If you aren't a fan of wordy reviews, close the tab now. I can't even begin to describe how I feel about this place as it's one of my absolute favorite places in the world! I feel like I'm in heaven when I'm there and that's precisely why I find myself there more often than I'd like to considering that it isn't cheap at all.
Where do I begin? Let's start with the front desk. Because I've been patronizing Blue Water for several years now, I've seen more receptionists and managers enter and exit than I can remember. But one thing remains constant: they always have smiles on their faces and they're always ready to answer any of my questions no matter how makulit I get. I appreciate that. They also know me by name and make it a point to greet me all the time. The point is: I feel welcome and that makes all the difference in the world.
I've been visiting this spa on a monthly basis since 2006 and while their prices have climbed steeply since then, I suck it up and fork out the cash simply because no one can get rid of the pain in my back like my favorite therapist Hazel can. The only time any other therapist gets their hands on my body is when she's absent or sick and I have no other choice. The Swedish massage and the Foot Reflexology massage are absolutely killer.
From the moment that you step into BW, you know that this ain't no ordinary spa. The place smells like heaven and the decor is very luxe and sophisticated. You are provided with a locker key wherein you can store your belongings inside the locker although you do have the option of taking them with you. I love using the sauna before a body massage.
The Swedish massage involves one and a half hours of sheer bliss -- from your arms to your legs to your belly, neck, head, and of course, the back -- get ready to enter 7th heaven. You have the option to use the common room or get a private room. I recommend the latter. It's worth it and you get your own shower and sink for one room in particular.
For the foot reflexology, it's amazing as well. Did I mention that Blue Water has an in house movie theater? Say what? Yup, you read that right. If you're lucky enough, you get sole access to the theatre and you can select the movie of your choice too.
Really and truly, there's no reason not to visit this place. It's pricier than most other spas, but when you get the chance to check it out, you'll understand why in a heartbeat. I LOVE YOU, BLUE WATER DAY SPA. Thanks for making me and my body so happy. :)
