We are so happy we found Alex for our bathroom remodel (and more). We recently bought a home and…read morerealized after moving in that the bathroom really needed to be re-done due to poor work by a previous "remodel". We asked Alex to replace the tub, remove the shower surround and tile it, tile the floor, paint the walls and ceiling, install new light over the vanity, new vanity, new exhaust fan, and new toilet along with built in shelves in the bathroom walls. Also, we asked him to repaint all the ceilings in the home, install a new ceiling fan and light fixtures, new kitchen sink, and some other small tasks. He even put together a new metal shed that had approximately 1,000,000 parts for us, a task I know was difficult! If that doesn't sound like enough, Alex encountered some very bad plumbing along the way, and had to redo some floor joists and support structure, and some wall stuff to get it right for the new work. He did an awesome job problem solving, and making it all correct underneath, not just the surface level. He always asked for input when needed on decisions, but also provided his opinion to help us make the right decision. He also solved problems without stressing us out about them unnecessarily. Our small home feels like a new home thanks to his work with his teammate. The bathroom looks amazing and feels spa like, which is a far cry from how it was before Alex. We were very stressed and worried about getting this job done right, and Alex was such a pleasure to have do it for us. He got it done right, it looks great, he communicated well, rolled with changes or additions to the work we requested as we went along, and was done right when he projected. We are so happy with him that we've scheduled him to come back in 2 weeks to do our kitchen backsplash. The new extention looked very nice and matched the old wall so we were happy with the results - until it began to rain. Water began to seep under the wall and within a few months had created a channel under the wall. Water, mud and gravel began to wash into our neighbor's yard. It has gotten worse every time it rains. I contacted the owner of RGA Construction on April 1, 2025 asking if he could look at it and let me know what might be done to remedy the problem. He replied that he would come by on Friday April 4th. He never showed up. He never contacted me. I have asked him four time since then if and when he could come have a look and he has completely ignored me. He has not responded at all. In my last message on May 12, I mentioned that I would prefer to deal directly with him and hoped that he would stand behind his work. Still, no reply at all. I finally wrote up a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. He ignored their questions as well. It is no surprise that RGA currently has just a D+ rating with the Better Business Bureau of Upstate South Carolina. RGA Construction simply does not care about the quality of their work or about customer satisfaction or about their reputation as a responsible business. It is very frustrating trying to deal with a business that just doesn't care.

He thoroughly cleaned out the material which had been placed on the grout to temporarily stop leaks and redid it with a product that bonds with the grout itself. By bath and shower look great. Quality of the work is excellent. I asked him to tdo this job to prepare the house for eventual resale. I knew an inspector would require the work so just got ahead of the game.
