Lifeguard classes here are a scam. They change the date and then don't reimburse you. Do not do your classes here!

We absolutely love Australian Swimming School! My daughter has been taking swimming lessons since…read moreshe was just 3 months old, and now at 4 years old, she is an amazing swimmer. Watching her grow from a tiny baby into such a confident and skilled swimmer has been incredible. We truly believe her swimming abilities are a reflection of the wonderful instructors, patience, consistency, and care she has received throughout the years. Australian Swimming School has given her the confidence and skills to be safe and comfortable in the water, and we couldn't be more grateful. We highly recommend Australian Swimming School to any parent looking for a swim program. They have been such an important part of our daughter's journey, and we are so thankful we started her lessons here! ‍

Bear with me because I have a lot to say, and I want to give the good and the bad. First of all,…read morelet me just say that the instructors were always great with my kiddos. I especially want to give a shout out to Perry because he was always so gentle and caring with my little one. Both my kids started at Australian Swim school in the parent and me class and my oldest is six now, so I guess I can say we were long time customers. We never had an issue with any of the instructors. My oldest is autistic so I know he was challenging sometimes, but they always found a way to make it work. Now, we did end up leaving because of little things that started bothering us. One of those things was the poor maintenance of the facility. I noticed that things would breakdown and they would remain broken down for months, the temperature of the water in the showers was inconsistent, sometimes it was really hot, and other times we couldn't get it warm enough. When we left, one of the doors for one of the changing stalls had been broken for months, and already there were only like 3 or 4 stalls available, so this only made things worse, but even with all this, we were still happy to bring our kids to their swim lessons. I think what finally had us looking into other swim schools was the fact that my youngest had been in the parent and me class for over a year, and despite his instructor telling us that he thought our son was ready to move up a level, management always found a reason to not move him up. Which is interesting because at the new place, he started on the next level right off the bat, and he's been doing great! I want to finish this review by saying that I'm grateful to Australian swim school for giving my children such a positive first experience in swimming, and I'm grateful to the instructors for their patience and dedication to the kids. I do hope that the owners consider updating their facility and fixing whatever is broken, because if they don't, I think they're going to lose more customers to their competitors. Especially when there's little to no difference in pricing for newer and better maintained facilities. I hope this feedback helps!

Everyone is kind, caring, and you can tell they love what they do. The facility is extremely clean, and the viewing area is the best I've seen. The huge glass window makes you feel like you're right there with your child. What means the most to me is how they work with my son, who is level 3 autistic and loves the water. Their lead instructor, Norma, is incredible. She specializes in working with kids on the spectrum and handles my son with so much patience, calmness, and positivity, even when his behavior can be challenging. It gives me real peace of mind. She is a 10 out of 10. At the same time, my other 4 year old has moved up four levels in just six months and is now swim safe. Big thank you to the managers, Shaan and Raj, who are always accommodating and easy to communicate with. If you are looking for a swim school that truly understands and supports children on the autism spectrum, I highly recommend Goldfish.

Every time I call, text, or speak to someone in person, they are kind, friendly, positive, upbeat, and understanding. My son loves the pool and seeing Bubbles the Goldfish everywhere (and the turtle). The whole facility is very cute and clean. They have plenty of dressing rooms and bathroom stalls, a vanity with hairdryers, cotton swabs, and hair ties, showers on the pool deck with body wash, a fish tank, and a kids table with magnatiles, crayons, and blocks. The class sizes are small (6 students in Mini classes) and well-paced. The water is very warm and the instructors are encouraging and understanding. My son mostly just wants to play with the balls and barbell floatie so we like that toys are incorporated. They have a lot of membership options (month to month, seasonal packages, etc) and were very easy to reschedule with when needed. Parking can be limited in the evenings because of the surrounding businesses so plan accordingly. Happy swimming!

A few friends/neighbors also recommended Blue Buoy. Great communication from the start. However noting that I did not choose to attempt to go back here my spouse did on her own. She brought our nephew back against my better advice and appearantly has had better and more accommodating overall experience with them this time around. Ill give them two extra stars for this. However this tells me either A. Our previous instructor was the issue originally or B. They improved because of our review for us specifically. In addition my spouse has brought our newphew's sibling this time and I was a bit shocked and surprised to see them only giving a $5 per month discount for siblings sign-ups. I would have expected a $50 or 25% discount for this. Lastly, I do wish they had some sort of guarantee for early swimmers such as...kids will learn to swim independently within 3 months of lessons. There is no guaranteed like that here so it may take 1 months 1 year or 3 years for said kids to learn to swim which is a bit concerning for how much that is charged. I do know a couple competitors offer guarantees like this. Regardless overall this review does mark an improvement from last review.

I was very hesitant to try again with our 4 year old that didn't have any interest in learning to swim, was timid of the water and refused to go beyond the first step in the pool. Coach B was recommended to us and I am so glad that I took a chance and signed up all 3 of my kids! He's gentle yet firm, builds trust while encouraging kids to push past their comfort zones, and strikes the perfect balance between patience and challenge. My 4-year-old cried on the first day, cried a little less on the second, and was still a bit whiny on the third. But even then, I could tell he trusted Coach B. By day four, he was walking into the pool with a smile, excited to swim! By the end of the 10 days, my once timid little guy was confidently swimming and genuinely excited to be in the water. My 6-year-old already knew the basics but lacked confidence and endurance. Coach B improved his stroke technique, kicking, and taught him to roll onto his back to rest before flipping over to continue swimming. Before the program, he would quickly resort to doggy paddling. By the end, he was confidently swimming the full length of the pool with proper technique. My 9-year-old was already comfortable swimming and floating on her back, so Coach B focused on refining her breathing, stroke mechanics, and overall efficiency. She finished the program noticeably stronger and more confident in the water. All three of our children finished these 10 days as stronger, more capable, and more confident swimmers. They enjoyed learning from Coach B! They respected and trusted him! As parents, that's exactly what we hoped for. My husband and I are already planning to sign them up again next year.

Thanks to his professionalism and skill, we've seen incredible progress for both our 6 year old son and 4 year old daughter. We couldn't be happier and highly recommend him to anyone looking for top-tier swim instruction!

We absolutely love water works, and will miss our weekly sessions there!…read more My daughter began weekly private swim lessons at age 3 and is now a better swimmer than most adults I know, thanks to her instructor, Maxim. The way he interacts with children, motivates them while keeping classes silly and fun, is truly impressive. The company itself is also incredibly helpful. My daughter had a broken leg that prevented her from swimming, and the team helped us put our lessons on pause without forfeiting her recurring slot with Maxim, and even refunded us for her missed lesson the weekend prior. We drive from far and my experience with Waterworks has been really frustrating. I really wanted Waterworks to work out for us; however, it's been almost a year now and we've had over 10 instructors. Our classes were on Sundays and they were often canceled or rescheduled because my daughter's instructors either called out or didn't show up. Perhaps people call out a lot on Sundays? My daughter takes a while to warm up to people so with the new faces and high turnover rate, after a year, she still does not know how to float. It's VERY DISAPPOINTING. Their customer service is great but there's such a high turnover rate at Waterworks... I do not recommend for kids who take a while to warm up to new people.
