Bad experience. I had to pay $860 over my deductible because I did not use the Statefarm…read more"preferred" contract shop. Statefarm would not cover the entire claim even though it was $1,000 less than their preferred shop. I did not use either preferred shop because previous time I used them for a claim where my hood was wrinkled by the bumper of a lifted Jeep. That shop added an unnecessary repair beyond the estimate for straightening the frame. The accident was less than 5 mph and the bumper was not damaged. After the accident and before the repair, I drove that car for a month and had the tires changed and did not even require an alignment. Statefarm paid for that but their chosen shop should not have performed the unnecessary work. We policy holders pay for that through our premiums in the end. I didn't want to use the other shop they suggested because that shop would not even look under my car to do the estimate. Just a 30 second walk around. So I took my car to the place I had great experience. That morning a Statefarm rep called me and tried to dissuade me from using my own shop which we are legally allowed to do. They even tell you on the claim you can, but they down't want you to. Then at the end of the repair, they would not pay my local shop in East Haddam even the amount that their own shop bid. I spent a lot of time on the phone with people who kept repeating that this would not happen if this was their shop. I am very dissapointed. The person from Statefarm just put me on hold for 6 minutes while she found on page 26, line C - No kidding - the line that says that they do not have to honor my deductible if I use my own shop.

She was always polite , responsive and efficient. After having my mortgage (at a really ridiculously amazing rate) I needed to refi in order to get rid of PMI. I went back to Jennen in order to get help w/ my refi. She got back to me quickly and helped me sort out various options w/ my new loan. She e-mails back so quickly and kept me in the loop through the entire process. Nothing was done without checking with me first, and explaining the entire loan to me. We decided to pay an accountant to do our taxes this year since there were many factors to add in…read morethat we haven't had in the past. Prince Scott had good reviews on google, but we did not have a good experience. My husband realized a major issue and we had to revise it. Had my husband not caught it, I don't know what would've happened. He charged us for a service and the documents were missing and said nothing about it. So not only should we have been contacted about the missing documents, we should have been asked if we wanted a refund for the charge or to submit documents to receive the service. He was incredibly hard to get ahold of when there were issues or concerns. We always had to leave multiple messages with his secretary, took over a week to answer emails or didn't answer at all. All of this to say, in the end our taxes were still done incorrectly and we were contacted by the IRS multiple times about fixing it in two different states, just to receive a refund that was way different than what Prince said we would receive anyway. I do not recommend this business and we will continue to file on turbo tax from here on out.
