The food was just beyond amazing - between the horderves, main plates, and cheese plates, this was a hands down splendid party food (ask for the steak cuts and crab soup)... 2. We expected about 100 people, had a live band, and also did a canned food drive for a local food bank. Without a doubt this was the best party that we have ever had and most importantly it was the first time that I was really able to enjoy my party. Bette and her team were there on time to set up and even assisted with bringing out some additional dishes that I had. The food was amazing. My guests were raving about how good everything was. The French fry bar added a nice touch. The only drawback was the torrential rain that started and even that was handled professionally. None of the food was ruined. All the leftovers were brought inside so the guests could continue to nibble and they did a great job of cleaning up outside. I would totally recommend Moose and Goose for any outdoor event. Best. BBQ. Ever! I've worked with other catering companies and they were by far the easiest and most accommodating people to work with.

We were excited because we LOVE Maggio's food. However, we had "Moose & Goose" delivered and were NOT thrilled with it. We ordered pulled pork sandwiches, macaroni and cheese, and loaded tater tots. My husband and I both did not enjoy the pulled pork sandwiches. We thought they tasted a little too dry. I also did NOT like the macaroni and cheese. It had some sort of spice on top of it (perhaps Old Bay seasoning??) that was NOT mentioned in the description of the macaroni and cheese. So I actually threw it right in the trash. My husband liked the tater tots.

They were both visibly angered, raised their voices at us and presented us with the most wretched attitudes and disrespect when it was a matter of moving a couple of tables that THEY added in error that our family were already assisting with. To add insult to injury, the white linens and seat cushions were oh so obviously stained and looked horrific - and the bridal suite had a broken AC on a 95 degree summer day, and was littered with filth, dirty cups, and completely unorganized from what i can only guess was a past event. The staff themselves were very pleasant and accommodating, but the owners need a huge attitude fix and a lesson or two in hospitality and anger management.

But, ordering a sandwich and taking possession of it quicky changed those first impressions. My chicken salad on rye toast was delivered to my table by the deli chef. It was bigger than expected, and first bite opened my eyes in pleasant surprise. The chicken salad was chunky, creamy and had very fresh taste. Combined with a thick red tomato slice and dark green lettuce, inside real rye toast, it was very good and enjoyable. It was almost too much to finish. Apparently, they do breakfast sandwiches just as good. See you again soon, Hometown Deli.
