My cousin was visiting the US and wanted the opportunity to get some great fall views. I decided to take her on a little weekday trip out to Bluemont Vineyard after work, and it was the perfect option. The vineyard is only about an hour from DC, so it was super easy to get there and the views were spectacular! Once arriving, we were a little confused on where to go to park or get service, but eventually found it. The vineyard has two levels of seating and both indoor and outdoor areas. We started outside so we could enjoy the incredible fall scenery. The views of the rolling hills were breathtaking and probably the best part of the visit. It was a little chilly though, and the staff was happy to let us move inside without any fuss, which I appreciated. We shared a bottle of the 2024 Viognier called The Goat. It was described on the menu as having a nice floral aroma and a light white peach flavor. It was super light and refreshing and I thoroughly enjoyed each sip. For food, we ordered a margherita flatbread with pepperoni, followed by the crème brûlée cheesecake and the apple caramel pie. Everything hit the spot and paired well with the wine. Ordering is done by scanning a QR code at your table, and once we placed our order, the wine and food came out quickly. Where things slowed down was the follow-up service. Getting water refills or a couple extra plates took more effort than expected, and even after we finished the flatbread, the board sat on the table for quite a while before someone noticed. Also, everything was served with paper plates and plastic utensils, which made the experience feel a little more casual than the setting suggests. Overall, we still had a really enjoyable evening. The views alone make the trip worth it, and the wine and food were good as well. It was peaceful and not crowded at all on a weekday, though I can imagine weekends being much busier. I would love to return again, especially in the fall, just to take in that scenery over another glass of wine.
While visiting Virginia, we stopped by Bluemont Vineyard. The winery is nestled in the hills, which makes for beautiful views. While you ascend the hills, you are surrounded by rows of grapes. Once you reach the top, the building itself is quite large. On the first floor is a store and a patio. One the second floor, is the bar and a huge patio. We sat outside on the second floor and soaked in the area. Food They offer both dining and drink menus. We had plans of eating dinner after, so we only went for drinks. My wife and I split their Signature Wine Tasting Flight. The flight includes 6 wines that they select. It was a mix of three whites and three reds. I enjoyed most of them, but really enjoyed the Field Blend. So much so, that we bought a bottle on the way out. 4/5 Service We went later in the day, so there seemed to be less staff. Rather than staff lake your order outside, the tables have QR codes and you order online and give them the table number. You lose a bit of the human element that way and don't get staff's perspective on what is good. Everyone was friendly and our wines came out very quickly. 4/5 Ambiance The star of the show is the views. It was a perfect day outside, so you get a beautiful view of the surrounding area. The greenery and different colors from the farms paint a great picture. 5/5 We didn't come to the area expecting to find a nice vineyard, but we did. Bluemont is worth checking out. The wine prices were higher than expected, but so is everything.
A few years ago, I went here for my best friend's bachelorette party. We had several flights and had an amazing time. Yesterday, my boyfriend was planning to take me to a vineyard, however the one we originally had in mind was closed. We opted into going to Bluemont and it was just as amazing. Food wise, we did their California flatbread and added pepperoni (since my boyfriend is a meat lovers pizza guy). We also did their red and white wine flights. For the reds, I enjoyed their rose and summit and for the white wines I like their petit. For beverages, they were self served at the counter however for food they had a QR code at the tables where you could place your order online. Food came out fairly quickly. It's a beautiful view of the vineyard since you're seated at the top of a Mountain View. Wonderful concept for a wedding venue too.
Update December 2025: Bluemont Vineyard continues to be a fun place for unique experiences like Christmas cookie wine pairings. The cookie and wine selection were great. All but the gingerbread cookies were made in house. They have a good selection of wines and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The pairing was in their event space called The Stable. It is such a cute space and would obviously be perfect for large events. Their main building is quite a place as well with plenty of seating inside and out. They have a picnic area out front as well. They have a good selection of white and red wines, though I prefer reds. Their Syrah is probably my favorite right now. I definitely plan to comeback again soon. Made a reservation at Bluemont for a double day date! Bluemont was absolutely gorgeous and the wine was good too. There were QR codes at each table for ordering flights, bottles, drinks, and food. I tried the white wine flight and we ordered a bottle to share. Really enjoyed the wine and ambiance, however, if you like a guided tasting, you won't find that here. Keep in mind that this place gets busy, recommend making a reservation!
