    Hotel Room 2nd Floor View

my wife & i stayed at this hotel (weekend of Fri.26.April.2016) we was from out of state due to a sister n law had complications day or two before she delivered her son, her son was delivered and he was healthy but sister n law developed heart problems, so we was called in by family and we used a app to find us a good hotel and this is the one it found us, the front desk staff was very helpful and kind, lobby was clean and spacious, we asked for a quiet area of hotel, the room was around back on second floor, had a great quiet view with porch, room was very clean, spacious and relaxing, this is hotel we for sure will return to.

This is the mattress in the room that my parents were given. Urine? Blood? Coffee? Who can know! Filthy.

9 people overdosed there in the month I stayed. Iron didn't work. Hair dryer didn't work. Electric outlets didn't work.

We chose the Main on Main as our reception venue after touring a few places in Lexington and have…read moreabsolutely no regrets! We chose the MoM for a few reasons: it was close to our ceremony site, provided parking for guests that we could pay for (for a reasonable cost), on-site catering by Dupree, ability to seat our amount of guests, but mainly for the AMAZING skyline view of Lexington as the venue is on the top floor of the Chase building. Mike and I worked with their coordinator Heather, who was wonderful and so helpful throughout the planning process. She is a busy lady, but would always respond back to emails/phone calls whenever she could. We met with her ~5x before the wedding to plan, brainstorm ideas, and review details. She gave a few options for the layout of the reception and how things would "flow" but I deferred to her judgment as I thought she would know what would be the optimal way. For selecting our menu, we had so many options. We decided to do a buffet-style dinner so people could have more choice over their meal. It was honestly so hard to decide on dinner choices because everything sounded delicious. We did a beef tenderloin and chicken meat option, roasted broccolini and smashed potatoes with the sweet potato kale salad- ALL delish. We are still having people tell us how good the food was! The event thanks to Heather and our day-of-coordinator went off without a hitch! I highly recommend the venue as an event space- particularly for wedding receptions!

The view from the top is exhilarating. I am not sure if there are any other places in Lexington which offers a sky view of the city. We had a open bar, and they had pretty decent drinks. The appetizers were good. I didn't have much as I was saving my hunger for the main course. But I heard from my colleagues that the appetizers were equally good as the main course. We were offered 4 main courses and asked to pick one beforehand. 1. Grilled Sirloin with Red Wine Horseradish and Chive Butter, crispy garlic marbled potatoes, seasonal roasted veggies, yeast rolls, mixed green salad 2. Garlic lavender and wine glazed chicken, wild mushroom gnocchi, shaved brussels sprouts, yeast rolls, mixed green salad 3. Bourbon and cider glazed salmon, herb rice pilaf, lemon roasted asparagus, yeast rolls, mixed green salad 4. Vegetarian: Grilled ratatouille napoleon, crispy garlic marbled potatoes, seasonal roasted veggies, yeast rolls, mixed green salad I picked Salmon for myself and Vegetarian for my +1. The salmon was amazing. The herb rice pilaf was yummy. Most of my colleagues from my table had the Grilled Sirloin. It looked good and they said good things about it. The main course was supplemented with some good desserts. This is one of the best places I have been recently and I am surprised how very few people in Lexington have heard about this place. This would be a best place for an OYE (Official Yelp Event) so that more Yelpers can yelp about this place and spread the word.

I typically would not write a review as a guest, but I have to make an exception for the Apiary. My brother and his wife had their ceremony and reception here the weekend before last and it could not have been more perfect. Complimentary valet parking was available for the wedding and very appreciated. There isn't a ton of parking in the area so this is the perfect solution, especially on a rainy day. Valets were ready to go even when we arrived, about 45 minutes before the ceremony. Just remember cash to tip! The Apiary grounds and building are beautiful and well maintained with historical charm. The grounds were worth exploring with beautiful greenery, stone benches, and water features. The hard cover pavilion was the perfect spot for an outdoor wedding with protection from the rainy day. For a wedding of about 60 guests there was more than enough space. Inside, a lovely gathering room and bar area were comfortable for the time before and in between the festivities. The bridal party had a large cellar area to get ready. The bathrooms were conveniently located in between the ceremony site and reception room. The food here was absolutely amazing and truly on par with a meal at a fine dining restaurant. I live in Las Vegas and it was like eating at a fine restaurant here. The service was over the top with perfect timing and professionalism. The whole service team would line up to serve and remove courses at the same time. The attention to detail really added something to the event. Zero proof cocktails were offered to non-drinkers and the two children in attendance were provided special meals. Our meal started with Caesar Salads. It was one of the best Caesar salads I've ever had and a hearty portion. The Parker house rolls were warm and buttery. The Beef meal had delicious slices of tender beef, crispy potatoes, and green beans. The kid's meal was really tasty with both healthy options and foods kids typically love. The venue was on top of accommodating food allergies by asking each guest if they had allergies before the meal. The groom has food allergies and he was able to enjoy a lovely meal that evening. The Apiary sent an already beautiful event over the top. My brother and his wife made a fantastic choice in where to celebrate their big day.

Many times food on buffets is older the later in the day it gets and I feel that unfortunately if you pay for a service in advance the (servers) that they do not work for what they know is already a guarantee their tip. Copper Roux was very helpful to allow me to pay after our meal. They assured me that the food would indeed be fresh due to a new serving time beginning at 1:30. I know that we have all had a buffet service that was more for to feed the multitude and for the ambiance than for the taste of food. Unfortunately this was the case for there Easter Brunch. The food appeared to be left from the first brunch serving. My husband and I did not have any food that was hot or fresh from the buffet. All of the hot food lids were open, there was a choice of 4 pieces of Fried chicken, the corn pudding pan had a square left and was sitting in a pool of water. I saw our server 2 times first when she came to take drink orders, I asked for orange juice and she did not answer so I ordered water, later I saw orange come around the corner for another quest and I said to my husband, hmm they do have OJ. Then at the end of my meal I received an orange juice. Bottom line is they are very communicative getting you set up for a reservation and I am hopeful that on a smaller scale there quality of food and service would be what one would expect for 2 people at $97. I would not recommend or attend a special event brunch at this restaurant based on food and service.
