My first club experience in Montreal. Had reserve tickets beforehand to get in for free for their Saturday night party (through Eventbrite). Another really good sized crowd in here, place is big and beautiful. Bartenders make great drinks here (has a few and actually thought their sex on the beach was the best). Went to this place with a table. The "owner" came up to me as Fuckin "lil dicky" was playing and told me my table was over bc i finished my bottle. If u wanna have fun in Montreal go to Muzique bc this place sucks and the dj is straight booty hole. I personally think im an average DJ and i thought I could dominate this crowd. Hip Hop and RnB is where my heart is. This is the place if you'd like to party and have a great night out. The drinks were well made, enough space on the dance floor and VIP service is impeccable. Went to Blvd44 and was simply not impressed. I have been to many world renowned clubs, and the price I paid for Blvd44 was well above the price I paid for clubs which were10x better. If I were you, I would recommend saving your time and money and finding another club. I would go as far to say 99% of the clubs in Montreal would be a better place to spend your time and money. Furthermore, beyond the complete rip off for a price, roughly 30 canadian dollars for a cover, when I would consider even 5 too much for this place, it was gross inside full of rude staff. Their bottle service was child's play with no sparklers and served by rude staff and the club was far too small and dingy. read more

This place is beautiful and luxurious but experience was sub-par. Waited outside in 20 degree weather in a never moving line. Only got in after 45 minutes by random chance a bouncer saw us and gave us a deal on the entry fee. They were charging $20 fee + $3 coat check. Ridiculous considering it was already 1AM and the bar was closing in two hours. A small drink was 10 dollars each and shots equally as pricy. As a college student on spring break, I did not think of this place as memorable but more like tolerable. Wouldn't recommend to a friend. read more

I wish I could give this place zero stars. Do NOT waste your time and money on this club. I went with a few friends last weekend. There was no music variety & we felt very unsafe. My friend was dancing and accidentally bumped into a man walking by. He took both of his hands and choked her till she couldn't breathe. My friends and I were absolutely horrified. As we were leaving we told the bouncer who had let us in that some guy had choked my friend, and he went on to say "Oh he's one of our promoters..he's a great guy". Went out with the ladies on a Monday night. Bottle prices were fair ($180 for a 40 oz of Beefeater). Staff were very friendly, manager Amro put a lot of effort into ensuring that all groups were accommodated appropriately. Washrooms and club were kept very clean throughout the night, I only wish the outdoor terrace was furnished. read more

Good venue but the bartender with the name asgas or something similar, refused to give me a class of water when I asked politely. He said the tapwater is disgusting and undrinkable and said that I needed to buy a 5 dollar water. Horrible service, will not be coming back ever again with my group of 20+ montreal locals, and they are going to spread the word. Get this guy fired. read more

After some time to reflect, I have mixed feelings about this venue. Let's start off with the good. I was here Saturday night and it started really well. The décor, music, and wait staff (especially our server - Nancy) were great. We got our bottles promptly and they continued to refill the chasers/mixers as needed. DJ was good also and ramped up the night pretty well. Now onto the bad. At the end of our night, my party and I were leaving. About half of us were already outside the door and the bouncers suddenly rushed in (I believe there was a fight brewing). I saw the individuals dragged out, but then after that, one the members of my party was dragged out in a headlock with his hands up (no resistance). This is where I have a problem. I've been working at a bar in NYC for the past 8 years so I have much experience dealing with rowdy/overzealous people. The way things were handled by the bouncers was dangerous. If somebody is clearly not resisting or even simply mouthing off, no physical contact is required--an escorted walk out suffices. This is especially true because my friend just wanted to get his coat from coat check. None of this, should have required me to pull off the bouncer as there was no resistance. In addition, I view this as a case of collateral damage because my other friend was shoved out of the way by one of the bouncers in the club trying to get to the fight they were trying to stop behind us. While I understand the immediacy of stopping a fight, you do not shove bystanders (and at the very least if you do, you check on the bystanders quickly). If I count correctly, there were 3 bouncers and 1 manager there so there were more than enough people to smooth a bump out. I hope that Blvd44 gets the security quality to the same quality of its front of the house staff. I'd like to recommend this place to out of towners, but until this is fixed, I say go at your own risk because you can start your night off right but end it in a sour way. read more

