The natural pool with creek water has been closed for years. The rocket ship play equipment has returned! I played on it when I was young, it was brown, pain worm away back to a shinny stainless steel and was in ok shape. In 1997 it was removed due to the stupid change in laws and safety concerns. In 2016 after some donations and the rotary club raised some money it was modified, safety equipment added, painted red and in 2018 it was returned to the park! This along with several other unique pieces of play equipment such as a biplane, car, stage coach and boot makes it a fun park for kids. There is plenty of places to sit and eat lunch. I suggest taking your kids to this park for a unique experience with this one of a kind play equipment.

Established in 1918-1919 to reflect how this little town was affected by the loss of so many in WWI, this seems to be the best kind of war memorial. One that gently honours the individuals, and provides a place to think and remember. I don't know how many people really notice the plaques at the bottom of the beautiful trees, and several are missing, but when you think of how just about every little town in Australia has a war memorial of some sort or another, it's sobering. Besides this, it's a beautiful little walk, when the rain's been and the mist's hanging low, toadstool rings pop up under the pines, and it's like walking through a cloud.

From the parking lot to the falls is about a 20 minute steep walk with 200 steps. The falls plunge 328 feet to the valley floor. They are beautiful and so is the hike. There are alternative paths back to enjoy different views. Take the Wentworth Falls trail and Weeping Rock trail, the Undercliff trail, or historic Princes Rock lookout track. You can truly spend days in this area and not see it all.
