Traveling to Manila multiple times before, I've always made it a point to enjoy a day at a Korean Spa. Prior to Covid, Wensha Spa use to operate 24/7. I'm glad they survived lockdown, and it seems that they've made improvements with the decorations, lighting, and upgrades to the facility. What I use to do with my traveling group was spend 5 hours of 5 different treatments which would normally include a facial, body massage, foot massage, body scrub, mani/pedi and services includes a complimentary dinner buffet! You can also customize your treatment package. After much debate, I was initially too embarrassed to go all bare, a bit too exposing around my friends. Just give in. When in Rome. Plus everyone is doing it! The korean spa's full-body scrub exfoliation will also leave your skin glowing and incredibly soft. I will warn you that when you receive a body massage, you will get complete body stretching at the end, only to find yourself thrown completely up in the air using all your masseuses body strength! My only disappointment's and surprised that the water in the "Hot Tub" was filled with lukewarm water. Top that off with showers that also had lukewarm water as well. Although you're in a tropical climate country, it's a bit refreshing. some may appreciate it. But for most, you'd like to be in a jacuzzi instead. The funniest moment was that my other half's work colleague recognized him as we were in the dining hall! Such a small world!. Located in Pasay City just off of Roxas Blvd near World Trade Center. My husband and I visited Wensha on a whim, desperately looking for a place to grab a massage (our hotel spa was packed solid and we were unable to grab a taxi to mall of Asia due to atrocious traffic). Anywho, it worked out in our favor as our massage was AMAZING. It's definitely a no frills spot, and if you can remove any preconceived notions of the gritty facade and weathered interior, you'd be pleasantly surprised. What a gem. We opted for the one hour body massage and were both blown away by the depth of it. I don't know what style massage that was, but DAMN it was good. A mix in of some chiropractic for sure. I've paid far too much for other massages half the quality. So having never navigated this type of facility before (and limited Tagalog under our belt), the staff were very helpful and attentive to our needs. I went here with my son and cousins to inquire about the price and how long it will take since I have a flight to catch. I was informed it will take 1 hour for massage, 1 hour for facial and up to us how long it will take us to eat and/or shower. I estimated a total of 3 hours and 15 mins so at 3:20pm I decided to go for it. Facial/massage front desk needs more training on customer service, she also lack professionalism. We waited for a long time for her to call us at dining area per her instruction but she never did. I have to go back to her area, she never acknowledge my presence and continue gossiping about another customer to 2 other male employees. In short, my 3 hour estimate ended up to be a little over 5 hours. First 2 times I've been here were amazing but with this visit sucks. For $150 5 of us had 1 hour massages, 6 hour access to steam room, sauna, and pool area, buffet access all 6 hours, manicures and pedicures. It was Japanese style, so everyone I'd just naked in the pool area. They give you silk robes and slippers to wear while you go from place to place. read more

After seeing why it's more fun in the Philippines. Usually on the night before we fly out, we make it a point that we do not miss coming here to Wensha Spa. Where we can pay someone to use their facilities to eat, relax and have someone turn our bodies into mush. Then go back to our hotel, crash the eff out and fly back to the US in the morning. Roughly around 1500php, they have the wensha #1 special. This is the foot and leg massage and the full body massage combo. You pay up, they give you a locker key and you make your way to the sandals person. After that, you make your way to the locker room. Take a shower, towel yourself dry, go back to the locker room then you're handed a robe. Wear that then make your way to the communal area, where there is a buffet. Snack light if you want. Don't fill up because massage and a full stomach just doesn't go hand in hand. My foot and leg massage was great, they give you a light body massage, but they focus mainly on your foot and leg. I see some people getting their nails did as well, that's probably an option if you choose to wanna do it as well. On another area, the full body massage happens. No sir, it's not what you think. This is and proper full body massage. It feels so darn good, i passed caught myself passing out from time to time. I WAS A KING FOR 2 HOURS! haha That's literally how I felt coming here. I was on vacation and was referred to come here. I ended up getting the 2 hour leg massage + full body massage and it was soooooo good. When you order whatever package you want, what you're supposed to do is get naked (yes butt naked) and cleanse your body in the common pool. Yes it's kind of awkward, but hey you're getting an awesome experience for about 20-30 USD. AM I RIGHT? Haha. After that you put on your very fashionable robes and make your way to the buffet. Yes, your package deal comes with an ALL YOU CAN EAT BUFFET. However, it was an ALRIGHT buffet. It was mostly shabu shau and not that fancy. One thing to have a heads up on is to not grab extra food and not finish it. You will be charged extra. After the buffet we entered a room where they did the foot and leg massages. What was dope about this is that although it is for your feet and legs, they still end up massaging your whole body for an hour. Once that's done we headed upstairs where they start your real full body massage. (SO YOU MEAN THERE'S A PREGAME MASSAGE FOR THE REAL MASSAGE?! Yes you got that right.) We usually go to Wensha almost every month so when I saw the Metrodeal promo I immediately bought 2 vouchers. 