Wasn't allowed in after 2 hours of waiting to get in because I was wearing nikes ... a "sports shoe" don't go to this bar if you are even remotely average, cause they won't even let you in... lots of fights and longest lineup because everyone goes VIP and butts the regular lineup by like 20 minutes each.. read more

I will give this establishment credit for their outreach. They do care about their reputation, and any potential discourse surrounding this. That said, the service standard was substantially better, in that the drinks were prepared well, and that the staff was much more attentive to patrons. There is a very nice bottle service area as well, and (during summer) an outside terrace. The security inside still seemed a bit 'intimidating' but you need this to mitigate any unsavory situations, I'm sure. The only point of contention here was that the bouncer (not the manager) at the entry point was still a bit rude, but that seems to come with the territory. The bartender told us that we could use one of the booths until the reservation came through but he switched up as soon as we bought the $300 bottle! The club wasn't bad but definitely wasn't good. For starters i'm a student so pricey clubs kinda aren't my thing but my friends wanted to go so I was like okay even if it's kind of expensive it'll be a good night. The bouncer outside was pretty nice and professional the lady at the coat check had amazing perfume (i'm not bothered by perfume smells so I was cool with it)... the rest of the club however kinda smelled like feet? I don't know how to explain it any other way, don't get me wrong, it was clean, it just smelled weird. Maybe their smoke machine was on the fritz? They had awesome lights though so i'll give props for that. Shots are 5$ a pop and cocktails around 10$, which I suppose fit the atmosphere of the bar and the waitresses were really nice. My biggest cost concern is the 15$ entrance fee plus 3$ for coat check.. 18$ total to get in :/ (basically the cost of a cocktail a shot and a tip.) The main reason I didn't have fun was that on a Saturday night at midnight the club wasn't even sort of full.... the music was fine if you like rap, you could dance to it but no one was, it just didn't have the energy. Apparently the club picked up a little after midnight but I want to have a great night and catch metros and this club did not fit my needs. Someone else may have fun here but I personally have been to better clubs. read more

My friend went to Montreal for the weekend, and someone she ran into recommended this club. She and another friend showed up, but didn't have any cash to check in their coats. The woman at the coat check said that they could check their coats in if they left their phones with her. They handed over their phones and she gave them coat check tickets. My thing is, why someone take a woman's phone when women's safety is already in danger at clubs? When they were ready to grab their things to leave, the woman at the coat check caused a scene. She told them that she only agreed to take their phones with the understanding that they would go to the ATM inside and pay her. This is not true. She never mentioned this. Then, the owner shows up with an attitude. They asked if they could simply pay with their card, but she said no. She tells them to use the ATM. They walk to the ATM... & It's out of order. Shouldn't the owner know that her ATM is not working? The owner sends my friend outside in the freezing cold to get cash out at a gas station ATM! My friend does this. She comes back with the money and the woman at the coat check apparently cannot find my friend's coat. Still, the club owner snatches the money out of my friend's hand for the coat check fee. My friend got her phone back, but the club "lost" her coat. In addition to this, the woman at the coat check says, "It's not here." Well, then where is it? My friend has her coat check ticket the entire time... And showed it to them. She described her coat over and over again, but they still couldn't find it. The woman doesn't even say, "I'm sorry, I am looking for it." She simply says, "It's not here." Then, the club owner tells my friend that she has to leave the club. Yep, kicked her out into the cold and still took her money. Then the club owner proceeded to come outside and started an altercation with my friend. I really do think that the club owner would've hit my friend, had a man not stepped in between. read more

This was the worst place on the strip. My bachelor party group was staying at the Hotel 10 next door. Thought it would be nice convenient to go here. This place was dirty, smelled, and the manager at the time, the one with the broken hand. Yeah, you; was a complete a$$. First he was going to charge us a bottle to stay at the place because we didn't want our table that was under the mezzanine, and behind some curtains. Uh, who want's that? Then he changed his mind and said 2 bottles to stay now. After we just bought 12 vodka shots. Reason we bought a round because he held my credit card and ID for about half an hour. BS. Thumbs down and broken at this place. Now I know why his hand was broken. I wanted to give him a matching pair. Thanks douchebag, we found a cool joint with hot chicks at WOOD35, and spent loads of $$$$$. read more

