The one owner was super into supporting trump and would talk all day about how good trump was and how great his ideas would be for the business and for Canada in general. It made me so so so uncomfortable I just didnt understand what that had to do with running that business. The one owner has a hot temper. He would lose his temper at some of the smallest stuff. I worked hard to design a new store website for them and when he was screaming at me to fire me he made sure to say it was specifically because of my disability. They broke multiple labour laws, refused to pay me my final pay check and abruptly fired me. They lied on my record of employment rendering me unable to obtain EI and left me very close to becoming homeless. Simply because the male owner has a hot temper and didnt like me. They will treat people negatively based on their narrow minded views and they treat their staff horribly. This reflected in the quality of work. They would make simple mistakes like accidentally mixing up two diamond wedding bands during inspection or misplacing a diamond. Its truly a reflection of the lack of compassion and chosen bigotry they have towards anyone who doesnt agree with their conservative views. If you value your jewelry I would highly recommend not risking it with these people.

OK - so as I've mentioned, I frequent a lot of stores similar to this one. Some are pricey, some are awesome values. This is definitely on the pricey end of the range, so no redeeming stars to be had there. Yes, it's on the tourist trap strip, but given that they're big enough to have online sales, and that the prices were beyond what I see in Toronto, doesn't help my rating. The range of merchandise is pretty good - lots of harder to find, more unusual pieces like calligraphy collections and the like, and a few glass pen selections. Daytimer and diary selection was pretty thin. Better range of plain sketch books and one or two music book choices. For the plush character merchandise, it wasn't so great - some more recognized Pokemon characters and a lot of generic animals, fruits, etc. There's some jewellery, backpacks, etc. Not much in terms of housewares/practical items like mugs, eating ware (except for portable), boxes, etc. The store was not laid out very well and the merchandise needs to be hunted through for differing varieties of some of the items. My hindsight brings up a dark and dingy image compared to the cute and bright logo on the outside of the store. Last but not least nail in this review coffin, I was actually insulted by the staff's attitude and remark while cashing out. Not only could I sense the attitude in their down-the-nose gaze, which was chilly enough, I got the message loud and clear that working here is all about them when I made my usual request not to have the 2 pieces of receipts stapled together. "Well, our policy is that returns need them both, so I (underline, bold and capitalize that "I") need it [sic] stapled." Okay, YOU need them stapled. WE won't be back. Not in the store and won't bother looking online, either.

There were a lot of different tools for journaling including an array of gel pens, stickers, and notebooks including ones with 2020 dates, diaries with flaps, and bound leather journals. They had some fashion accessories like fuzzy scarves, mittens, and hats. There were some anime statues in a display case up front but I wouldn't say that's the focus of the store. The store is really well organized and neat. There was only one associate working there when we dropped by who was industriously rearranging the shelves. She left us alone for the most part but thanked us for coming in as we left.

I went to the store on the hunt for a new purse. You have to know that purses in this store cost between $115 - $435. I didn't see anything that I like in the store so made my way to the other store uptown also called "Felicity and Fritz" and owned by the same owner. I found the most gorgeous purse there and proceeded to the cash. When I handed the cashier my gift certificate she sorry, this can only be used at the other store (2 blocks away). The cashier called the owner and she said No as well. I proceeded to go to the other store and spoke with the owner, explaining that I found a purse in her other store. She still said no, she could only honour the gift certificate at the one store. I asked why? You are the owner of both stores? She said yes but she had 2 different computer systems and one store would recognize the other. I still dont get it - The other store is closing so all the left over merchandise will be transferred down and sold in the one store anyway. She is the owner and has the authority to make decisions. So now I am left with a gift certificate that I cannot use. They were happy to take my poor mothers money but will not let me make a purchase in the one store. If you ask me a bad way to do business. I will never buy anything there, neither will my mother or any of my friends and I am going to keep making sure people know about this. You know the old saying - I tell 10 people and then those 10 people tell 10 people and so on... Awful price to pay for a lousy purse. They advertise a free game night that happens on Thursdays and Sundays from 5pm to close. The store also had a ton of gift store staples like fun stationary and planners, totes and pencil cases with fun prints and quirky slogans, as well as housewares and accessories. They also had a pretty substantial craft section with a lot of knitting supplies. It was a little bit earlier on in the day so there were a lot of employees milling about setting things up. They left us alone for the most part to browse at our leisure but it was nice to see that it would be easy to get help if we had specific questions.

I ordered on a Tuesday, and although she sent them expedited post, she warned me it might take up to the end of the following week to receive them.
