I'm not sure why this urgent care has such a low star rating. We have used them twice now. One for my son who fell and split his eye brow open and needed stitches. And the stitch job was done phenomenally by the doctor and he is so nice and laid back. And more recently my husband twisted his ankle and thought it was broke and needed an X-ray and yet again phenomenal experience. Front desk was so friendly the entire time. And yet again the doctor was great to work with and was honest with us by not having us spend more Money referring us to ortho for just a sprain. I get that people can be frustrated to get bills after going to urgent care but that's not the urgent cares fault. Go to a pcp if you dont want a large bill and don't go to urgent care unless it's absolutely necessary. My family and I will always go here when it is absolutely necessary. And I am thankful to have such a wonderful place so close to our home. read more

This is my go to spot for quick care. If you have had horrible experiences at all local ERs, like I have, then you should definitely check of Bluegrass Urgent Care! I accidentally cut my hand while making guacamole. I called Bluegrass ahead of time and they were ready and waiting for me when I got there. I was in and out in less than 45 minutes with the 4 stitches that I needed. The staff was so friendly and helpful. I hope to not have a need to go back, but if I do, this is my first choice! read more

The office girls saw how sick my child was and tried to get her back as soon as possible. There were three total patients in the building and we have been here for an hour and a half so far. I understand there is only one doctor but it should never takes this long and it happens every time we have to come here. The clock is still ticking. read more

I don't understand the bad reviews! Go to St Elizabeth urgent care if you want to wait 5 plus hours. I literally drive here 20 mins so I don't wait that long. The most I have every waited here was 15 mins with my 4 year old and that was with 5 people in front of us. The staff is ALWAYS friendly Stacey is so kind and sweet just patient! The doctor knew my son from coming months prior when we came back. I get in and out which is what I want with sick children and myself! I have zero issues and come here all the time and avoid the big name urgent care! This place gets an A+ in my book from a moms view with sick kiddos! read more

I was there for covid19 swab on December 1, 2020. The girl who did it had no badge, so I don't know her name, had no gloves while swabbing me, had no protective gown, not face shield. Her mask was not n95, it was one of those home made ones. She was talking to me while she was swabbing me. Yesterday they called me for the results and told me that I was positive. When I was trying to tell the caller to let the girl who swabbed me know about my results, she hang up on me:) Today, I left the email for their manager to contact me, no response. I called the office of Gov Beshear to report this noncompliance, hoping that someone will talk to these people to change their very poor practice and save some lives. I went in because I was not feeling well and she told me I have pneumonia and I did not want to get tested for covid and Dr. Francine Mosley came back in and yelled at me for Choosing to not get tested . She also handed me my prescriptions, did not give me any explanation on them and slammed the door. She is very inappropriate and unprofessional. Her nurse also recommended that we report her so it seems like she has acted out before . read more

I visited Bluegrass Urgent Care in Independence in need of a Tetanus shot due to an injury. Stacey was the nurse who gave me the shot. Her technique in giving this injection was amazing. She made me feel so comfortable and relaxed I never even knew when she gave it. She was super fast and didn't even leave a bruise. I would recommend her if you need a shot! I went here on 12/9/22 to be seen for a leg wound. I sat for 3 1/2 hours before being seen. There were only 3 people ahead of me. Once I was seen, I was told an hour of that time was because the staff needed to be trained on new lab equipment. I'm not sure, then, why it took 2 1/2 hrs to see only 4 people. I was told my prescriptions were electronically sent to my pharmacy. I checked periodically through the day and they were never pending on the Walgreens app. I called Walgreens to confirm and they stated they had not received them. I called urgent care and they sent them to the wrong drug store!! They said they would send them that night to Walgreens. The next morning, they still hadn't been sent. I called Walgreens to confirm and again, it was not there. I called urgent Claire and they said they had sent it. I told them Walgreens didn't receive it so they said they would call and verbally give them they prescriptions. At 1:30pm, I went to Walgreens and spoke to the pharmacist. They didn't receive a call. He called Walgreens and spoke to them. He asked what number they had faxed and found that they had faxed the WRONG NUMBER. I have no idea who my name, address, phone number, date of birth and prescription information went to. That is a HIPAA issue, should I want to pursue it. This was not the failure of one person but rather the failure of many. I don't know if there is an office manager...if so, they need to be retrained read more

I was so upset with my visit last night to this urgent care. I called to make sure they had a steroid shot on hand because I get severe poison ivy. They were rude and uninformed on the phone by a woman named Mercedes. As I checked in they had a cup of pens that were not sanitized. I handed her the pen after using snd she informed me to put it back in the cup. They only sanitize at night. while I was waiting another woman came in having a very hard time breathing. They should of called 911 or taken her immediately! When I was called in they escorted me to a room that had not been cleaned. The paper on the table had been sat on snd when I asked her about it she told me to not worry about it snd sit in the chair. She was rude about my symptoms and very condescending. The doctor came in without a mask snd made some jokes about my condition. He didn't even look at my rash and prescribed a steroid shot and pills. The nurse came in grabbed my arm really hard and gave me the most painful shot I've ever had. No Bandaid! Sent me on my way. my arm hurt all night! it was gross and no one introduced themselves so I can't even be specific in my complaints. DONT GO THERE!!! These people will straight up lie to you about their wait times. After a frustrating endeavor with the Little Clinic next door not taking walk-ins despite what their websites seemed to say, we went here. They said it would be an hour, we said cool and we waited in the car for 1.5 hours. So we call and check on how much longer it would be. They said there were five people in front of us and if they needed charts made it would be 10 minutes to do so but strongly implied it would be about 50 minutes... 1.5 hours later we're still wondering why the hell we haven't been called to come inside. We've seen cars come and go and then finally. At our whit's end, over 3 hours from when we were told it would be ONE.... they finally called us in because they'd be ready soon. Add about 10 minutes for being inside. The nurse was nice but I got the impression the doctor could not give af. At all. Answer these questions, peek in your ears so fast I'd be amazed if he even had time to focus his vision and that was it. Oh. And while we were sitting there we could overhear the front desk telling people "it'll be about an hour." I apologize for any typos I've been running a fever for 3 straight days and cannot for the life of me care enough to proofread this. read more