The view is spectacular! An impromptu decision on a Friday. It was a nice way to end the week. I had guests in town and wanted to take the somewhere different. The property is gorgeous and didn't disappoint. Since they have events, it's not always possible to sit indoors. You have to sit outdoors. I recommend calling ahead of time to verify indoor vs outdoor seating if this is a concern for you. I wasn't too much of a fan that we in had outdoor seating. You order from a QR to order flights, glasses, bottles of wine and small bites/desert. I got a red wine flight. The wine was ok. The red options were fruity, dry and smoky (I'll add a picture of my flight). We were one of the earlier arrivals so everything came out promptly. I hope they have outdoor heaters in the future as the weather gets colder. Overall, I thought it was a nice venue.
Fantastic winery on the way back from hiking! The views here are amazing! There's plenty of seating and tables with umbrellas available, lots of Adirondack chairs on the grass as well. I also loved being able to order food and drinks here, the menu is pretty big compared to some of the other wineries I've been to. Pizza was ok but the charcuterie board and the dip were delicious! Make sure to order the sangria as well, it's soooo goood it's deadly! Order using the QR code on the table. There's takeout containers available for any leftovers as well. We stayed here longer than expected because of how gorgeous it was!
Such a pretty winery. The views are so lovely and the wine is good! I really liked their whites and I usually am more of a red wine type of person, but the whites here were really delicious. The food here was so good too! Their baked brie was so delicious and I liked their pizzas. I would recommend this place. If I lived closer, I would go more often!
Come for the views; stay for the pizza & whites. I split a red flight and white flight with a friend. Their reds were all "meh" but the whites were great. The GOAT was our favorite. I got a margherita pizza with chicken which was fantastic. You can tell that they use all fresh ingredients. There's better wine in the area but the food and views will keep me coming back.
To end our Valentine's weekend, my husband surprised me with a visit to Bluemont Vineyard for their Chocolate Truffle and Wine pairing experience. This was my first visit to the vineyard, and although the weather wasn't cooperating - it luckily didn't take from the beauty of the grounds, and the stunning views. The chocolate and wine pairing experience itself was A LOT of fun. We sampled 4 different chocolates from The Conch chocolatiers; and 5 different wines from the Bluemont Vineyard. The service and level of detail delivered as we sample each wine and chocolate was superb. We learned a lot about the uniqueness of each of the wines we tried, as well as the individual nuances with the process with making each of the wines available. After the experience - we decided to have lunch! The Cast Iron Meatballs were not only an amazing portion size, they were equally as tasty... And the star of the show was the Prosciutto Arugula Flatbread, which we'll definitely be coming back for! Overall, we had a great time at Bluemont and will definitely be back, hopefully when the weather's better; so we can walk around the grounds a little and enjoy their different outdoor spaces.
Nice vineyard with good views and wine, the food is a bit pricey. The Summer Peach wine and the Petite Manseng were both good. The Charcuterie Board fell a bit short. While I enjoyed the warm baguette with apple cream cheese and apple butter - the smoked gouda, gruyere, cured meats, olives, and pickled veggies were largely untouched. I wish there were more softer cheeses, crackers, and butter for the bread. It felt like there were a few things missing from the board. They have good brunch-style flatbreads over the weekend. The woman who served us seemed quite young (maybe a college student?) and didn't have much knowledge on the food or the wines. While the experience was fine, it wasn't spectacular and not quite worth the hype of one of VA's best wineries. I really like the Henway Cider next door and Bear Chase right up the road.

