I had the roast pork and it was really well cooked and had some fantastic crackling on the side too. The staff and owners are really down to earth here and always make you feel as welcome as possible. Country pub dining at a very high standard!

The building is beautiful and the interior is largely untouched but not tacky. This is a real public house! Not a 'Gastro' pub full of ponces. The food isn't going to win any medals but its really good and prepared really well. The curry night on a Thursday is definitely worth going for. Its an ideal place to head to for lunch or with a large group but I prefer to sit on my own, in the corner reading my newspaper and enjoying my pint of Harveys.

Sadly, it was used again yesterday for the same reason and I am very happy to say that my original thoughts about the place has not changed. They were terrific!
