The leasing office and management company over BLVD Forty Four and BLVD Ansel are of extremely poor quality, and I would strongly recommend avoiding either of these buildings and look literally anywhere else. Submitting an application for a unit at either of these buildings will only end in a headache and frustration, as trying to sign a lease here is a complete waste of time. They will initially tell you that you need to make a certain income for approval of your application, but then they will change this number after you apply and say "oops, sorry!" They will then tell you that in order to fulfill their requirements you need to submit specific documentation, only to then tell you that what you have submitted is inadequate and they "need more". It doesn't matter if you call and email all day every day and ask all of the "right" questions, as the leasing staff will mislead you and everyone that you speak with will give you conflicting answers and expectations.
This apartment company bases their approval or denial of your application based on income only, even if you and/or your guarantor have a significant amount of funds in savings to show them that you qualify. It doesn't matter if you have millions in the bank, if you don't meet their absurd and oddly specific requirements, you are deemed not worthy of living here. If you decide to apply for this building, I would recommend setting aside 4 weeks at a minimum for the application process as nobody in either leasing office has any sense of urgency and things happen at an astonishingly slow pace even if you fill out all of the required paperwork immediately and reach out to them for updates on your application.
This review reflects the application and leasing process and the inability for the leasing team to provide accurate information to prospective residents or to offer any meaningful, helpful solutions for problems as they arise during the process. After being patient and going back and forth for weeks and desperately trying to move the process along with no success, it is evident that potential residents are not a priority for the leasing office and management company. It is baffling that this is how qualified prospective residents are treated. As a new graduate moving to the area for my first job, I was beyond excited to apply for an apartment at either BLVD Forty Four or BLVD Ansel, and the process has only ended in wasted time, disappointment, and heartbreak. I would highly discourage anyone from applying to live in either of these buildings. There are numerous other rental properties in the area that operate in a kind, helpful, and professional manner and clearly prioritize the experience of their prospective residents, unlike the team at BLVD Forty Four and BLVD Ansel. read more