The nurses here simply made me feel bad for being sick lol. After explaining my symptoms of what appeared to be tonsillitis the nurse told me that there was no way I had it because I wasn't acting sick enough. Then explained that there wasn't really anything she could give me for the pain since she I wasn't explaining well enough what I had? I went to another doctor the next day and was immediately diagnosed with tonsillitis and give a prescription within 30 minutes. Funny how that works. read more

This may have been the worst doctors office visit I have ever had. I walked in, was not greeted just stared at. When I explained that I was sent from another location for a specific test that they had in stock, the woman argued with me in front of the entire waiting room. I then had her call the other location to confirm and she barely apologized. She then told me I could not use insurance, even though the other location advised that was perfectly acceptable. I called the other location who then had to email instructions to this office. I'm sure they take insurance every day so I am not sure why she didn't want me to use it in this situation. Horrible, Dr. So is nothing more than a professional crook! I seen him for a medication refill. After a 3 hr wait and putting up with his self righteousness, arrogant, superior than attitude; I was told by him to come back on Monday and he will fill my medication. So come Monday I find out he's not even going to be in the office until Wednesday. Another 3 hr wait he walks in the door and attacks me and my health insurance. Asking me irrelevant and personal questions, which had nothing to do with the reason I was there. He tried to make me feel stupid and I was treated like a criminal. Everything out of that man's mouth was a lie. I've never in my life been treated so badly and disrespected by someone that's suppose to be a professional and care about his patients and in which we the patients are who keep him employed. Literally every word out of his mouth was a lie from the first visit. He simply wasted my time and only wanted to make as much money that he could squeeze out by my insurance. The lady who wrote the first review is absolutely right; this place is severely lacking in competent staff and cleanliness. Nurse was nice enough but spoke in a monotone, hum drum attitude (I found out she was suffering through a back injury so I'll let it slide) and kept getting me confused with her previous patient. Wait time was long, and although I did have X-rays that confirmed what I suspected going in (nothing broken!) the doctor just looked at it and gave me a splint which isn't too practical. Anyway, the hygiene was lacking in that their giant bottle of sanitizer was almost a year out of date, the Kleenex box in the window was empty, and, worst of all, the restroom soap was empty! Courteous staff and knowledgeable NP, but the nurse gave me a shot of steroids, and she did it in my lower back!, not the muscle of the hip! i'm still bruised and hurting. was supposed to get an Rx for cough meds and they told me they called it in, but did not. now I have to go back tomorrow and get them to write me a script, which is a pain in the butt, or lower back, whichever you like to call it. I should have said something, but it happened so fast and I was feeling so sick, I just didn't say anything. I think that advocacy for myself would have gone a long way. read more

I was very disappointed. I went there sick soar throat and ear infection. The nurse took CLEAR TAPE and stuck over the thermometer and tried to stick it in my mouth. They didnt have the disposable covers. I waited an hr to see the dr she come in there is NO WAY she was a dr. They were out of strep test so she perscribed be the heaviest antibiotics you can get. I have one kidney i have to watch about taking antibiotics. The name on the perscription was a mans name. I dont think the woman i seen was even an RN it was horrible. read more

Horrible! There was a shift change while we were waiting to have a large incision bandaged up. They "forgot" us in the room. I thought I was being patient by waiting an additional 20-30!minutes but when I stepped out in the hall everything was dark. I had to knock on the reception door and the nurse I spoke with blew the matter off saying they had a shift change. When they finally did send someone in it was two ladies. None of them knew where the bandages were in the cabinet. One was trying to "train" the other but neither knew how to apply the particular type of bandage. On top of that I had to advise they were to use a different bandage as per the nurse. We had to wait yet again for quite awhile while they "confirmed with the nurse" (as if I was making it up.) When they did bandage the wound site it was deplorable. My 3 year old nephew could do a better tape job. It was ridiculous. Extra Long crooked pieces of tape all over the place. I rebandaged it myself when I got home. A total head shaker. Incompetence! read more

Ugh. If I could give 0 stars I would. The nurse was sweet, but that's about it. My son broke his arm and needed x-rays and a splint until he could see a specialist. The splint was a joke. No one there knew how to put it on. When we went to the specialist the next day, he even asked who on earth put the splint on. Top it off, the customer service in the billing dept. was so very rude. I called to pay our bill in full and you would have thought I called to say I wasn't paying at all. Hopefully you never need an urgent care situation, if you do...go to st. E! read more
