We took a chance and pulled over at this place because of the blinking sign that said "PIZZA". We were greeted with a smile and kind word. We didn't end up with pizza but walked out with a ginormous club sandwich on sour dough, an order of tater tots and a candle in a glittery tin can (impulse buy). The sandwich was incredible. It was so huge, I could barely tackle half of it on my own. The rest is in our cooler right now, waiting for road hunger to strike again. I wish we could've stayed and chatted with these ladies longer. They were so welcoming and the food was so great. Consider a stop for a sit down meal if you're in the area!

The Hutterites are good Americans, hard working, honest, legal, solid and respectful people. Montana is blessed to have welcomed them into the State. To have witness the way these men were treated is disgusting. I trust the owner of the Clubhouse will fire the cook and waiter on duty that night and make it right with these men. We walked in and no one was there, but Sherry and a gentleman at the bar. They were friendly and place was clean and comfortable. She gave us internet password so we could reach our friend as cell service is poor in the area. In meantime, another baseball family saw our car and stopped. Sherry accommodated all of us as we came and went and was so pleasant and helpful. The food was great! Kids with grilled cheese, mini pizza and multiple Shirley temple requests. Adults had burgers, BLT, adult grilled cheese (with bacon). Side green salad and macaroni salads were great (macaroni salad was indeed especially good with secret sauce and not too heavy). By the time we left, the bar filled in and the conversation between locals and those of us passing through was like one big open room of friendly people learning about each other. We all took a gamble at the Shake a Day and were feeling content with meal and entire experience. The Highwood community clearly is made up of special, hard working, friendly people. Elmos is the kind of place I will plan in to our travels now. We look forward to steak night some time!