1. It says reservation is required so I called all the telephone number provided for a couple of hours for 2 days but to "NO ONE IS RESPONDING" so we decided to just walk in. 2. The voucher says it is available from SUNDAY to Friday so we came in on June 18, 2017 at 1AM (because it is already Sunday) but the receptionist said that the promo is available from 5AM. (This is not indicated in the voucher whatsover and they are open 24/7 so WTF right?) 3. We came back at around 7AM then we were advised to talk to the supervisor so we did. The first thing he asked is "Do we have a reservation?" I politely said "No sir, because no one is answering the phone." So he did accommodate us and allowed us to go in. 4. When I entered the facilities area (sauna,steam,sauna) it was not accessible. The attendant said that it is going to be open at 11AM. 5. We went to the buffet and guess what? Food will be available at 11AM. As it turns out everything will be available at 11AM. During that time they only offer the Shabu-Shabu but I noticed that the balls offered has a funny smell. 6. Aircon and TV are off. Remember we came in at 7AM and EVERYTHING will be available at 11AM so that means we will have to wait for 4HRS in a hot area doing nothing. So I decided to talk to the manager and asked if he can just adjust our time because the Metrodeal offer is only good for 6HRS HE SAID NO with a stupid smug on his face. And he condescendingly said that the facilities has to be shut down for maintenance and it is written on their FB page. (Take not it is not written or posted on their FB page and if he knows that the spa has nothing to offer us at 7AM then he should have told us. Right? 7. I usually visit their FB page to check for some promos or updates so I left his office to check the FB page again to see if there is a reminder about the down time for the facilities but there is no info so I came back to his office and told him that it is not indicated on FB but he just ignored me and walked out of the office. I think that is what professionalism and customer service means to him. 8. Since we only got 2hrs to use the facility and get the massage. We went to the massage receptionist early to schedule a massage. So that we will be lined up. But to my dismay I still have to wait for 20mins at the massage table. I was only able to use the jacuzzi and steam room for 30mins then 1hr massage 20mins waiting time at the massage table so basically I need to hurry and eat for 10mins or else we will pay the overtime pay per hour. The only redeeming factor for me is the massage because the therapist who handled me is very good at her job. The food that I was able to enjoy for 10mins are also good. Like what I said in the first part of this review we usually go to Wensha almost every month but after experiencing all this then June 18 is going be my last visit at Wensha Pasay. Before coming back to the Philippines, you could count the number of times I went to a spa on one hand. Ok, actually, only 1 finger. Did I say 1 finger? I mean a closed fist. Yes, I had never been to a massage parlor or spa in my entire life. However, my brother-in-law knew of a place in Quezon City and took me there. For about US$10, I had a 1-hour massage. It was so good, that I actually fell asleep! I was hooked! Fast forward 2 years later. I had to go to Taiwan for work. I was able to finish a week's worth of projects in 2 and a half days. Score! Company paid trip to the homeland!! I knew the first thing I wanted to do when I got off the plane was go for a massage. I asked my brother-in-law to find a good place since the original place he took me to closed down. Since Yelp wasn't being used in the PI yet, I had to just go with it and hope it was decent. First off, he got a deal of some sort somewhere, so I can't tell you the pricing. Again, I'm a novice when it comes to the spa places, but over there, after paying and checking in, we go to the locker room to change into a robe. Unfortunately, if you're "husky" like me, good luck in getting a decent fitting robe. I looked like a man wearing a woman's robe! Oh well. Anyway, we first hit the showers/pool/sauna area. The sauna was hot (duh!) and everyone seemed to be naked.......except this guy! No nekkidness from me! You can thank me later. The pool? Yep. Lots of towels and robes left at the side of it, too. As for the shower, fine, I did take it off for that. But, the water was freakin' hot and I couldn't adjust it! I guess my skin can just grow back! Oh, but wait. There's a little more. To give you an idea of some cultural differences. There is a HUGE television screen playing..... yes, that's right...... a soap opera. No sports. But, some Gerald Anderson crying action going on! Come on, I like Gerald Anderson and all, but I don't want to watch him before a massage. Maja Salvador maybe. ;) So, on to the massage, it was terrible. Nothing like the first time I went. This girl didn't have a clue and didn't ask me how she was doing and what she could do better. I almost told her to stop, but I didn't want to offend my brother in law. Especially, since he was taking me to KTV later....... if you know what I mean. Lastly, the schtick with this place is that have a buffet after all is said and done. The food was ok, but probably not the best thing to eat after a spa treatment. TLDR: If you like watching soap operas naked with other guys and then like to be squeezed on your body in places you didn't even know could feel pain, then come here now! While I wasn't blown away by anything here, they do offer a pretty good deal. For around Php 800+ you can get a full body massage, hang out at the sauna/jacuzzi, and stuff your face with the buffet--all for a maximum stay of 6 hours. Since I'm vegan, naturally my options in any buffet in the Philippines would