and they will call us. We still have not gotten a call. There are two of us in the house that work from home, this is literally our lively hood. We had an appointment for another tech to come to our place, and they canceled it without telling us. They sent an email after they were supposed to be here. They don't really seem to care about customer service at all.

The static IP option is just $20/month more, whereas we would have to shell out for the Comcast business plan. Upload speeds on Connexion are like, 5x what they are on Comcast.

Apparently they've gone out of business with no heads up to customers. This sure was a disappointment. I downloaded a Windows update and my computer started acting…read morestrangely and running very slow. So, I took my PC to The Computer Guy (TCG) and he says my PC is fine and wants $30 for the diagnosis and another $300 to install a SSD hard drive. My PC is not fine, it takes almost 15-minutes to reboot, is slow and Outlook is not working despite reinstalling it and changing the email password multiple times. TCG said my Outlook problems was a GoDaddy issue (they host the email through Microsoft) so yesterday I spent 4.5 hours working with GoDaddy and they eventually said it was a hardware problem, exactly what I told TCG GoDaddy would say. I'm now hiring another IT company to remotely access my desktop and help me find a solution. What really bothered me about this situation was TCG asking me technical questions over my head when I am not a computer expert. It was like going to the doctor complaining about a pain and being told there is no problem because I don't know the cause.

We had TDS internet for 7 years and have had consistent drop outs and slow speed in Johnstown CO…read more(despite having Gig service). We have also experienced billing SNAFUs on several occasions. Once Xfinity became available, I decided to cancel my account in early May 2026. I called and spent 2 hours on the phone and finally got a rep who told me they would send a return shipping box for the modem. That never came. I called again and was told they would ship out another return box - and it never came. Meanwhile, TDS charged me a $179 fee for equipment not returned. I found the local TDS office and delivered the modem in person. The employee said that my account had been adjusted to note the return. Today I received a bill!!! TDS is a crappy company that oversells service while shortchanging servers and infrastructure, and has the most customer unfriendly and convoluted business practices I have encountered. AND their website has dead links.

Avoid TDS at all costs. EVERYONE at TDS is incompetent, from the Techs who install to the customer…read moreservice department, billing department, and even supervisors. Every employee has a far different answer from the previous one and then each employee simply states, "I don't know why the other employee would say that!" But then further messes up your account.
