Considering the emotional week I've had, escaping with some Canadian legends felt like a much needed mental staycation.
I closed my eyes most of the time and just allowed each note sink into my senses.
The crowd looked as though they were Albertans whether intentional or not, therefore, I didn't feel so bad about arriving in my plaid coat. I blended in perfectly in my working class camouflage. The band were very precise and tight in their sound, no room for errors. Jim Cuddy's vocals, which has a natural sense of melody, were in amazing shape.
The sing along during Diamond Mind was a moment that stuck out the most with me.
The song mix was jaw droopingly good.
I came out of the show with the craving of picking up the guitar and covering their songs, they're just that brilliantly written. read more