The was fog and we loved the drama it added to the scenery. Our sommelier was knowledgeable and answered ALL our questions. He recommended the spots we could stay at on the property and we would love to return! read more
The Bluemont Vineyard is such a beautiful, beautiful location. Wow! Even the drive up to it, is so scenic, please don't fall asleep when approaching the Bluemont Vineyard, even if your route is a bit longer to arrive here. It is a massive land with tons of grape vines. Right next to the vineyard is the Dirt Farm Brewery, both are owned by the Zurschmeide family. On this trip I only got to visit the vineyard. I was in awe at the beauty of this vineyard. It makes you feel like a drop in the ocean or like you're standing on top of the world. Lucky for us, it was a beautiful fall day, a perfect day to be outside. There were so many people doing the same. There were a few bachelorette parties here also. I got a mulled wine. My wine came in a paper cup for coffee. This was a bit disappointing. Why couldn't I get a proper mug? Everyone who got traditional wine, got theirs in a wine glass. They're obviously not holding back on mugs because of loss prevention. A wine glass breaks much easier than a mug. Anyway, while I did enjoy the mulled wine, I can't say it was my favorite. I've had much better at other places in the area. It was their apple red wine. I would still stop by here again when I'm in the area. The view is truly breathtaking. I wish the presentation of the mulled wine and the quality of the wine was up to par. read more

Our first stop of the weekend. What a gorgeous drive to get to the top of the winery. We recommend placing a reservation. It got very busy from the time they opened. The wine was very good and we had a member of our group get the sangria and it was delicious. We ordered the baguette which was rather small and not very appealing. However other food items that came out looked amazing. The view alone is worth the trip. BEST views from a winery we've ever seen. We could have sat and stayed there all day. read more
First off, the views are impeccable. We sat on the balcony on the second floor and we could get a panoramic view of the vineyards. The baked Brie was super yummy and the wine tasting was great. We ended up buying a bottle of The Donkey rose wine, because we loved it so much (note: I usually don't like rose, but this was an exception). Service was good. The breathtaking views at Bluemont Vineyard are unmatched! I've been to the Reserve in the past, but it was closed this time around. My friends and I made a 5:30 reservation at the Tasting Room up the hill instead and sat outside overlooking the beautiful vineyards during sunset. We ordered the meat lovers flat bread, which was pretty standard. We also shared a bottle of Petit Manseng which had a sweet, fruity flavor. The sangria wine pitcher was by far my favorite thing we ordered. Some of our food was served in to-go containers, which I found a little odd. The service was good to begin with, but about 20 minutes into our meal, our server dropped off the check and told us he was being sent home early. We were told to go to the bar if we needed to order anything else during our stay. We didn't end up ordering anymore wine or food, but we did stay after to take pictures and enjoy the scenery! read more
Absolutely gorgeous setting and breathtaking views. But I'd never attempt to visit in anything but good weather since you have to drive up a small mountain road to reach either tasting room. Both tasting rooms are beautiful but I'd pass on the reserve unless you could bring a bottle from the all ages tasting room there. The wine list is incredibly limited (which I know is because it's the reserve but I've still never seen a winery tasting room be so limited) and the tasting is overpriced even for a reserve flight. The all ages tasting room is seated only - even if all you want is a glass. It's very spacious and comfortable. Service was very slow - we thought we might have been forgotten. But hopefully that was just because they were busy doing good business and not a reflection on the employees themselves. We were happy to sit and chat, but had we been in a hurry this could have been inconvenient. The wines are good but none stand out to me. I appreciate that they had a good variety to choose from. Overall, there are plenty of other places around here that have good wine and good views and are more easily accessible. read more
The layout and view are really nice and what stood out to us the most. The service was solid and the wine was overall nice. It's a self guided tasting so we had to go off the description to get a sense of how they tasted. I personally prefer wineries where they guide you through the tasting, but that isn't a deal breaker. We also tried some of the appetizers. The raspberry cheesecake was pretty good but the roasted broccoli and cauliflower needed work. All in all it's a beautiful winery that should definitely be considered if you are in the area. read more
