I loved her philosophy - which is to make her clients look like the best version of themselves, as opposed to caking on makeup in a way a bride would probably regret - and thought she executed it perfectly. I felt beautiful on my wedding day, and thought my makeup looked 100 in the wedding photos. Equally important, she made me feel totally at ease both times we worked together, was very open to feedback, and was just plain fun to hang out with. For brides who aren't getting married in SF proper, Meaganne is willing to travel, which was super helpful. My wedding was in Los Gatos, and Meaganne didn't bat an eye making the hour+ drive, and navigating her way to our off-the-beaten-path venue. I think she may charge a small fee if she needs to travel more than a certain number of miles, but it was nominal and on par with what other makeup artists charge. I had trial sessions with a couple other professionals in San Francisco, but once I met with Meaganne, I was hooked. I'm pretty picky about makeup - I don't wear foundation and HATE the feeling of having something caked on. But Meaganne knew exactly what to do to make me feel natural, confident, and ready to get married! She makes you feel and look like yourself and not some made up version of a typical bride. When I found out she also did hair, I gave her a try and loved every style she tested on me...it was honestly hard to choose! I received so many compliments on my hair and makeup, and have since given her name to several people. Her prices are incredibly reasonable (far cheaper than the other trials I had), especially considering her level of talent. On the day of the trial I thought she would come to me, but that was not the case (oh no!). I was able to make it to her studio in time to still have my appointment which did not feel rushed at all despite me being late. She is knowledgeable about skin health and gave me great tips on making my skin look as healthy as possible for the wedding day. I do not usually wear makeup and loved the finished product. My husband on the other hand looked at me like I was a total stranger! She is skilled in contouring and highlighting. She knew exactly how to make my eyes pop and look "doe" like with eye shadow, shimmer, liner, and perfectly placed lashes. We were so lucky to find this clean and easy to access salon.
