Well one of the positive changes has been the move of the College of the Siskiyou's (COS) thrift shop. The new location is bright, clean and airey. One of the volunteers gave me tour of their new building, (2) dressing rooms,and complete with washer dryer. Now how many thrift shops have that! The ladies were helpful and friendly, the young man working the register was also friendly and helpful. They only keep clothes and items which are in good condition, they bag up and sell in bulk the rest. Small selection of jewelry and other items. Prices were very fair and go to a good cause. No signs saying that the price is for the basket only. When you get to the register, the staff acts weird as if a major problem has occurred. Yesterday, I returned I noticed that the prices very unusual higher than previous days. I was interested in purchasing an item and was taking a final walk around before purchasing the item. All of a sudden, this guy comes up to me and hand signals that they are closing in 3 minutes. Waving three fingers in the air as if I was deaf? Really, it felt awkward and weird . Who does that?!? I left without buying anything. Customer service, regardless if it's a high end store or a local thrift shop is vital. Customers need to feel welcomed and comfortable while shopping! Otherwise, they will not patronize the store. Not sure if I'll will return.
