Came here as I was referred by Mercedes Benz of Hilton Head. My car was reared ended in a car accident. I came here for an estimate and was advised the car was drivable. I pointed out the wires hanging and they were just tucked back in by hand. Just to fall out when I drove off. So based on that I went supermarket shopping only to learn that the trunk won't close that was rear ended. So the car then needed to be towed back here. Communication was not the best and I would call to get information constantly. Since parts had to be ordered and the car was a year old the process took seven weeks. All the while no communication and they have my vehicle sitting outside in the back of the building. When it was ready they called and I left my rental there to get picked up. Only to later find out the trunk still did not close. So I have to bring it back and they said it will be awhile. Well since I no longer had a rental I had to wait. Thankfully it was only a couple hours not a half a day. The accident was bad but this place doing the repair just added to my pain and aggravation. The only positive is they worked with the insurance company to get paid. read more

My sisters Subaru was hit and damaged in a parking lot this afternoon. The bumper was hanging loose. We were fearful that it wouldn't be safe to drive back to Virginia. Called Bluffton auto body and was told that they would try to help if we got there before they closed. The team secured the bumper and repositioned a loose light. Taped it securely for her in just a few minutes. The owner declined any payment for this swift and generous service to someone from out of state. Incidentally the shop looked like a top notch place. Clean and spacious. I would definitely use them again if needed. read more

I scratched my car on th the side of my garage. It was the garage his fault, but my insurance company wouldn't except that. I took my car to bluffton auto body and was very pleased that they were able to buff out the scratch and only charge me $200 I'm sure that had I gone through my insurance it would've been much more. DR I cannot say enough about this auto body shop. They not only gave me the lowest estimate by far, they finished the job in two days, not the three they thought it would take. And the car looks better than new. Perfect blending of the fender flair and paint match. I am more than thrilled at the quality of their work. With the other two estimates I got, they wanted to replace the fender and not even try to repair it. The estimates the other companies gave me were more than double the cost from Bluffton Autobody. I must preface this comment by emphasizing the fact that I have never once felt the need to admonish a business owner despite unpleasant experiences in the past. The owner, Joey, is the single worst individual I have ever encountered as a businessman. My vehicle took 4 months to schedule for repairs and even after I confirmed my appointment the week prior, I arrived to find out that they had no information and my appointment was canceled. Once it was finally in the shop, I was lied to 3 different times about the duration of repairs, which I respectfully mentioned was time-sensitive. On the day I was told it would finally be ready I call (because nobody communicated with me) to confirm pickup. I was told they just opened a box with a part and it was not painted. I could come pick up the vehicle, but they'd need me to come back to quickly paint the part. Joey emphasized over and over again that it would only take 5 minutes and I could stop by anytime. Given my hesitance of such a reassurance given prior failed promises, I asked if I could make an appointment. He said that was not necessary and reiterated repeatedly that it was just 5 minutes to address. When I show up, his staff is perplexed. They share some unflattering comments about Mr. Joey and say the 5 minute guarantee is not feasible. When Joey arrives he immediately starts yelling in my face, denying his comments, and admonishing me in front of his staff with such unprofessional rhetoric like, "you're an idiot." I ask him to be more respectful and am surprised by his outburst. He continues to vent and yells at me to leave and get out. Stunned, I am standing there with his technician, and neither of us know what to say or do. I don't care how many positive reviews you see for Bluffton Autobody--please do not look past this sincere and honest account. Any attempt by Joey to spin the actual interactions with a dishonest narrative are simply for show. This owner does not deserve anyone's business and I will even be contacting my insurance company to advise them to consider removing Bluffton Autobody from any list of legitimate vendors. Bad business and an even worse person. read more

Just received my car back from Bluffton Auto Body and can't say enough good things about this experience. Had a window come off the track, drop down in the door, nver to be seen again, ha ha. They reassured me it was no big deal. Left the car for the day and they fixed it right up. But they also had my car washed - inside and out - unexpectedly. Their office staff is professional, their work is flawless and their prices are just plain fair. I will tell everyone to go there. In fact, i told one of my employees and he is having them do work now. Best experience in a long time.
