The other day I was there washing clothes and there was a lady there and she was loading up the 8x washer and I watched her put coins in then she started loading more clothes and the timer went out and she asked me to call the owner so I did and he actually answered and talked with her and figured out what happen and he was there in less than 10 minutes and gave her all her coins back and showed her how to properly use the machine. He definitely went above and beyond. He's so friendly and there's a lady who maintains it during the afternoon and she's always helpful and she keeps the machines and lent traps super clean. I've seen her help people get their coins back as well. All in all it's a great friendly clean place to do your laundry. My clothes always come out so clean and the dryers are fantastic as well. read more

Terrible customer service, from looking at these reviews and my personal experience the owner lowkey looks for opportunities to scold customers. I've now been accosted twice, once because I was 10 minutes late picking up my laundry (as he scolded me as pointed to the sign not to leave laundry unattended WHILE there were 34 other free dryers for customers to use). Additionally today after accosting me for the second time he was very eager to touch my underwear as I was moving my laundry to the dryer. He also stayed in my area while I was moving my laundry seemingly to make me uncomfortable. WEIRD establishment. Will not be returning. Highly do not recommend dealing with this laundromat. read more

Nope. Go somewhere else, this place is not worth the trouble! I've never been treated so rudely & disrespectfully as a customer anywhere in my entire life. Owner is either showing some signs of dementia, maybe some sundown syndrome, or else is just a cantankerous jerk that has no business running a public facing business. And he'll probably reply with some sort of lying, gaslighting response, just like he has with all the other reviews that mention the truth about how absolutely rude he was cuz, but trust me when I say, you should believe all the reviews that say he's rude & disrespectful. I saw the reviews before going & tried to give him the reasonable benefit of a doubt but no, they were 100% right. read more

While the prices are very reasonable, the customer service is not. Even though they post the hours as 6am-9:30pm, they will close whenever they want, regardless of if there are still clothes in a machine. I call the owner to ask him is he was on the premises, who then proceeds to lecture me about how it's "not my personal laundromat". He instructs me to come back tomorrow when they open, which I did, no one there to help and my laundry was locked up in a back room, forcing me to come back later in the day to get it back. The owners behavior is weird, he is rude to his customers, doesn't seem to care about people's personal belongings, and creeps on the security cameras and talks through them to customers. I don't know if it's a control thing or he has some unresolved childhood trauma, but there are better places to get your laundry done. read more

Horrible experience I cashed out $60. I was noticing that machines were taking more than what they were supposed to. It smelled really bad like urine. I had to clean the counters. The owner was having a discussion with one of seem to be a customer that has been at this location before because machines weren't washing properly. Owner was screaming at Customer... I had no interaction with the owner at all I just happened to hear all of this as I was washing read more

I have always had a great experience at Blue Moon Coin Laundry. Machines work great and the owner is very kind and wonderful to have a conversation with while waiting on my laundry. I have been going here on and off for years (my own washer does not always work well). Thank you for being there when I need you and for your fabulous customer service! read more

Clean and well managed. Machines work well with reasonable prices and a pleasant clientele

I put my clothes + towels into the "6x" machine + it ran me $6.50 to wash. It was wayyy cheaper to dry though... prob less than $2 PROS: + Owner RUSS is an unbelievably kind 74 year old dude from Maine, who showed up within 5 mins time to refund my $$ in person when my dryer machine malfunctioned. + There's a parking lot out back w/ about 8 spots which I found to be very convenient. + They have a soda machine where you can purchase a drink for a buck CONS: * The machines super old school; (they take 25c). * This place is in a borderline sketchy area bc it's not far from the trolley station. Bc of that I really wouldn't recommend leaving my clothes unsupervised. read more

Blue Moon Coin Laundry - Prices - Laundromat Near Me - San Diego, California

Fairly expensive to wash (based on machine size) but only $.25/8 min to dry. They take payment from an app that made it super convent. I felt safe there during the day as well, and everything was clean. read more

First time using a laundromat and one of the machines ate my quarters. I called Russ and in less then 10 min he was there and fixed the machine and did my load for free. He has lived such a full life and I really enjoyed my conversation with him. Highly recommend this place! read more

I have my go to laundry places but due to traffic I wanted something closer to home. It is a small place but it gets the job done. I haven't done laundry in 3 weeks and used to my big machines using laundry cards. This place is old school. They have change machines for quarters and their 8 load machine was $10 and drying cost be about $5. A quarter got you about 8 min. I couldn't really tell since the screens on the dryer was broken. My clothes were washed, it did a good job and when in a pinch I would come back. It's a bit rustic and takes you to the roots of traditional laundry places. Bathroom is locked, it has a sink to rinse, small counters to fold, snack machine and detergent machine. No bells or whistles. Just a old and reliable laundry mat located across USD. Pro tip is that there's parking in the rear and 2 reserved spots in front . They do offer free WiFi so that's a plus read more

