At the time of our visit the most expensive burger was $15 and it's what I ordered. The Big Sky Burger. All their patties are fresh, never frozen, and 3/4 lb in weight. Not a typo. 3/4lb! Nice brioche bun. Cooked to order and done just right. Great flavor. Our party had 8 people and everyone ordered something different which gave us a good sample of the menu. Not a single complaint. This place is a neat surprise…read more I am on a 2 Week Solo Rd. trip through North Dakota and Montana, photographing. Everything I do is out of my car. In order to cut down on expenses, such as hotels and meals I sleep in my car and cook my meals, there too. Essentially, I am camping out of my car. Truck stops like Pilot and Flying J are really hard to come by in the rural parts of these states. And let's be honest, most of those states are rural. Would I really need those truck stops for is primarily showers and secondarily hot food. I read somewhere online that this place had showers. I stopped in and met Debbie. I asked about showers and was informed they are $10. Then she escorted me to the building where the showers are located behind the main building. They aren't brand new and fancy like the big truck stops, but they are clean and that's what I cared about. The water was hot with good pressure. And... It was hot for a long time. I don't know if this place is usually busy, but during my visit it was not busy. The café had already closed, but Debbie allowed me to sit at the counter and finish up some traveling paperwork. Debbie was very nice, very accommodating and very friendly. Her family started this business in 1952, so she knows everything there is to know about it and the area. I highly recommend this business.

For the price that we were charged, it wasn't even close to being worth our time and money. We asked for more coffee and never received any. The roast beef was shredded and not carved. We have been coming to this restaurant for the past 26 years. What a Disappointment!! We will never be back and we do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. We sat next to two tables that were swearing about American Prairie. One star is too high of a rating for our experience.
