This is an update to my previous review - No other facility (not even our primary veterinarian) would repair the ruptured sutures so we had no choice but to return to blue Pearl. A surgery tech called us before we reached out to convey this information (she was following up) - and was appalled to hear how Danielle handled the situation - even more appalled to hear that she told us we would be charged and readmitted through the ER. She instructed us to come in and ask for her, which we did and we were very pleased. Surgical team, 5 stars - blue Pearl admin team ZERO stars. A month later and we take our pet in to have his sutures removed, which we were not charged for (as no one should be). The service provided by the surgical team and technicians was *great*, however I see that blue pearl responded to my review it stating "thank you for speaking with our leadership team", let's be clear nobody from their "leadership team" has reached out to me or my spouse. Hopefully there was a teachable moment here, maybe Danielle was just having a bad day...who knows. No one ever reached out to us though.

My Booster and I drove all the way up from Lawton, OK. It was after hours and and Neel's was recommended to us. When we arrived at Neel's we were told that my pup had to be referred to BluePearl, Tulsa, or Dallas because they did not have the surgeons or capabilities to perform surgery for IVDD - and fortunately BluePearl had an opening at 2AM with an open surgery slot at 8AM. I've had people tell me to not go to BluePearl because it's too expensive, but I will tell you that they were the most caring, attentive, and compassionate doctors and technicians I could ever ask for - that is priceless. I had to euthanize my Booster because his condition wasn't what we thought it was at previous vet clinics, but an inoperable tumor that was causing him excruciating pain. They have the equipment and medication that help maintain his pain levels that other clinics did not have that allowed me to lay with him in his final hours. Dr. Emily was patient with me and comforted me and my Booster in his final moments. She rubbed his paws, stared and talked to him, and shared comforting words and stories to me. Her compassion and empathy will be forever part of my memories. The technicians were so kind and supportive. I left BluePearl wishing this hospital was closer to me. Your pets will be taken care of in an impressive facility, 24 hour care, they weren't annoyed when I kept calling back on his status before planned surgery, offered text messages for photos if I wanted, and overall had the best empathy I could ask for. Please consider having pet insurance. In moments like this where emotions are high, you are willing to do anything financially for your furbabies. I didn't care how expensive his surgery would've been because I knew I would've been reimbursed for most of it. Have a credit card specifically for pet emergencies and nothing else. Get HealthyPaws insurance or Trupanion as early as you can because pre-existing conditions will not be covered in the future. That is my advice to everyone that are pet owners. My Booster boy would be here today after his surgery if it were IVDD, but God had other plans. Thank you BluePearl Team - you were everything I could ever ask for and more. You are so appreciated and your skills and compassion is everything the pet world needs.

HIGHLY recommend BP OKC! We have been taking our Chihuahua here for years and every single time- he is treated like an absolute King. Warm welcomes, super compassionate staff, exceptionally brilliant vets and top notch medical care and treatment. They also do a really good job at giving direction and advice on next steps post-ER visit. They are the only ER I know that gives real-time updates and pics- unmatched. You truly get what you pay for with them too! I never feel like anything is overpriced. These staff and docs deserve every penny!!!

Took my dog in for a mass on her shoulder. Sent it to a pathologist ($170), even though the doctor on call said it probably could have been done in-house, she just wanted the expert opinion. Thanks for that extra charge without my consent. They don't have any answers outside of the assumption that it's a severe reaction to her vaccines done a week or so ago. ($330) for that, and some anti inflammatory medication. Arrived around 8:30pm, received a call from the doc after waiting until 10:40, and then didn't receive the test results until midnight- I had to call, because the doctor made a point to say her shift ended at midnight. On a weeknight. They were busy, we were understanding. Here's the great part! They give us Carprofen. In case you didn't know, like WE WEREN'T TOLD(?!?!), dogs find this medication to be particularly tasty, and will COMMONLY eat through the pill bottles to get it. My dog doesn't eat pills. Especially not pills all the way up on our kitchen counter, where we keep our daily medications. So my fiancé came home to an empty pill bottle, and called these good-for-nothings. They told us to call the poison control hotline-$60 fee JUST TO TALK TO SOMEONE. The fee does apply to your vet bill however, if you are referred in. We're beyond inducing vomit the hotline says, so we have to take her in, because she's consumed 6 days of medication in the last 24 hours, which is irreparable damage to her insides. We bring her in, and now we're waiting on a phone call. Thank you BluePearl for finding a way to make more money, and potentially killing my dog. In my field, you can lose your fucking license for excluding that kind of information. The only reason there's a one-star, is because you're open when my vet is closed. JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE. $32 for induced vomiting! Which I could have done at home. And between another medication and the charcoal to keep her from aspirating, a whopping total of $220!!! $550 in the span of three days. You are liable BluePearl.