Came into the laundromat to get quarters and before I could even bring my goddamn laundry into the store, some old guy is yelling at me about how there's a "coin shortage" and accusing me of not reading his sign... yikes. How about update your machines if you have such an issue with people needing to convert cash to coins? Is this 1950? Won't ever be doing my laundry here read more

Staying at Atwood Hotel in Hotel circle(great) and someone mentioned this laundromat. Nearby, Coin machines, ATM cards accepted, plenty of large washers/dryers. Wish there was a bathroom but I can understand hassle for non customers wanting to use. read more

This review is for the wash n fold service. It's $1.40/lb with a 10 lb minimum. My laundry was completed very quickly (same day within a couple hours) and efficiently. My only con is I wish the packaging were a bit more sustainable... it was all plastic in multiple bags. I understand cost is a factor but I would hope all businesses would start looking to move to greener alternatives where possible. read more

Found this place while on vacation, came inside to make sure they had a change machine prior to bringing my clothes. The owner accused us of being regular thieves here and claimed that she recognized us and we come here all the time with bad intentions, when we are literally from out of town and have never stepped foot in this building before. Psycho lady. What a horrible and rude woman, rudely accused a new customer of being someone else. Way to lose business form tourist who are just looking to wash our clothes since our Airbnb has no laundry. 1 star service for psycho rude owner. read more

Great place to do your laundry. All kind of washers sizes for any needs. Very Very clean place. TV and WiFi. Plenty of parking at front and rear. 5 STARS read more

We'll, much to say about this laundry, and I don't have time to go into it. Oh do not use them if you want clean clothes, exceptional service and don't want to be pestered from a host of different homeless folks hell, one time some homeless person put shit (no doubt dog shit )in the back of one of the dryers(verified true story) Well I'm sure you know how that unfolded.(no pun intended). Guess you can't hold the owner responsible for what some of the patrons do, but Damn! I guess pretty much everything is location location location! read more

Tried to get change to do laundry and was accused by the lady of being a thief who has been there multiple times, claiming she recognizes me from before. I'm from out of town and have never been in this establishment before today. Horrible customer service and potential racial profiling, extremely rude employee with an unprovoked accusation to a regular customer who did absolutely nothing wrong. She shooed us away from her business for absolutely no reason. read more

I only went to Blue Moon Coin Laundry to wash a couple loads. The set up of the place is strange because the washers are not lined up straight. There is only a handful of one loader washers. The big washers are huge and not very pricey. The dryers work so well with only 3-5 quarters used. If I can give 3.5 stars for the dryers, I would. Warning: there isn't any employees to be found on the premises. Also if you forget your soap and you buy the little boxes of soap on the wall, careful because they get stuck. read more

It's always a pain in the rump when your appliances break down. With our dryer out of commission, we needed to find a laundromat (are they still called that?) that was close by and clean. Blue Moon was the winner. We ended up coming here a few times over several weeks, as it took a lot longer to get our laundry situation at home taken care of. I like Blue Moon because parking is easy (I promise, it is. Even if it looks like all the parking up front is taken, there's an alley behind the building with a large lot and easy access to the facilities), the machines are newer and easy to use, and they offer free WiFi. There's always someone on hand to help out should you have questions about how to make the machines "go", or if you need any other assistance. They apparently also offer launder services if you don't mind having a complete stranger wash and fold your chonies. There's a TV on one wall (you don't get any say over what's being shown, though) and a few tables dedicated to the folding of clean clothes only. There's a computer table along the front of the building, with access to a couple of outlets, and of course the aforementioned free WiFi. All in all, not a terrible place to spend a couple of hours, when your own washer and dryer give you the finger. read more

I was going to take my laundry to the fluff & fold by my house before leaving on our trip but the attendant wasn't there. After checking into our hotel I searched for a laundromat close by & found this one. The couple there (probably the owners) were awesome & said they would even deliver the laundry to our hotel the next morning at no additional charge. Thank you so much for your help & great job. I will use your services next time I'm down in San Diego read more

Blue Moon Coin Laundry - Great job done by this fluff and fold laundromat in San Diego. They even delivered at no additional charge. - Laundromat Near Me - San Diego, California

Absolutely worst laundry mat I've ever been to. owner was extremely rude. Will not be coming back. If you're thinking about going here, I'd highly recommend looking up another laundry mat in the area. read more

