I often come here or order take out for the Blue Nile Combo, very filling and delicious. Service was good but the parking lot can be a nightmare during rush hours. I recommend trying this place out

Sadly I wasn't fond of this place. The food was not very good. I ordered the vegetarian combo and an extra side of shiro. The food lacked flavor in general, potatoes on drier side, and the shiro was not anything special at all. Other areas such as star coffee and abay Ethiopian cuisine have much better food. The lady who helped me was not super friendly either although I don't believe it was her intention so I didn't take it anyway, still it did not add to the experience. I was sitting there waiting to ask for a check after I was done eating, i decided after 5-8 minutes I'd just look at prices on menu and add tax and then add an over 20% tip and leave cash on the table. Knew what I left would more than cover it. As I was walking out of the door the lady yelled from a distance "you didn't pay for your food", shocked as there was a family of 7 eating nearby, and the low level of professionalism as well as and on assumption of wrongdoing, I awkwardly said I left the money on the table and continued walking out where I waited for 5 minutes for an Uber. Beyond the waitress not being attentive while I was eating, and not being the most friendly and accusing me of not paying for the food. The food was below average. Truly my review is based on the food 90%. The food was below average so that's why I put 2 stars instead of 3.

I went into this place ready to try something new and boy it did not disappoint. The food was actually incredible and all the staff was so so sweet !!! I would highly recommend this place even if it doesn't look the fanciest in the world!!!

Awesome food. Really tasty. Really enjoyed hanging at the bar and chatting with them. Recommend choosing one of the combos to get a variety of things to try. Family combo gave us that.

First time to Blue Nile on a Wednesday night. The place is easy to find. Parking lot of front was full. We parked in the next street. Menu is great. We got the Family Dinner for $31.99. it was a little too much for 2 of us but we aren't mad. Everything was amazing. The lady working there was super nice. We can't wait to come back. Ambiance is straight up like going to your friend's house and having dinner "downstairs" very homely. They have a full bar.

We happened to be in the area and were craving Ethiopian food, so we stopped here and fell in love with this place! We ordered a vegetarian combo and green chicken, and they were both delicious. The veg combo was definitely better than the chicken though, it was more flavorful. It was sooo much food, enough that it lasted for a few days as leftovers! If you plan on coming, I'd recommend splitting a combo with a few others. The bread was delicious and fresh and the waitress was so kind! The only negative was the green chicken was a little bland, but we would definitely come back for the veggie dishes :)

Veggie sampler, doro wat (there was wayyy more food this is just my portion).

Its not everyday I run across places with such sour injera, but it just mixes so well with all the juices it soaks up. I would show you my food, but we devoured it too fast. Be ware of parking, its just bad with only 1 or 2 spots out front. Which means your gonna have to walk about 1 to 2 blocks. When you get there you might walk right past it and end uo snooping around the club next door like it did. When you do find it, you feel like Harry Potter did when he found that hidden alley. The exterior decor is set up in a way that shields the customers from the madness on the street. I almost felt like I left seattle for a bit while I was in their domain. No complaints about the veggie combo, but the meat combo only has two types of meat and is otherwise all veggie/lentil. You'll get better value and variety at other spots for the same price. The combo came with a beautiful spread of veggies--cabbage, greens, split peas, lentils, and beets--along with the beef wat I selected as my meat. Everything was packed with flavor, perfectly spiced, and the portion size was just right. The presentation was thoughtful even through delivery, which is not always the case with takeout. One of the best parts? They offer gluten-free injera! That made the whole experience even better. The price itself was very fair for the amount of food you get, but like most delivery apps, the UberEats fees made the total much higher than expected. Still, the quality and flavor made it worth it. I'd love to visit Adey in person to get the full experience and ambiance when I'm here again! Since I was in town for work and too tired to go out, I specifically looked for a Black-owned restaurant that delivered, and I'm so happy I found Adey. Delicious food, great portions, and care put into every detail--I'll definitely order again next time I'm in Seattle!

The service was a little slow, but again, it was busy and there were only two people taking orders and serving. With this in mind, our food came out relatively fast. The bathroom area was also a little neglected during this busy rush with none of the sinks having paper towels, so I had to use napkins at the table to dry my hands while waiting for our food. I got an Ethiopian beer, the Zagol combo, and the lamb yebeg tibs. Everything was flavorful and paired well with the injera. The portions were pretty generous. Our meal came with 3 side injera on top of the injera plating all the veggies and meat. Between two people, we had leftovers, but a lot of it is a the injera used for plating. I wish the zagol combo had one more meat option in it, but the addition of the lamb dish was perfect. Definitely try the lamb yebeg tips because it was my favorite out of all, and we got it spicy. There's also a meat combo option on the menu as well if more meat is wanted. The beer is light and paired well with the bold flavors of these dishes. Overall I would come back again. A lot of tables had tea and I would like to try that next time.

We went on a Saturday around 7pm and were able to get a table quickly. The parking situation is a bit tricky as from our visit, we were only able to find neighborhood streetside parking on a narrow street that made maneuvering difficult. As for the restaurant, it wasn't too busy when we went - maybe about 2 other parties at the time. The restaurant itself felt very cozy and homey, as you could see from the other interior photos. Service is alright - we seated ourselves and called for the auntie who owned the restaurant to get our order in. We got our food in about 10 minutes, pretty fast considering it was basically only people manning the restaurant. We got the vegetable platter with Yegee Tibs in the middle, which came to about $50. This platter is generous in terms of food, with excellent variety, which I love about Ethiopian food. This was more than enough food to fill us up with leftovers for about one more meal. As for the ingredients on the platter, I thought the injera was delicious - yeasty and robust enough to hold any of the entrees. All of the vegetables on the platter were soft, but had good integrity - it wasn't mushy and was seasoned nicely. The Yegee Tibs was scrumptious, nicely seasoned lamb with a savory aftertaste. This, combined with the vegetable sides was divine. Unfortunately, we wanted to order the Quanta Firfir, but they were out when we went - we definitely will pay Meskel another visit to give that dish a try! (4.5 stars)