Great views from a very nice vineyard and tasting house tucked in the hills of Bluemont, VA. We came here this past weekend for a friend's Birthday celebration by way of a party bus/shuttle service and got a friendly reception. The wine was great and the food exceptional. Lots of menu options that pair well with your wine. We tried a number of food items and two flights of six wines each were offered. The Signature flight was $20. Bottles were available for purchase, at a price point between $18-$42 dollars. I found the wines to be on the light side, but they were all good. Even though I'm not a white wine drinker, the Albarino offered was one of the best wines and had a bit more texture among the whites. I'm more of a Red Wine --Cab and Shiraz guy, so I did not find reason to pursue additional wines. I mainly stayed with the Cab for the day. To sum it all up. We had a great time and experience; not to mention the views were amazing....... My recommended food picks were the: * Warmed Brie plate * California Club Flatbread Pizza * Maryland Crab Dip w/ White Baguette * Key Lime Pie My wine picks and standouts in our party were the: * Cabernet Sauvignon Franz * Peach Bellini Sangria (Grape & Peach Wine Blend) * The Donkey (House Red Wine) -- reminded me of "Mad Dog 20/20"....but don't mind me. It served its purpose and plus, I digress. lol In all we enjoyed ourselves and it was a great day trip and escape from city.....only a little over an hour drive from DC! The vineyard is a family owned and run business; and the folks there were so friendly. We were a large group of 18 people and were accommodated extremely well. Our servers were so attentive and helpful in answering questions about their wines. The service was on point too. We'll definitely be back. read more
The views itself were beautiful, however, we also came for the wine and the wine was not good. Ordered the signature flight which consisted of 3 whites, a rose and 2 reds for $16. While I sampled all 6 of them, I did not want a second sip of any of them. The rest of the party that opted for the wine tasting also felt the same way. They also offered an elevated tasting option for $22. The spot is kid and dog friendly and they also serve food. read more
We came here to celebrate a friend's graduation, and it was a magical time. The vineyard is absolutely gorgeous and just so breathtaking from the top. We all did a wine tasting and had lunch. Their whites were definitely my favorite, as their reds could have been better. The food was also good, but not spectacular. My favorite parts were the meatballs and the mac and cheese. I also want to point out that the service by the staff attending us was nothing less than perfect and they made sure everything was as expected. read more
Location was perfect (should've taken more pictures). Plenty of available parking. Several comfortable seating spaces with great views. Great wine selection. Food options were also very good. Not much interaction with staff, but very friendly and professional service. Definitely a family friendly environment that could offer a diverse range of experiences and views. read more
Ok service can be a little tough sometimes - but GLUTEN FREE PIZZA - gluten free baguettes- and tasty wine (the cab franc is delish!!) and the best view I've seen anywhere .... Brewery and farm across the street as well... just a fabulous place to spend the day visiting their various business and topping it off with a drink and a view !! read more

Our friends took us here because they have been here before. Ambiance was fantastic with plenty of seating, great food options, and music. Drinks weren't too bad. We ordered the mixed flight of wines but underwhelming. Out of the 6 wines, we liked 1. I also ordered seasonal sangria and peach slushie. The sangria had too much ice so it was watered down but not bad. The slushie was refreshing in the hot weather but not enough peach or alcohol. Tasted kind of like a snowball drink. The only thing that bothered me about this place was the girl who took my order. I waited over 15 minutes waiting for my cocktails. I finally went up to say something. It turned out she lost my ticket and she couldn't find where I was sitting. I asked for something complementary to make up for what happened and she didn't even bother to ask the manager. Hence my 3 star. read more

