Sadly, I've had to change my review. We've been working with IPG over multiple projects, the…read morebiggest one which is right around the corner. IPG had won the contracts for our electrical, roof, and septic for a cabin we're putting on ten acres. It's extremely time sensitive as the foundation is scheduled for July. For final approval of our loan, we need to get final estimates to our bank. This was discussed with Tyler within the last couple of weeks... now he's ghosted us! I have no idea why as he won't return calls, texts, or the note I left at the address given. Now we have to find new contractors and get their estimates to the bank. We are very much at risk for not getting the loan closed in time for the foundation and beginning of the build. Tyler knows that this project has been riddled with roadblocks, primarily due to another bad contractor. Tyler knows about the time constraints. Tyler has even visited a sample cabin with me and the general contractor heading the project. Tyler knows we spent this past winter in our RV and really don't want winter #2 in there. Our septic permit expires in August. Yet, Tyler has ghosted us. He was great, until he wasn't. We NEVER saw this coming. We're hurt, angry, and confused. There is NO excuse in a business relationship for ghosting a client. At a BARE MINIMUM, you place a phone call and make the client aware your unable to do it so they can make other plans. I can't in good conscious recommend IPG. If ghosting is an acceptable practice you run the risk of winding up in the same situation we are in. By the way, he's also ghosted the general contractor who was going to throw even more work Tyler's way. He doesn't have any idea why either. The hunt for new contractors is on and I recommend you avoid IPG. This ghosting has wiped the slate clean of the good work he's done. That good work means nothing if we don't get into this cabin before winter. Instead of helping, he's now hurt us badly for no apparent reason (at least none that i know since HE WON'T RETURN MY CALLS OR MESSAGES. This really sucks.

I have used AmeriWest multiple times over the past 8 years. Replaced power panel, added can lights,…read moreadded ceiling fans, added RV outlet. Resolved an electrical issue in my kitchen. Bathroom floor heater circuit, (not the heater itself, tiling company). The staff is friendly, Jim has followed up personally to check the work afterwards on several of the jobs. This is who I recommend when someone needs an electrician.

Last year, AmeriWest was working on wiring an additional dwelling unit and basement remodel for us…read more During this time, the Electrician (who was an apprentice) and the Project Manager would show up randomly for short periods of time. The Electrician never worked longer on site than an hour or two and then would disappear for the rest of the day. This went on for about a month until they ghosted us. The job wasn't complete and numerous portions of the quoted work hadn't even been started. We had paid a deposit, but nothing more. After not being able to get in touch with Ameriwest (this will be a theme) to get them back out to finish the job, no response to phone calls or emails (later found out they had fired their Project Manager), we hired another electrician to start/finish everything for us. We learned that the Ameriwest Electrician had neglected most of what was listed on the work order. The new Electrician worked quickly and completed the job in one week's time, putting in full days. We paid them and scheduled an inspection. At the inspection, we learned that the Ameriwest Electrician had damaged the structural integrity of our floor joists and a load-bearing wall, drilling too many holes too close together. We failed the first inspection due to this and had to pay our contractor to replace/reinforce the lumber that had been damaged. After fixing, everything passed inspection. Months went by and then we began receiving bills for the full estimate from Ameriwest, as if they had completed the work. We could not reach Jim, the owner, or Ameriwest via phone or email, though emailed billing statements would arrive to us almost weekly. After having had enough, I sent an email reply to Ameriwest's admin email account stating that we would not be paying this bill unless it was adjusted to show the work that was actually completed by Ameriwest and that we needed to receive this by a specific date. We would consider no response to mean that our deposit covered things in full. Billing statements stopped coming...for about 2 months. As the billing emails began coming again in fall of 2024, still listing the full estimate as the total, we ignored them for a while. Then I emailed again stating the work hadn't been completed. The bills stopped until spring/summer of 2025, and then they started again. I called Ameriwest again and had my mind blown when someone actually answered the phone. I was quick to explain the situation and the receptionist was just as quick to pass my call on to Jim. Jim apologized and said that we shouldn't be billed if the work wasn't completed. He wanted to talk to me more and gave me a cellphone number to text him at. I was on a backpacking trip the following week, but texted Jim as soon as I returned. Only to receive, you guessed it, no response. But the bills stopped coming...until today. Today we received another emailed bill for the full cost of the estimate plus a $500 late fee and a threat to put a lien on our house if we didn't pay. I have once again emailed, called, and texted. No response. If you have electrical work that needs doing and you want a business that is professional, HAS customer service, and will complete the work in a timely fashion, RUN away from Ameriwest!

It seems like this company does not know what they are doing at all. We asked them to put the…read morepanels on the west side of the house because there is a large tree of the neighbors on the other side. They said no and put it right under that tree. They installed our solar panels too close to the top of the roof and the fire inspector said it was not up to code, so they had to redo them. They also had to fix the electrical panel and did a horrible job on the installation. My father, who is an electrician, had to fix it. We were told that the number of panels they had installed would cover all our electricity (they spoke with the local power company to see what we have been averaging prior to installation). The panels were on for a few months and had not covered even half of the amount of coverage that we needed for our electricity. We were still paying the same electricity bill price. They put the materials to do the repairs to the roof and to move the panels in our front yard for 2 months before doing the repairs (September and October in Washington State). It killed the lawn, and then they finally came to do the repairs without calling us to tell us when they were coming. (It was the weekend of a holiday, so they were lucky we were even home, or they would have missed us. They never called to tell us they were coming. It was a crew that did not speak English. They went to the wrong house twice on the same morning they were on their way to our house and asked them for money (don't know why since we did not have to pay for anything since it was their fault it was in the wrong place) looking for our house (again the materials are still on our front yard in wide open view). The neighbors called the police because of some weird people trying to get money from them. So, then the copes had to stop them from doing any more on our roof (which was now half town off). The police finally were able to call their bosses to ask them to verify their working here (because they did not speak English well enough to talk to the cops). When they found my house, they again could not communicate with us enough to tell us they needed our cars moved or any other things done that they needed. They only reroofed half of the roof, and they put different roofing materials on that half than the other half of the roof. Then, they moved things in the yard and broke our expensive BBQ and destroyed our flower bed that was beside the house. They also scratched up our siding on our house. My husband had to try to explain to them that they had a huge bubble in the roof, and they needed to fix that before moving onto the rest of the repairs they were doing. Then came to the house the week after it snowed, and the temps were 30 degrees so the roofing materials will not even stick very well because it is so cold. My husband used to build houses, so he tried to explain this, but they did not understand it. They said they were coming back to fix some of the mistakes. We waited all day the next day and they never showed up. In the meantime, our solar panels have now not been working for 2 months, so our $16,000 has just been a waste of money at this point. DO NOT GO WITH SOLGEN FOR SOLAR PANELS. IT IS A WASTE OF YOUR TIME AND MONEY, AND THEY WILL SUCK YOU DRY!!!!!
