When I came in today and was flicking through the jeans, I was struck my how many good pairs of jeans there were, then I came upon them. A new looking pair of Citizen of Humanity jeans. Hurrah! I know my jeans and they are usually about £100 more expensive then the £7.95 price tag. The helpful lady at the desk told me that they have a new manager in who is making sure that plenty of good name brands will be on display, and that there will be a weekly addition of new clothes. Bagsie the designer jeans!

The shop has a high turnover of stock and there is always new things to discover every time I go in. One criticism for me is that there is a lack of mens clothing. There never seems to be anything useful to anybody under 40. Plenty of work shirts and cord trousers mixed with a lot of short sleeved shirts and Gola polo shirts, but if you are looking for something a bit different you will be disappointed. If you are female, however, you will love this. 3/4 of the shop is womens clothing so in that regard it is like most high-street clothing shops! The prices in here aren't the cheapest in the area but you can find some good bargains, so i would recommend this place to any charity-shop explorers!

Most of the owners are all pleasingly eccentric, and very knowledgeable of their trade. This shop is deceptively large, it keeps going on into other rooms, and spills out onto the road. Because of the size of this shop, they can get plenty of furniture in here. There are dressers, cabinets, huge mirrors, chandeliers. They also seem to do an interesting selection of iron statues, I saw one that was about 7 foot high. I was particularly interested by the frame dried and preserved butterflies - there was about 50 different types in one cabinet. Crustacean lovers, there was also an exceptionally large preserved crab in one frame. Please, no one get this for me for Christmas.

I like the fact that I can go here and buy presents for my mum, dad, brother, sister and grandma without having to venture into the larger shopping town and give money over to big chain stores. Even if I have brought presents elsewhere, I go here to get cards, wrapping and gift bags. Look out for lines by Cath Kidston here, as well as wash bags and bath stuff from ZPM. There are also plenty of gifts for that hardest to buy for demographic, The Man! (they have a great range of cuff links here, which is always a dead cert for A Man present) It is also a great place to pick up children's toys, and I don't mean all those loud ones that take 26 batteries and change into a car. I mean good quality, even educational toys. (Remember those?). Many years ago, when I was going off to be a nanny for 6 boys in California, I stopped off here to pick up some wooden toys for them. When they opened these simple gifts, they honestly spent more time playing with them then the flashy-lights gifts that others had got them. I have also brought my niece an adorable little raincoat decorated with ladybirds and a matching set of boots that I haven't seen anywhere else. I spied a cabinet full of jewellery, candles, cushions, kitchenware, organic jams, chocolates etc. The items on sale here are well chosen. The food comes from places like Daylesford Organic, the kitchenware includes a range from Emma Bridgewater. I love her stuff so much. But it is pricy. My dream would be to have a kitchen with all of her spotty range in. Spotty crockery makes me happy. There were plenty of yummy mummies visiting when I was here. I'm sure this shop gets its full share of tourists. Even though I live in this area, I don't see why I can't shop like a tourist too - why let them have all the fun?

So, apart from the great owners, for a convenience store, it is pretty comprehensive. If you want fancy veg or a cheese with a French name, I would get thee to Tescos', but this is great for booze, sweets and snacks,and all those non fancy essentials. There is also a coffee and sandwich corner in part of the shop. The food is done by the next door cafe, 5 At The Bridge, so its good.

Stock levels are usually good and I tend to find that what has sold out at the bigger store can be found here - and at the same price, not more expensive as some metro stores can be. friendly staff, recently installed self scan checkouts which makes shopping here a lot faster, although sometimes the self scans are not open first thiing in the morning which seems a bit daft to me as they only have one cashier on duty.

I will be perfectly honest - I am a bit spoilt by Superdrug, and I would not get my toiletries here, unless I had unexpectedly fun out of something. There is no fancy shampoo or hair products. The make up section is Rimmel and Maybelline. There are plenty of perfume sets in those big boxes, you know the ones - they are the gifts that you pray your auntie won't get you for Christmas, but inevitably you will receive it. Still, the staff are all very helpful and friendly. There is a very comprehensive pharmacy at the back. There are also parking bays reserved for customers outside. Plus it's one of the Grand Dames of Molesey, with a beautifully Art Deco frontage, so I am not going to be too hard on this place.

The road where The Emporium sits on is known as the antiques road. We have about 6 in one street,…read moreall specialising in slightly different genres. The Emporium is the biggest of all the antiques shops in Bridge Road, and the most comprehensive. While it used to be even larger- it took up 3 floors of this grand building - it still is stuffed with an array of antique goodies. There are around 40 sellers in here, each person has their own stand - and their own style. So vintage watch clocks sit along side pop memorabilia which sit alongside 1950's tea sets. There is plenty of vintage fashion and jewellery in here as well. If you pop in, look for a stand owned by a girl called Kirsty - she has some glorious pieces on display. I spied some beautiful 1940's gloves when I was last here, as well as a couple of parasols from the 1950's.