Bit of a journey but it was worth it for girls days. Make the right, not the left! Visiting on a Saturday, it was fairly empty as I assume we got there 'early'. Such beautiful views and I love how you're just sitting and overlooking it all. We even went down the hill to the grapes to snap some pics! Ordering was easy, though I suggest not showing up starving. We ordered the artichoke dip that came warm + bread and a charcuterie board. Everything was good but as for napkins/covers because those wasps were on a vengeance after about 15 minutes. We stayed for around 2 hours and thoroughly enjoyed the flights, food, and each other's company. Would visit again! read more

We attended the sunflower dinner at Bluemont Vineyard and we truly enjoy ourselves. The chef and winemaker paired the food and wine together perfect. The service was spot on and the ambiance was beautiful. read more
I will start off with saying I would give the views, the atmosphere, and the location 5 stars. They have several options for seating arrangements when you book online (all are dog-friendly!!). Each seating location has a fair amount of shade, which is great for the sunny days. I enjoyed several food items off the brunch menu, as well as several of the wines. One thing I did not love was the service- poor service. The barcode to scan for the menu was not working, it took close to 20 minutes to print us a menu (a big deal with their is a 2 hour time limit that they WILL enforce). After ordering a flight of wine, the flight was simply dropped at the table and we were told "go online to see which wine is which". After the flight was done, we ordered a bottle of wine- which again was simply dropped off at the table, the waitress could not so much as open it for us. Really disappointed in the service; but the wine and food was delicious so I would consider going back. Also note it seems several wine tours (with buses) visit this winery, so it does get packed fast. Make sure you have a reservation! read more
Beautiful scenery! I really enjoyed this winery. The service was great and the views are amazing. There's so many seating options (with rsvp of course)...we sat at the Overlook Bar area for a great view. I definitely recommend this winery for any occasion (outing with friends or with a date). There were other surrounding wineries and breweries in the area so start early and visit the others as well. read more

This is probably my favorite winery within driving distance from DC. The wine flight I had was great. Both the whites and reds were good. The food here was delicious too. I really enjoyed the flatbread and the baguette with cheese. The views are phenomenal. I loved the seating area where you could look out and enjoy the view while sipping your wine. read more
Another vineyard. More wine. Another amazing spot. We hit up a bunch of these while visiting fam in the area The views are almost unreal. They seem to go on for miles in every direction. The fresh air and breeze made us never want to leave. Enjoying life with terrific people is why you come here. Tasty wines and charcuterie boards. Beautiful vistas at this expansive winery at the top of a mountain. Friendly staff, lots of outdoor seating, heaters on the patio, Cornhole, and... Best of all super dog friendly! Dogs are allowed inside the tasting room! The menu is limited but tasty. We got the cheese flatbread, brie/prosciutto/fig/arugula flatbread, and the meat lovers. I saw the fresh mozzarella flatbread on the way out and would get that next time :). We also ordered the broccoli cheddar soup which was solid. We got a bottle of the farm table red which was perfectly drinkable and paired well with the pizza. The tasting room is beautiful and we will definitely return when the weather is warmer and we can be outside! read more

Fantastic winery with a majestic view of beautiful, rolling hills. I was here in the fall on a Sunday afternoon. There were plenty of people seated throughout the winery. Out server was very polite and pleasant. We ordered the seasonal flight. I absolutely loved the Autumn Apple wine. It had the perfect balance of dry and sweetness. We also had pita, hummus, carrots, whipped feta with olives dip, then we had a cheese with tomato flatbread. read more
Such an amazing location for a relaxing winery experience! We came here for a girls day out and it did not disappoint! Reservations are required and you also are required to provide a credit card to reserve you spot. There are multiple seating areas and your reservation is based on what area you want to sit in. The only negative to this is that if you have never been there before, you aren't entirely clear about what spot you are reserving. However, all of the areas are pretty nice (and covered), if just depends on your preference. We sat on the main balcony area. There is a 2-hour seating limit that is very much enforced. I would suggest bringing a blanket so that you can go sit on the lawn after your time is up. The view is gorgeous! We ordered a few wine flights and a peach wine slushy, along with a cheese plate, spinach dip, and flat bread. Everything was delicious. The employees were super friendly and helpful. There was also a live performance. Overall, I would recommend this spot for a nice day trip outside of the city! read more