This place sucks. The DJ plays a 40 second clip of a song b4 he changes to a new song, the bar was uninviting, dark, small, there was NO dance floor, the booth for bottle service was sub-sub-sub-par. The bottles were (as always) overpriced, the clientele did not match the image they were trying to portray to the public. The staff were all dressed well in suits and black and white attire, the clientele were pretty much dressed in semi runners and t-shirts. Due to the bottle service area being a common area free for all, my drinks were spilled over me by the people dancing on the (as I said) nonexistent dance floor. Their layout was so messed up it was like they asked a 4 yr old to design it. Their patio was also poorly designed. Granted it rained which lead everyone on the patio to be under the canopy but they don't seem to have any contingency plans for inclement weather. I would suggest staying away from here. Easily the worst club in Montreal. My friends and I made a reservation at this club and drove 4 hours to get there. We arrived and told the bouncer we were on the guest list and he checked and told us we needed to buy a minimum of two bottles if we wanted to get in. Our reservation never stated we needed to buy any bottles. The bottles are $800 a piece. Worst experience at a night club, ever. Trust me, take your business elsewhere. read more

wonderful! i had my nyc clubbin partner come visit me in montreal, and i went all out finding somewhere to club on a monday nite! i didnt expect much, but the place got comfortably packed, the music was good wit rnb, hiphop then later some dancehall : ) i was having such a grand time that i didn't even stop dancing when police passed thru.. i barely let them past me lol. even my date agreed it was a great find, and i'm definitely heading back there on a friday/saturday. oh, and how could i forget the laser lighting ohmigosh i had to close my eyes and dance at times lol. note: you may know this club as 2108 St. Laurent.. read more

My friends and I went up to Montreal for Grand Prix Weekend. I figured the clubs would be busy, so I made a reservation at Blvd 44 online well in advance of our trip. I then called the club directly and confirmed our reservation had been received. When we got there, confirmation voucher in hand, we were refused entry unless we agreed to buy at least two bottles. The bouncers tried telling us that the two bottle minimum commitment was required with every reservation, but I had made a reservation here less than two months prior for my buddy's bachelor party and that wasn't the case. They lied to my face, wasted our time, and to be honest when I went there before, I was extremely unimpressed with the bottle service and vibe of the entire club in general. The DJ exclusively played top 40 tracks. The bartenders were slow. The prices were outrageous. Trust me - if you're in Montreal and looking for a place to party, you will be extremely disappointed at Blvd 44. read more

I took two of my girlfriends to Blvd44 last year in June, as it was their last night in town. I had made my reservation for a table + 1 bottle online (they said it was for a seated table online), then when we got there, they told me I had to buy TWO bottles in order to have a tiny seated table for THREE women! From my experience, each club has a certain "culture" about it. If this is true, this club's culture involves making you wait in line for an excessive amount of time to generate hype, shoving and budging people to get in (really the only way to get in), and being cramped up too tightly to move while people blow their cig smoke in your face. Not to mention the putrid odor of sweat and non-deodorized armpits falling in waves from the cramped guests around you. I came here at around 12:30. My friend really wanted to try it so we waited 45 minutes outside, even though the music from outside sounded like absolute shit (beat too slow to dance to). We finally got in after being shoved, pushed, cursed at, and having watched dozens of people budging in front of us because they were friends with security. When we asked someone why they wouldn't wait in line like the rest of us, we got pushed and basically told to "fuck off." When we finally got in, the music was horrendous (as I suspected), the coat check was full ("just dance with your coats on," advised the coat check woman), and the entrance fee was still $15. Dancing with my coat on in a club filled with a bunch of budging, pretentious, and straight up smelly-as-fuck assholes to lifeless music was just not going to happen. We noped the fuck out, went to Nesta down the street, got in immediately, and had way more fun there. This club is where club music goes to die. Trust me. Go elsewhere. read more
