We love all the amenities that come with the complex. We love the relaxing atmosphere, pool, gym and all the amazing shops and restaurants we have around. Most importantly the team and maintenance team makes Courts of Devon an Amazing experience. The maintenance team provides high quality service. They go above and beyond for the residents. They care deeply about their community and get any job done immediately and it's completed within less than a hour for us, the same day!!!! They are seriously the BEST maintenance team in the DMV (Pedro, Luis, and Aldo) thank you guys for everything. Kurt works in the rental office (marketing and management team) and he is truly a compassionate and caring person with "High Quality Leadership Values and Skills." My view in the morning of the particular unit that would be available was just that- overlooking the parking lot. It also appeared that there was a lack of diversity in both culture and ages. But that could had been the timing of my tour. On the plus side, they do offer community events for tenants to mingle. That I thought was a big plus. And the large windows in the living room were appealing. But I decided , I needed something larger and more eye appealing with a diversity of tenants of all ages and backgrounds.

I fell in love with the second unit she had showed me, though it is off the market now. If you look at my other reviews, you'll see that I've been touring numerous places and I reiterate that my search has steered because of personal circumstances but nonetheless, my new search remains. I came back into the Galvan to tour one or two one bedroom units with extremely high hopes, given how in love I fell with the previous unit (that's no longer for rent). My agent was just silent or short answered throughout the whole tour. She stepped out of the unit, didn't guide me along or make any suggestions. It flipped my view on the Galvan 360. The walk and elevator ride was complete silence I felt so uncomfortable and unwelcomed. We were going to tour the second unit but I just told her it was fine and that I didn't need to tour it. I remember thinking 'yeah this is totally not happening' and comparing that to the first time I had left the Galvan after my first tour when my thoughts were 'I love that place and I can totally see myself living here.' All in all- the lobby is lively along with the lounge areas. The elevator and hallways are a bit dimmed but nothing that I wouldn't have been able to get past. They have great units which really goes to show that the agent you have can impact your feeling of welcome and 'home' significantly. The Galvan is not a complete write off for me. It will still be on my mind during my revised search. If I set a new tour or actually end up moving into a unit here, I will definitely revise my review to where it fits!

When I moved in one of my blinds was broken, and maintenance replaced it right away. A couple months ago my garbage disposal started to leak badly and had to be replaced. Maintenance took care of it right away, and I haven't had a problem since. There is new management since around last November, and the front office staff has always been friendly and courteous. They are proficient at their work and they clearly care. The building was completed around 1971, but it is in good condition and some of the apartments are in the process of getting upgraded. We have a community room here, a fitness room, an outdoor pool and tennis courts, and a little market. I enjoy being a short walk from the Gaithersburg library, CVS, and Lakeforest Mall. Weis grocery store is not far either, a bit further from the library. The 59 bus comes right outside the front entrance of Walker House. I haven't had any trouble with power or pests. I feel confident recommending Walker House to others who are looking for a comfortable, laid-back place to live.