Experiencing a winery during COVID-19, times....I coordinated a group of 6 to visit the winery on Sunday, November 8, 2020! The seating time is Max 90 minutes. Bluemont Vineyard is a gorgeous winery! It was a gorgeous day. As soon as i pulled into the winery, I was blown away by the scenic view! Hands down, one of the best views in Northern Virginia. Before, the visit, I booked online. The booking experience was excellent. I booked a table reservation for $30 in October. At the last minute, I had to reschedule, and the staff accommodated my changes for November. The winery is everything you can imagine ! Great vibes and good views. Then, we were seated and that's when I was disappointed. Service was horrible! Either they were understaffed or the young men who were working, were not trained properly. It look at least 20 minutes for someone to take our order. Next, a few folks, came for the froze. Unfortunately, the machine was put away for the season. So, we were not able to order. Next, the wine flights came out and many of then had stains on the glasses! Yuck! Several of them had to be sent back. For food, I had the Buffalo chicken flatbread. It was decent. My favorite wine from the tasting was the Farm Red. After our table was up, I went in the store and brought a bottle of Red wine. The woman inside was excellent! After, my friend and I stayed back and took in the views of the winery. We took pictures and got a table seat on the ledge. We ordered a glass of wine! Again, Our new server was slow and not good. He disappeared and we had to find someone to take our check. Overall, it's a great winery. I can't wait until indoor wine tastings are a thing again. I strongly suggest go on a nice day. read more
Came to check out the 'Crush With Us' experience and then grab food and wine after. The experience was okay and cute. It wasn't my favorite thing but I could definitely see others enjoying it. After this experience, we then made a reservation to grab food and drinks. Immediately got a weird vibe from the staff along with any other worker we came in contact with. They don't seem too friendly to POC so for that reason alone I won't return. Also to note the wine tasted so cheap and we couldn't differentiate the difference between any that we tried in the flight we ordered. To top off the bees are vicious there. Couldn't enjoy the experience because they were in your face every 5 seconds. Wouldn't personally recommend. read more
Bluemont Vineyard is overflowing with rustic charm and serenity! The majestic views, the vineyard that you can roam and take picture perfect pictures and the delicious wine guarantees each guest an extraordinary visit! The views are absolutely beautiful! If you're a beer aficionado, adjacent from the winery is the family owned brewery. Located on the first ridge of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Northern Virginia wine country, this family owned farm winery boasts some of the best wine Northern Virginia has to offer. I urge you to make reservations, which will include a $30 deposit that you can use towards the wine tasting, food, wine, etc. You have the options of sitting on the expansive covered patio, uncovered patio, tasting room, or I even saw people eating on a blanket in the actual vineyard. We arrived to celebrate a birthday and it was above and beyond our expectations. After we checked in, we were seated and scanned the guide on our table to access the menu and flight tasting menu. We ordered some food and did a tasting. Since we were sitting at a table, we guided our way through our own personal tasting. Just follow the menu on your very own phone. The wines were unique and rather refreshing. Our server, Isaiah, was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He assisted us throughout the afternoon. They also have a small general store that sells souvenirs and goodies to take home. The restrooms could've been a bit better, but at least they were clean. Social distancing is enforced, wearing masks are a must, and you don't have to touch a single menu or tasting card, because you can pull it up on your very own cell. This was a rather lengthy ride from where I live, but I would absolutely go back in the future. It was worth every mile traveled and every penny spent. Came here last Saturday early afternoon with friends--good thing we made reservations ahead of time because they were fully booked! They require a $30 deposit which applies to your final bill. As your approach the winery's parking area, the first set of available parking is on an extreme incline hill with a very narrow driving area space, which is too close to the edge--and dangerous, in my opinion. Also, if you choose