Maybe that was the case four years ago, but it's not any longer. I think they've become a little too exclusive for our own good. I had complicated travel plans and I really needed help putting it together (multiple countries, flights, trains, hotels, things to see, etc), so I contacted these people. The first thing they did was send me their prices. I knew there would be a cost, but I hadn't expected it to be exorbitant! I hesitated for some time, disappointed. I determined that it would probably cost me about $600 just for their service, but I finally decided to go for it, figuring the peace of mind would be worth it. Next, they asked me to provide a description of what I was looking for. So I wrote up a summary of what I had in mind and what I needed, taking a fair amount of time to do this. This was apparently passed to the agents who looked it over and decided I wasn't a suitable client. "We unfortunately cannot allocate the dedicated time needed to piece together your trip in a way that meets our high standards. For these reasons, we're very sorry that we won't be able to assist with this particular request." They want to be able to create an entire LUXURY packaged trip for you of their own creation using places they already have in their files-- that's what I got out of what they told me. So if you know you want to visit, say, Greece and have your dates but nothing else planned, and money is no object, then by all means, give them a call. I'm sure they'll put together something spectacular. But for the rest of us 99%ers, this is not the place.

She let us know that they have an apple picking experience that happens once in a while. We bought some juicy pomegranates for only a dollar each. I was struggling with how to plan something special for a group of 6 without busting the bank and still getting a great experience. I heard about Kathy & Jim's "The Bus Stop Pismo Beach" tour through a niece. I will tell you this was perfect! First, Kathy & Jim are two of the sincerest people you will meet. They both are members at wineries throughout the Edna Valley, so they know their stuff and they love (almost passionate about... ) wines from this valley. One of the sisters is a a wine lover and shared that every winery that Kathy took them too was some of the best ones to visit. Every stop we had a reserved area so Kathy put in the time and catered the tour to us. But it didn't stop there! They included an afternoon snack time at one of the wineries and they shared local products from the valley too. Again, they are passionate about their valley and it extends beyond the wine. The best part of for me was the ride. It is a working, vintage VW Bus!!! This experience took the sister-in-laws back to their glory days; lol... Kathy was the perfect host. I happen to be travelling to the central coast and decided to try a whale watch from Avila Beach Ocean Safaris. THIS WAS THE MOST INCREDIBLE WHALE WATCH I'VE HAVE EVER BEEN ON. I understand that the Vincent Shay cannot make whales appear, but he was so skilled at finding the underwater schools of fish that we were treated to the most incredible display of whales lunge feeding. For hours we were "trapped", surrounded by every kind of sea creature - gulls, cormorants, pelicans, shooty shearwaters, sea lions, dolphins but most of all humpback whales. They were arriving from every direction. the sound of the sea birds was deafening and the sound of the whales spouting and trumpeting was beyond amazing. We were late getting back because we were surrounded by whales. They were so close that the spray was getting us wet. A raft of sea lions right next to the boat, jumping and diving for the sardines below us. It was magical - I don't have the sufficient adjectives to describe it. If you are in the Paso Robles, SLO, really anywhere on the central coast, definitely give this a try.

Our party wished the drive to the breweries were further so we could sing and dance in the bus longer. The breweries we went to were not crowded which was convenient because we got all beer and food fast. One of the locations even had outdoor games which was great.