be slim to none. And true enough, I was only able to eat a plate of fried tofu. Wensha's buffet is known for their shabu-shabu, but unfortunately their stock is made of pork and they don't have any vegetarian/vegan options. My omnivore companions seem to be pleased with the food, but we all agree that their buffet is quite mediocre. But hell, it is a spa anyway, and not only is it strange to have a buffet in a spa, but what do you expect from one inside a spa? The buffet doesn't have to be great, it just has to be there. Pinoys will never fail to flock to anywhere with flowing food at a cheap price. My 1 hour full body massage was pretty good, but it's not the best that I've had. Though what I did like about it is that it's the type of massage where they really intend to give your body a good stretch and make those bones crack up. As for the overall atmosphere, it's difficult to feel relaxed here because this place is buzzing with people. I might be being mean, but if you think this place is luxurious--well, it's not. It's quite a tacky place, so keep your expectations at bay. However, I do think this is a good place to bring balikbayans to for some affordable R&R and food. I find the whole concept behind Wensha to be utterly ludicrous. I know how packaging a buffet spread with a massage might seem attractive to some people (now that I think about it, Pinoys will go for anything bundled with an eat all you can promo), but I just don't get it. I really can't fathom wanting to gorge one's self with food before and/or after having a massage. Can you? What I find more important with Wensha is the fact that you can stay for a maximum of six hours. It's a problem I have with other massage places that they're able to address. After having a soothing massage, it's nice to just lie there and relax. Normally you'd have to hurry to leave but with Wensha, you're able to stay to your heart's content. You can use the couple of hours you have to sleep, get into the Jacuzzi, or have a steam bath. read more

At the Wensha Spa Center, I was able to enjoy two of my favorite pastimes - eating at a buffet and getting a full body massage. Experiencing both at Wensha was a great way to relieve stress. For a fee of less than Php1,000 each, my husband and I stayed at Wensha for eight hours, the maximum time that guests may enjoy their selected services, the buffet, and the spa's facilities. For maximum comfort and security of guests, Wensha has designated separate saunas, locker rooms, and massage areas for women and men. We just converge at the dining area to feast on the spread of Filipino and Chinese dishes and enjoy a shabu-shabu while watching local shows on the plasma TV. My husband and I would always go for a relaxing full body massage first, sometimes taking a nap afterwards, before meeting at the dining area to enjoy a good meal. Not every dish on the buffet would qualify as mouthwatering but most of them are pleasing to the palate. I've been here many times. Unfortunately the last time I was there only a few days ago I found the quality to be slipping. The toilets were absolutely filthy and did not have any toilet tissue in them, and the food was not what it used to be. I would recommend this place but I would say that it definitely needs a revamp. And the food needs to be improved somewhat. It's not the cheapest place to go so I think they could put some money back into the business and clean and re-tile the shower/spa area as well. read more

This is a place you can have a massage and a hotpot combined in one price package. I bought the package with 2 hours massage around P15,000 (appx. $30). Price varies with amount of massage time, hotpot is the same. I think people might find this foreign so a brief procedure of the process might help to ease a bit: - After pay, they give you a locker key you can wrap on your wrist. - in the locker room, they give you a towel. You need to nake yourself and enter the shower place where there're a large jacuzzi pool, spa and steam room located. - After that, they give you a pair of a short pant and a loose shirt to put on. - You then enter either the foot massage room or full body massage room depending on your package. That is it. The massage is quite relaxing. It is a kind of Swedish massage, a few add on with Chinese pressure points and Thai twisting massage variance. I'll give my massage lady a score of 4 stars. The hotpot is ok. A few kinds of vegetables, fish balls but no meat displayed. Some Chinese cooked dishes and sweets, ice creams, soft drinks. Score of 3 stars is appropriated. read more

Worst customer service I've had since arriving in Manila . The staff does not care about the customers because there's too many people. If you want meat In your shabu-shabu you have to pay the waiters and it should be included in the price. The buffet table had little cockroaches. The massage areas use radio communications and no one could relax because it's turned up so high. The wet sauna area had too many predatory eyes. Worst place to go if you want to relax. Two star for convenience and affordability.... however this place Is the most unsanitary spa I have experienced in my life. I was under the impression that they changed out the sheets for the chair they used as a cover everytime there's a new customer. But they don't, I was watching this guy getting a massage on this massage chair/bed And when he was done, my massage therapist assisted me to that same chair and told me it was ready. Ummm I asked her if she was gonna change out the sheets and she said no they don't do that. I freaked, I told her that guy was on that cover for two hours sweating on it.... so she grabbed a new one and threw it on to appease me. Then They give u slippers to use around the spa place and I notice they don't even spray a disinfectant on these slippers. This place must've not heard of feet fungus which is very contagious.