to park there, you now have to walk uphill to the winery/tasting area which is pretty steep and can be exhausting. (Tip: there is parking up the hill, so park there!) Ambiance wise, it was nice. Seating was all outdoors and you got a decent view of the scenery depending where you were seated. Some tables sat right in the direct sun--but there were limited tables in the shade, which my table requested and were accommodated. Their wines were just okay. My friends and I tried the wine tasting flight (comes with 3 wines and 3 reds) first but we were not too impressed. We ended up getting 3 different wine bottles and all shared. The food was good--Crab dip, Buffalo Chicken Flatbread and Baked Brie were delicious! Seemed like the food was better than the wines. Service was okay. They automatically added 20% tip to the bill (after applying our deposit). read more

We had a reservation at the Reserve. It is an adult only section and had only opened in April 2022. Much more secluded. Less noisy. Parking is on the hill. It's very rocky. If you are wearing heels, get dropped off. Not a far walk, only precarious if wearing heels. Every month they have a theme by varietal or region. And they throw in some of their wines. Because it was July, aka 4th of July and Bastille day, it was american wines and French varieties. Kathleen was our server and extremely pleasant and knowledgeable. She gave us a warm welcome. We chose to sit outside and enjoy the view. The view was incredible!!! We were on a lovely shaded patio but there were also numerous Adirondack chairs in the lawn and a swing. There was a large party of 15, celebrating two birthdays on the porch with us. This was their first large party. They were a little loud once in awhile but it was ok. The upside was that we got to hear a description of the wine first at their table before we heard it at ours. We started with the whites... an Elizabeth Spencer Sauvignon Blanc with hints of apples. Next was a sweeter, very smooth Semillon from Washington State. Lastly the Albariño from Blumont Vineyards. I bought a bottle of the Albariño. A bonus from Kathleen, knowing we love Italian wines, was a rose from Costello di Rossi rose from last month's theme. It was 70% Sangiovese and 30% Sauvignon. So delicious. Crisp. Reds... Contra Costa County Mourvedre and then another red which was a Syrah. Both great but I forgot to take more notes. All the wines were delicious. The tasting was good - cheese and local fruit. The chocolate from Conche were off the charts delicious. OMG- strawberry basil was an explosion of flavor in my mouth! We went to there afterward to get more chocolates ! Next month- everything but Chardonnay! It surpassed my expectation. Highly recommend! read more
Beautiful view, live music, decent food, okay wine and slow but pleasant service. 1. Reservations - necessary, or else you probably won't find a seat or wait for hours. 2. The view: it deserves its separate mention. Beautiful, probably the highest vantage point compared to all wineries and vineyards in DMV. You can see miles away from the top of the mountain. 3. Food: Good. Not an expansive menu, the cheeseboard is good and flatbreads are good too. They are not a specialized restaurant, knowing that, it is rather good. Plus, it is one of few places that even has food, so that is awesome. 4. Wine: okay. I am not gonna lie it is great. We are in Virginia, so we are not gonna get amazing wine anyway, but given the location, it was still not impressive. I have tried 6 different types. We did not sign up ahead, so we had to get them by the glasses not as wine tasting. 5. Service: very pleasant, but very slow. Then again, they have a huge place and waiters have many tables to take care of. 6. Live music: they have live music on select days and time. read more

Bluemont vineyard was a very pleasant visit on a chilly Tuesday afternoon. Situated on a sloped hill, about an hour away from Arlington, VA, Bluemont vineyard boasts one of the prettier views out of vineyards in the Nova area. While the distance leaves something to be desired, they more than make up for it in variety of wine and food options. The staff, welcoming and helpful, are more than happy to answer any questions you might have about the wines or the manufacturing process. Overall a good venue. May need to be in a specific mood to want to venture this far out, but for folks that are closer or don't mind the drive, definitely worth a visit read more

All I can say is breathtaking views! Visited on Saturday afternoon and couldn't be more impressed with the location of this venue. Enjoyed the sangria pitcher, charcuterie board, crab dip and flatbread pizza. Unfortunately, I didn't taste any of the wine so I can't comment on that but I do plan on going back and to enjoy a tasting. Service was friendly and fast from start to finish.