This is Charlie

Just brought my cat in. Charlie is a 15 month old ragdoll, sweet, healthy and happy. Last night I noticed that he was having a lot of trouble standing up, and couldn't take more than a few steps before laying down. Called my vet and they told me to bring him here. Charlie and I were greeted by one of the nurses. She was kind , attentive and very helpful. The checkin process was quick, we were put in a room right away and Charlie was evaluated almost immediately. They took him inside just now for a more comprehensive exam. As I sat here, I started reading the reviews for this place. I was a bit surprised to see how many negative comments were posted, but so far my experience here has been the best I could've hope for. This place is clean, well staffed, and I can hear the staff welcoming new pets and their owners from here I'm sitting. All I hear and see is a group of amazing professionals. I hear nothing but calm voices, compassionate comments and very nice demeanor from everyone. I'll update the review when they come back from the exam room and we get to go home.

Wonderful staff. Great place. I know in an emergency, my pup will get the best care. But it's very very pricey.

Amazing!! Such an incredible staff! Had to unfortunately bring my puppy in for an emergency and they took such good care of her and of us!

Now we are 3 days past when she was supposed to get it ... they still haven't filled it and it's been impossible to get ahold of a real person. This is genuinely pathetic and we will NEVER be returning here after years of being loyal patients. Get it together. How are people supposed to trust you with their animals when you can't even handle a simple prescription??? I would also like to add that they almost killed our cat last year because they were so scared of her moving around LIKE A NORMAL CAT that they had us give her way too many meds for her weight. She was literally throwing up all over herself and became completely lethargic. They never apologized or accepted responsibility for the fact that the only reason she reacted like that was because of the dosage they prescribed.

In this case,…read moreI do not have the vocabulary to express my true love and gratefulness I have for Livewell Animal Hospital in Edmond. The facility is spotless, the communication is wife open and crystal clear, and the pricing for their services and their procedures seem fair to me having very little exposure to paying elsewhere. But what I believe really sets them apart is the staff. There are more that I have yet to meet, I'm sure. But the amazing women that I've had the distinct honor of interacting with many times are Peggy, Marissa, Keely, and Dr. Kearce. I am anxiety ridden to my very core and this amazing team has gone above and beyond to calm me down, listen to my concerns and address each and every one in detail, and go out of their way to take care of my dog and to take care of me and my mental health as well. They've seen me at my lowest of lows feeling broken down and have handled me with the same grace and care that they extend to my dog. I am missing names of other staff I've talked to, I'm sure, but please know that I am truly grateful for every single person that has worked with Kylo and I from the very first day I came in. I cannot recommend this team enough. They are truly special and I would trust them with anything having to do with my dogs.

Our 3rd visit to this clinic. Our first visit we were informed no appointments available, except…read moreSaturday. Basically, first come, first serve. Makes sense and workable. First visit went well, 20-minute wait, but overall care for our dog was fabulous. Very reasonable fees too. Next trip was for meds only, unlike other vets, an appointment charge was not required. Another win! Unfortunately, today, less than an acceptable visit. stopped in at 11:23am, was told that all vets were at lunch, understandable, so non-issue. We purchased the needed meds, $439. An employee apologized that no vet was available but suggested we come back again at 1:30 pm. We did so, actually 1:15 pm. Two others were there before us, so not a huge time concern, plus I falsely assumed that been asked back at 1:30 pm from the no vet available at 11:30 am, we would have a priority attention. After waiting nearly 90 minutes, a long wait to be sure, but the frustration was that four other people came in after us, but were attended to before us? Their protocols and communication were very confsuing and seemingly inconsitantly enforced. A total wait time for the day nearly three hours. When I went to the check in counter expressing my confusion and dissatisfaction, then, miracuoulsy, they could "get me in" next. It was a frustrating experience, an unnecessary waste of time for me and very traumatic for our 14-year-old dog. She spent the same three hours shaking, shivering and fearful. Very unprofessional communication and concern today for us and our dog. Batting zero no, dropped from batting 1000, at best the clinic is a roll of the dice. Didn't live to the rave reviews I had heard about the clinic. Hence the maybe recommend rating.
