Paul and his father were quick to accommodate my request. They came out the same week I initially called and Paul was quick to give me two quotes on replacing or restoring my concrete stairs on my front porch. We scheduled a day for work to begin the following week. The day before my job was to begin, Paul contacted me to let me know he had to push my job by a few days. I was excited about the work that he had promised so we rescheduled. He never confirmed the new date so I contacted him, he pushed my job again. Again a day before the reschedule I had not heard from him so I contacted him, he responded that he had some personal issues and that he was not sure when he would get to my job. I told him I understood, apologized for his troubles and asked him to reach out to me with a new date. I never heard back. I reached out one more time and he did not respond. Just wanting to ensure we should move on, my husband contacted him. He told my husband he was not taking on any new jobs and he would not be completing ours. If he had just reached out to me to let know he could not do my job I would have been ok. But I feel like not l wasted time and effort on contacting him. By the way we ended up doing the job ourselves at a third of the cost. I do believe the other reviews on Cyrus. But their customer service is lacking. I would not waste my time.

We went with AGC in part because my husband's former company had used them previously. When we called we expected a wait before they would do the work, but they must have piggybacked us with another job in the area as they completed the new driveway within 2 weeks of our call. Andrew and the crew were quick and efficient. Our sprinkler guy also paid them a compliment, as when he saw the new driveway he expected there would be necessary repairs when they turned on the system, but everything was fine.

Not only did we need a new driveway but we also decided on replacing the sidewalk and adding a back yard patio. Juan, the owner and his entire crew were so friendly and professional and really take pride in their work. October 28,2024 was tear out day and November 1, 2024 was pouring the concrete day. Everything went as scheduled and looks really great and definitely added value and curb appeal to our home. We can't wait to get back out there and fill in the surrounding areas with dirt and grass seed and finally get to use our stored patio furnishings. Overall the porch looks nice but it wasn't worth the hassle we had to put up with to get it done. Very disappointing because we really liked the guys that did the work; they were very friendly and worked quickly and efficiently, and we had hoped to use them for future projects. We understand that stuff happens, concrete is a science, and we were told immediately that the problem would be fixed to our satisfaction. We didn't appreciate having to fight for months to make that actually happen.

I decided to give this young upstart a chance and had Pro-Active perform some very extensive masonry work on my home in June totaling over $10,000. The job was scheduled a few weeks out and once it had begun, his crew worked pretty hard to get it all completed in a few days time. Greg did a great job securing some reclaimed brick which closely matched the existing split face brick on my 2 chimneys which needed rebuilding. Greg was very proud of his extensive knowledge on color matching mortar, however I was NOT impressed with the way the tuck pointing mortar color turned out on my mortar joints. He said it would lighten up and blend in better after it 'weathers' for a few months and if not, he would come back and re-do that work. The last part of the job was to remove and replace two front window sills. The limestone was measured and cut correctly however, after they packed up and left, I noticed one of the sills was not aligned properly and not quite flush with the house. Greg said that was an easy fix and that he would come back and re-set the sill. That was 5 months ago !! Any respectable contractor addresses customer concerns and issues before, during and after the job. Like other reviewers here have experienced, Greg will not respond to phone calls or text messages once he has your money. Such a shame - a simple one hour fix would have certainly changed my opinion. It's too late in the season to do any outside masonry work due to freezing risk and I now have a window sill that can't be sealed (aluminum trim) and will probably leak snow and water throughout the winter. Successful business owners stand behind their work, respond to their clients and take reasonable measures to assure their customers are satisfied. Greg clearly does not subscribe to these business principles as he exhibited none of these characteristics with me. I surmise that Pro-Active Masonry will not succeed - just another 'take the money and run' company. Does anyone know of a reputable mason I can get to come out and fix Greg's shoddy workmanship ??

They were easy to get a hold of, came out when they were supposed to, and as agreed upon, will fix the issue next time they are in the area. No need to book out an entire expensive day for my little job, and he was honest about it. Loved the promptness and honesty - will update when the job is complete and my house is whole again. Will FOR SURE call them as soon as my chimney is ready for repair. Very impressed. Update: took some photos of the work they did - I'm no brick expert but the job looks good to me! They are my new favorite home repair folks.

Ive been trying to get a call back for two months and no matter how many times I call it's the same thing, I'll have someone get back to you, it never happens and frustration is now at a high. 75% of my chimney is 70 years old and looks great but the work they did is beginning to show major signs of wear and tear. Now I understand why they only offer a five-year warranty!! Customer service is horrible and craftsmanship has a lot to be desired. My fault I guess for thinking I hired a reputable company.

Had MANY problems scheduling to complete the work and 3 false-starts. FINALLY the work was completed in the spring of 2025. Well, it's been a little less than one year and today's rains (April 4, 2026) revealed that either the flu cap or the flu cover has failed since it is raining into my firebox, down through the clean-out and into my basement. I paid thousands of dollars to this company. If I have to have another company fix their work then I will be suing for a refund, and, since it is over $2500, it WON'T be in small claims court!!!
