The soup was my favorite crab soup out of the 3 I tried around 30a. We got the shrimp carbonara and shrimp and grits for our entrees. The carbonara portion was huge. Definitely enough to split with someone and still have leftovers. We were pretty stuffed and nothing piqued our interest so we passed on dessert. The server was nice and attentive. Appetizers came out pretty quick. The complimentary bread was good. Our only criticism was that the shrimp came with the tails on so we can get our hands dirty with sauce to remove the tails off. Not going to deduct points for it as it seems like everywhere in 30a serves shrimp with tails but my southern husband was disappointed by it at a nice restaurant. We will definitely be back on future trips to 30a. I feel like it was the one restaurant we went to during our trip where we could have a nice conversation without having a hard time hearing each other across the table.

I got the lobster in paradise and the arugula salad and both were delicious! My husband got the filet and asparagus and while it was prepared safely, it was his least favorite steak of the trip. Our waitress was great and very friendly! However, when we got to the hostess stand and gave them our name, the employees at the stand seemed to be bickering a bit and we weren't sure if it was related to my husbands allergies/where to seat us or something else, but it made us a little nervous. The happy hour deals are amazing and people line up at the door at open for the $6 martini special (bar only - but you can get up and walk over there). We did get to participate in the bogo half off entree deal which was nice. Overall, I would return but the first impression with the hosts just worried us a bit.

You can taste that everything is seasonal and thought-out, not just "pretty food." Watching the team plate each dish right in front of us was half the fun; they move fast, but nothing feels rushed, and the pacing of the meal was spot-on. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made the whole night feel special, even bringing out a custom birthday cake that tasted as good as it looked. This is one of those meals you keep thinking about afterward. If you're anywhere near 30A and want a real dining experience, not just another beach restaurant, book Roux 30A.

The food was varied and delicious with a well thought out and planned menu. The menu changes every night to match available local ingredients but some highlights we had were a crispy duck ravioli, a scallop dish, and a steak dish. The tasting menu was $155 per person and was worth every penny. We chose one of their wine pairings that delivered five wines for each savory course. The wines ranged from French to Spanish to US (both California and Washington). They offer three different price points for the flights, $65, $95, and $115 per person. The location is a bit confusing at first with the building tucked back in an area past a building supply store. The staff welcomed us as soon as we arrived and sat us immediately. We arrived about 10 minutes before 7pm and were the first there but the staff talked with us as they prepped and we started dinner about 715pm after the other three parties booked arrived. The ambiance is amazing, with the chefs counter being the place to be in my opinion. Overall this will be an unforgettable experience. Yes this is expensive, but is worth the cost as this is not simple meal out. This is a hidden gem of 30A community. Additionally we've used their private chef while staying nearby and that also is an unforgettable experience. Having someone come in and cook and serve, and then clean up, a meal of such a high caliber in your home is a perfect treat for a vacation or special occasion along 30A

Chef Franco and Nicki came to our vacation rental last night and cooked dinner for 15 of us. They made everything perfect. From menu selection to the day of the party, it was all easy and perfect. Chef Franco showed up on time and brought everything he could possibly need. We picked out a gulf shrimp appetizer, followed by crab cakes. When I tell you these were the best crab cakes I have ever eaten.... I am craving them right now !!! We also had sautéed crab claws, which were plentiful and delicious. At that point, we were all full, but went on to have a Caesar salad, which again was perfection. Throughout this whole eating frenzy, we delighted in watching chef cook every part of the meal. He is not only a phenomenal chef, but so knowledgeable about the area and other parts of Florida. It made for a great dinner conversation. The main course consisted of filet mignon, and a grilled lobster tail. Accompaniments included green beans, and a homemade Mac and cheese. Just watching him make the mac & cheese, the entire room was salivating. Every aspect of the meal was beyond delicious. The meat was cooked to perfection to everyone's personal liking. Finally, we barely had enough room for dessert, but managed to get it down. Dessert was a bourbon bread pudding with vanilla ice cream. Again, this was exquisite. I am a bread, pudding, fan, and some may even say, an aficionado, and I can say this was among the best !!! Chef and Nina then proceeded to clean up the kitchen and package up all of our leftovers into the refrigerator. They left the kitchen cleaner then we found it when we got the house. Every aspect of this evening was fantastic !!!

You will not be disappointed!!
