We stopped to use the Pet Wash which is stated as "Paws down the best in town and now open." We came on a Sunday around noon and the door was locked. The hours state "open daily 6am - 10pm." Very disappointed. read more

I like this car wash and frequent it often. First, since I drive a van with a solar panel on top, I'm glad to have a facility I can actually squeeze in to! The equipment has always been in good working order. The chemicals make my car look great! Talk about a nice gloss. I tend to use the hand wand rather than going through the automatic wash. I get better results, particularly if there is any winter road grime. As far as price goes, that's the only reason I'm going to deduct a star. If money is tight, there is a dollar car wash facility nearby! By the same token, it's helpful that Blue Lagoon will let me slip my debit/credit card in and run a tab while washing. read more

Talk about a dumpy car wash. No heated bays, no heated water and everything is covered in ice. No rubber nozzles on the end of the spray guns either so pay extra attention for those. I barely got my car wet and I couldn't wait to hit the stop button. 100% will never be back here and do not recommend not to anyone else. Worst car wash in town. read more

This car wash is not at all what i expected! I used the car wash bay and it was trashed not to mention the pet wash is a JOKE! I recommend driving the extra miles and going to the one across town! read more

This is the third year we have rented from them to store my daughters dorm room stuff. We have never had any issues and the owners and staff are super! The facility in Hiawatha is really nice and has a security gate around it. Very well kept up. If we needed them again, there would be no hesitation. read more

This was the worst place to rent a storage unit from. Within a first week it was broken into and when I asked about the "cameras" they said they don't even work and it was my fault I didn't use a better lock. They did absolutely nothing as far as helping me out, maybe offering a new lock or monitoring the storage unit more than once a year you would figure out shady stuff was going down. I would advise you never rent from them as they are shady and don't care about their customers. read more

Long story short, while in town visiting (I live in Wisconsin now) family in January 2011, I serviced the touchless car wash at Blue Lagoon Car wash while driving my brand new 2011 Acadia. For reasons that are still not understood, the car wash malfunctioned and the washing mechanism banged and scraped up both back and front passenger doors, leaving rubber and scratches in the brand paint. The manager had to reset the car wash and tried to get the rubber off the doors, during which time we saw scratches in the paint (car was wet and it was extremely cold outside). The owner, George May came out to my car and told me he would pay for the damages, he said it would cost $200 to $300. I have NO experience with the cost of repairs to cars--I have never incurred damages to my car(s) in the past. I was given all the information needed to contact his manager Jon Roder with information as George was expected to be out of town. Before leaving Iowa the next day, my dad, who happens to own a truck auto body repair business in Marion, went out to my car to buff out the left over rubber that was left on the car doors--we were not able to get it all off at the car wash, immediately pointed out dents in both doors, all of them at the sites of the rubber and scratches, just very difficult to see without a trained eye. I immediately attempted to contact Jon Roder, but without success, and instead left a message regarding the above findings. Once home, I made several attempts to talk with Jon R., again unsuccessfully. I did talk to Terry, office staff to Blue Lagoon, who told me to email Jon. From there on, I emailed Jon on a daily basis of what was going on, pictures, and eventually, the estimate of damages ($1072.68). Jon NEVER replied to any phone messages or emails. Instead, a week after no correspondence, I sent an email asking for status update. I received a short email that evening from George May saying that he would pay the $200 to $300, that the car wash did not cause any damage and that they had already gone above and beyond what they should have. During all my above attempts to discuss the damages, I have encouraged Jon R. and George M. to call my dad and the auto body technician to discuss the correlation of the damages. So, not only does he refuse to talk to me about the above, he refuses to talk to the professionals who can provide all the proof FACTS about the damages to my car, he now refuses to admit that the car wash caused ANY damages to my car--keep in mind that I have date and time stamped pictures of my car at the car wash, text messages sent to my husband during the time of the accident, phone calls and more pictures from my iphone (again date and time stamped) and all the emails from my personal computer. After receiving the ONLY email response from George May (as above) I contacted my insurance company (Allstate) who has since investigated the matter and inspected the damages of my car. They have since reimbursed me for all the damages AND collected the information above--apparently, they have intentions to collect from George May themselves. I have also contacted the Better Business Bureau (Des Moines, Iowa) and filed a formal complaint where you can view copies of many of my email correspondence to Jon and George. I truly have no desire to communicate with him any more, he is a dishonest crook. He can deal with Allstate... It is sickening that there are people out there like him and I want the community of Cedar Rapids, Iowa to be aware of who they are supporting and or dealing with if they are customers to any of his businesses including GS Enterprises LLC- Auto Locators, Blue Lagoon Car Wash and Storage, and Wilcox Bobcat. read more