I never come to a laundromat and now I know why! I had to use the restroom and it said to contact the attendant so I did! She said that she was already off the clock and that I was very lucky that she was even going to open the restroom at all! Then she proceeded to talk to me for another three minutes about how lucky I was! When she finally open the door I explain to her that it wasn't my problem that she was off the clock! She then yelled at me saying next time she won't open it! Well next time I won't be coming here LOL read more

Russell and Mary operate a first-class place to do your laundry. The only issue is the homeless and low-lifes that invade Blue Moon because of its proximity to the trolley. I guarantee that most of the unfavorable reviews come from the " sh...y " people who seem to wander in every day to try to use the bathroom that Russell keeps very clean. Thank you Blue Moon coin laundry. read more

I forget her name but the blonde lady working here was very friendly! There's more parking in the back if the front spaces are full. Whatever you do, don't use the coin machines if you're not doing laundry here, you'll feel the laundry workers rage. read more

Well I came in as soon as I parked the attendant is giving me the evil eye. Some old guy, who then came out to turn off the open sign, mind you is barely 7:55pm and they close at 10:00pm... so I checked out the machines but I walked out so he came out to give me another look as I got back in my car. Local laundry place. I come here whenever I need to use the commercial size washer. I feel this place is very professional as workers here are very attentive and keep the place clean. Just follow the rules and there should not be a problem. read more

Can you say customer service? These people are so friendly ! I usually don't use a laundry matt. I took my kitchen rug there and was met by a very kind woman who explained to me what machines I should use and why. So instead of feeling stupid staring at a machine trying to figure out how they work - I was in and out in no time. So today I had to take my down comforter and a big blanket in. I called and spoke with Russ, AGAIN he was so polite. Sadly in this day and age it still surprises me when I get such good service. Russ told me the fluff and fold open at 900 AM and to bring in my items then. I went in at 10 and was met by a nice person who took care of my stuff - took my number and said she'd call when they were done. She did a great job. This place is clean and neat and the employees are kind. A+ read more

I had a terrible experience here. I had a lot of laundry to wash; had to use their 6 load washer. I had so many clothes, I couldn't fit all my clothes into 1 cart. So I left a small load in the washer while I quickly transferred the clothes I could carry into the dryers; I was going to go back to get the remaining load. I returned to get the last of my load in less than 2 minutes, then I am approached by the staff and was told that the owner was giving me a warning that if I don't get my wet clothes out of the washer within 20 min, they're going to take my clothes out and ask me to leave. I will add, the staff and owners were dealing with a homeless person camping in their bathroom before they approached me. I don't know if their aggression from the homeless incident was accidentally transfered to me, but their hostility definitely was off putting. I bet the staff and owners are nice people, but please don't take out your anger on your customers! read more

BLUE MOON Fluff & Fold is an extraordinary "find" for us. For quite some time we have frequented a fluff & fold service on Washington Street which was abominably unclean and seemed to lack any sort of management. Once we tried BLUE MOON, that Washington Street fluff & fold outfit was placed "in our rear-view mirror," as it were. Of particular note about BLUE MOON is the result of their fluff & fold service. Our laundry came back impeccably clean and marvellously neat & well folded. We recommend BLUE MOON Fluff & Fold Service without reservation, and hope that they continue to maintain the high standard of service and hygiene of premises. Thank you Russ & Mary for managing, what we believe is, the "gold standard" in fluff & fold service, read more

I was last there several weeks. I'd used this facility, for months, without incident. The last time I was there I was drying laundry I'd washed at home. It was after 8:30 pm and I only had a load to dry. As my load finished drying, I saw Mary look at me as I was removing my items. Russ then told me that he'd appreciate it if I didn't put "my dirty clothes" in his dryer. Apparently, if I didn't wash my items there, they were dirty. The location was convenient and the price was a bit more than others. I'll deal with the inconvenience and take my business elsewhere. read more

Aight. I change my mind. Went back today for another round of laundry (thought it would be the last time). I came in and there was only one other person there, so it was pretty quiet to get some work done. I loaded my clothes in the same machine I always use and went to get lunch. Came back and the machine errored out and my clothes were soggy and soapy. The owner has his number posted to call or text on the wall. I shot him a message and he was there within 5 minutes. I put my clothes in another machine and he paid for the wash. We struck up a good conversation while he troubleshot the machine. When it came time to dry, he paid for my load. I'm so glad the owner doesn't just collect and neglect. He actually cares about the customers that come to this place. Thanks for changing my opinion for the better. read more

This place is absolutely terrible. Water turned down so much clothes come out dry and dirty still. Owner says these new machines. This laundromat is clean, their machines are well taken care of, and he owners Russ and Mary are very sweet. What stops me giving them a 5 star is their choice to have Fox news on blast. My time at the laundromat today I felt anxious, frustrated and angry due to the coverage on Fox News. Being at a laundromat is stressful enough without having to endure political talk.
