Not only do they provide top-notch care, but they also make sure that all of my needs are met and my worries at ease.. and trust me I've shown my true colors and I've asked endless questions and had countless of worries over this one month as I'm recovering from knee surgery. They. are. the. best. Let's face it, Physical Therapy can be tough and challenging, but their team and staff are simply the best in the business. What sets them apart is of course their extent of knowledge, their friendly team, but also their ability to connect with you on a personal level. I feel seen, heard, respected and genuinely cared for each day I leave here. They know what they're doing and they do it beyond well. As an athlete, I had countless worries about returning to my sport in the future, but they have been there every step of the way, addressing each concern with their extensive knowledge and warm personalities. With many more months to go until the end of my recovery journey and hopefully returning to my beloved sport, I am grateful to have found a place where I am treated like a human being, not just another client. This level of personalized care is a serious quality that sets Excel Rehabilitation apart from other businesses. Their impeccable knowledge and expertise in the field are evident. Their facility is clean and welcoming. Their service is well above 5 stars. I have complete confidence that they will continue to support me every step of the way, and I can't wait to see the progress we make together. Sometimes my therapist was working with three patients simultaneously but two is the norm. On the other hand, their staff is hard to work with. I was an old patient and going there for more than 3 months for the same issue. They charged me $50.00 penalty for not showing up. I will not go or recommend this place to anyone. Dr. Chavone and Dr. Gwen are a great team and run the best PT place in NOVA. Highly trained, experienced, knowledgeable and friendly therapists. I've been seeing them post achilles surgery for about 3 weeks. In addition to needing PT to regain full use of my ankle and foot, 8 weeks in a boot left me with an injured kneed from walking funny and significant muscle atrophy. Not only have I been making great progress, but I actually feel myself getting stronger. Both Dr's are great at giving encouragement, motivation and a little helpful push when you need it. They also really listen to their patients and their patients bodies. Finally, Dr. Chavone and Dr. Gwen are always happy to answer any questions in detail- in layman's terms all the way up to an in depth medical discussion. Everything is SUPER CONVENIENT: plenty of parking, unlike trying to get in/out of fair oaks hospital complex; plenty of hours available; and an elevator in back that takes you right to the office. Their office itself is very clean, has everything needed to provide excellent care and very bright, open and welcoming. It looks like a small, very modern gym with up-to-date brand new equipment. My initial therapy is about halfway finished, but I hoping I can continue to do more balance and strength workouts. I really like this crew. OK, in one of their rooms is what looks like some kind of suspension training system. When I asked, they said it was the REDCORD NEURAC system. If you don't play for the Washington Capitol Hockey team, you can't find this anywhere within 50 miles of the DC/NOVA area. it is one of the most innovative and effective (peer reviewed) systems for treating challenging muscle/skeletal pain. I really wanna try it for or Post Laminectomy Syndrome (back pain/leg sciatica). If I do, i'll post a follow-up review. http://www.redcordamerica.com/neuromuscular-activation/neurac-system.php One important thing that I didn't know until Dr. Johnson told me this the other day. Think you can benefit from PT? Just self-refer and call them. The Doctors are able to do an independent assessment, and prescribe up to 30 days of initial therapy as well as recommend you to a local MD who can prescribe further therapy. I cannot recommend more highly!
