We had such a fun trip through the vineyards, and the women driving were total badasses. First time in a sidecar!

In general, the restored houses & the interesting stuff, is not open to the public, except on special occasions. I am a donor & supporter and even I often get forgotten for email invites. Since I am a relatively new local & was not born & raised here, my enthusiasm is not as great as those who can trace their ancestry back to Price's time. Awhile back, when I first donated, I went to check the place out. I found some hardy volunteers struggling with cutting grass & dealing with a water leak. I helped as best as I could, until a kind police officer used quite a bit of muscle to fully close a shut off main. After that ordeal, the caretaker was kind enough to give me a brief, but nice little tour of the inside of the Price house. While volunteers did an amazing job of restoration, some stuff was not original. The history of Price house can be found on the internet, if you are curious. As for the park area itself, it is pleasant enough, but rather raw & undeveloped. There is really not much to do nor see...especially for kids. I do appreciate the place for it's history & it still being sort of a serene oasis among the ugly developments. I have also found it to be a nice spot for some wildflower pics when in season. I think that it is a nobel endeavor & they do on-line donations if you are kind enough.

I brought my fiancée to Paso Robles for the animals (not the wine) to celebrate her 30th birthday…read more This was 100% the best animal experience we've ever had. Spoiler-wise - I was very happy that I did not read too many reviews prior to our visit. The surprise of meeting each animal was a delight, and probably would not have been as joyful if I knew what to expect or was expecting to meet a specific animal that was not part of the tour. Don't read further if you'd like to have a similar experience as us! *** We arrived early and were immediately greeted by Lisa, an animal caretaker veteran who runs the rescue with her husband. I obviously did not do enough research because I expected more guests, but quickly realized that it was just our small group of 2. Lisa purposely keep tours to a smaller group to reduce stress to the animals. Lisa was incredibly knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and clearly passionate about her work. She made us feel comfortable right away, and tailors the tour based off her observations of us, the guests. We interacted with owls, a hawk, river otters, a talking raven, teenage capybaras, an elder spider monkey, a sloth, a laughing kookaburra, an armadillo, a ruffled lemur, and many more critters! Each animal interacted with us on their own accord. She never forced an animal to do something they did not want to. After the tour, she welcomed us to explore the facilities and we saw some warthogs, eagles, and a fennec fox. All I can say is that the price was worth it! My childhood dreams of being a zookeeper fulfilled.

The Best Birthday Gift Ever (Sorry, Wrapped Presents!)…read more Forget fancy dinners or gift cards -- my daughter wanted a trip to Conservation Ambassadors - Zoo to You, rather than traditional presents and wow... best birthday idea ever! From the start, Lisa welcomed us like old friends. She's warm, funny, and clearly in love with every creature there -- and by the end, we were too. We hand-fed a two-toed sloth, played ball with an armadillo, fed and snuggled capybaras, hung out with a lemur who could've starred in a movie, and met kangaroos, otters, and birds of prey. Each one had its own personality -- and honestly, they all stole our hearts. The best part? No crowds, no long lines, no "hurry up and move along." Just real moments with amazing animals who seemed to enjoy meeting us as much as we loved meeting them. And knowing that our visit helps fund their care and future rescues makes it even better. If you're looking for a one-of-a-kind, feel-good, unforgettable experience -- this is it. Worth every penny and then some!

I would definitely come back here to learn about the house and to take the guided tour. This wasn't the purpose for me coming today but the gentleman who works here noted that it's a great tour and I know friends who have enjoyed learning about the family and the history of the house, getting a deeper dive of information. I came here with some friends for their first hosted event Sound Bath. A wellness day if you will. From start to finish everything was very organized and thoughtful. The staff hosting the event and the spiritual wellness guide and sound healer was wonderful. Everyone was nice and you felt welcomed. Not pretentious and just very positive and good vibes. We had a nice group and everyone was respectful and on time for the sound bath so it went off without issue. It was a relaxing experience and the grounds were very nice to hold this outdoor event. The birds were chirping, the sun was shining, we found an area with shade, very nice. Very faint sounds of cars in the distance here and there which wasn't ideal but out of their control and once things settled in you really couldn't hear much external noise. After the relaxing sound bath we were offered tea and light pastry snacks. I opted for a water and began exploring the grounds instead of partaking in the refreshments. The grounds are lush and lovely, very zen. Loved the beautiful trees and walkways with small fountains and running water. It was green and pretty all around from the recent rains. Definitely a great location for events and to learn a little SB history. I will definitely do my research and come back again soon.

The grounds here are very quaint, with a nice entryway of olive trees and a fountain. The concrete and modernish building and its outside patios are very cleanly kept. We sat outside at comfortable seating with some shade from trees. Our server was welcoming and friendly. She also was accommodating for one in our party who wasn't a Pinot fan. Their main wines consisted of Chardonnay and Pinot, with a few offsite vineyards used for Cabernet Sauvignon. I enjoyed their wines, though found them a bit pricy, even comparing to the more pricier Napa region that we more often frequent. That said, we came away with a few bottles. Being more local to Napa, we prob trended toward the more robust reds (charlatans!), so definitely liked the Akubra which was a bit off menu. Still, as a novice Pinot person and more of a reds guy, I still enjoyed their chard and Pinot enough to have them hold their own. We were recommended the place from a local, and didn't get a chance to hit many of the Edna Valley wineries on this particular trip, but felt satisfied in visiting this one before we set out for lunch. Worth a visit!

Our group have easily visited 250+ wineries and many of those we visited several times. We easily qualify as experts in the area of wine tasting. Based on our visit to Biddle Ranch as well as reviews I read the venue does not put an emphasis on hospitality. Our server (not educator) was nice but she seems to not care. Not care about selling wine, promoting or educating us about their wine and frankly or likes or dislikes. This behavior was repeated with other customers she was serving that day. If we are having a great time we reciprocate with numerous wine purchases and a generous tip. We only purchased the minimum to wave our tasting fees and could only justify the very minimum of gratuity. I truly hope management reads this post and invests time in better training their employees. We are in the area often and would love to have a spot to sip some wine before dinner. Based on this visit, I don't think so!
