THEY WILL RUIN YOUR RUG. I took my rug to be washed at this place at their drop off service. The lady received it, rushed me along, and said she would take care of it. When I picked it up, the rug was completely destroyed. The colors leaked so badly it's no longer recognizable. They refused to take any responsibility even though they did not caution me that damage could occur. I trusted their expertise but they claimed that all they do is put things in washing machines and don't use their own judgement regarding proper care. They instead blamed me for taking the rug to them. Horrible establishment with even worse customer service. No one would give me a supervisors contact information. Zero transparency. The rug held a lot of sentimental value to me, this was extremely frustrating. read more

Mistake happen but as an establishment you should be there with a solution. I washed my credit card and ID, I figure the cycle was going to finish so I didn't hit the red button to retrieve it. I begin to sort through my clothes and find my credit card but not my ID. I see there's a small gap between the opening. I call over the attendant who just scolds me for not telling her it was in there. I tell her " what's next". She says go get a new one . Mind you I live out of state so yeah let me hop on a plane that'll cost me a round trip of nearly $300 rent a car drive to my DMV JUST because you can't open the bottom of those washers. What if it was my passport, or an important green card. Again, you can't say " oh just get another one" Absolutely ridiculous, how do they maintain the machines if they aren't servicing them ? Proudly loyal to this spot for 6 years! They have everything from household single load machines to 6x loaders and tons of them. Their dryers are only 25 cents/14 minutes. Initial appeal comes from its huge parking lot. But they are super clean and courteous. Vending machines if you run out of detergent or dryer sheets, or get the munchies. 2 TVs, lots of space to fold clothes, and they have a drop off service that they charge by the pound. This is a neighborhood laundromat for the Pilsen community and families. Hablan español. It has everything you need!!!! read more

No problems here. So many machines! 50 dryers and 54 machines (yep, I counted!) I was in a bind and since it's Fourth of July there were no drycleaners nor laundry places open, I yelped this place. A 12 minute Uber ride from my hotel. Got all my clothes cleaned and dried for 8 bucks! It's clean, there are TV's, vending machines, and a couple of arcade games. Dodgy neighborhood but I had no issues. Recommended. read more

I just moved somewhere that has no in-unit washer/dryer. SO, I had to check out the places where I could wash my clothes nearby. I came here first, because Yelp only showed me two of the three places near me. The other one was way far from me. Anyways, it's clean and if you get your change from their machines, there's a chance you win a coin for a free was in any machine. They also have a game or two and lots of vending machines for anything you could possibly need. It's not bad, but there's nothing to do if you aren't into the Spanish soaps or pigging out on expensive vending snacks (as vending machines always overprice). The dryers are excellent though, and if you're a risk taker with leaving your clothes behind, there's some grocery stores around if it's early. I haven't gone back though, because that third laundromat Yelp didn't talk about (until now) is closer, cheaper and has a cheap little coffee and hot chocolate dispenser and timers on the double loaders =/ Sorry Blue Kangaroo. read more

Even after moving out of this area I still go back here to wash clothes. Why? They've got everything I need to get through the multi-hour task. Ample parking, across the street from a nice park with Popsicle vendors and stuff. They've got soda and snack vending machines. Nothing healthy but hey, it's nice to always have the option... Plenty of ways to spend those quarters. You can play Ms. Pacman or Galaga, you can buy laundry bags from vending machine, up until recently they even had PC computers you could pay you use and get online but those are gone now. There is free WIFI and sometimes guys walk through selling CDs, socks, or candy for cheap. So lots to keep you asking "where the hell am I??" One of the mild drawbacks is there are very often a lot of kids running around unsupervised and if you're like me (kind of goofy), that can be nerve-racking. Kids settle down please, this is serious business adult space. There is a nice bathroom so that's good. But sometimes they're out of paper which I'm not a fan of. They sell laundry supplies at slightly marked up prices (walk 2 blocks east and the Family Dollar has everything much cheaper), which you can't really blame them for doing. They have coffee on Sunday mornings which almost makes up for the crazy number of families there. But don't have high expectations here, drip coffee and pretty sure it's Folgers. The staff do their job well and that includes not speaking English. I don't mind, don't ever really need to speak to them (with words at least, they just give me change or unlock the bathroom door), but it's worth noting that in 5 years I don't think I've ever heard a staff member speak English here. Just sayin. They open early and stay open late but not 24 hours (in a row). Different type of machines like the $7 super washer. I can fit about 3 weeks worth of clothes from me and my wife (no small task, about 3-4 loads in normal washer. Finally, a word of advise. When you first walk in, try to find a cart and place to sit, and park yourself there. If it's sort of packed the sooner you find your place to process your clothes the sooner others in the laundry world will start to see you as higher up on the social pecking order - which is ultimately the goal of any laundry session - to be king of the world for a couple hours... So I'll be back next weekend. I'm a fan. read more

I used this place to drop off my laundry. I had three weeks worth of laundry and they did it all! It's .90 a pound and totally worth it. Impeccable folding and my clothes smelled great. May not be a good option if you have skin allergies. I do not. The turn around time was less than 24 hours, but they let me keep it there till the next day. One word of caution.... They charge 5$ for a bedding sheet. Soooo... I won't have them washing my sheets, but everything else- great! They only take cash- which is fine. The nearest ATM is a block and a half away. Clean, friendly, and no spanish speaking skills required. read more

Business has improved big time at this location! I highly recommend this place. They are very clean and courteous. Free Wi-Fi is a plus too.

Change machine is back in order so they can break bills now. Upgrading Blue Kangaroo from 2 to 3 stars. I will also give them props for offering free coffee and just generally being a clean joint. Laundry is expensive though -- I don't remember how much but I think it was like 2.75 or 3.25 a load. Kind of a fun spot for people-watching. read more

Cheese coin thing here that gives out free wash tokens. Lots of free parking. Open till midnight. It's not like we're in Pilsen or anything (Mexico)...Learn the language or leave foo! read more

First experience at a laundromat and was extremely happy with Blue Kangaroo! Building was super clean with a ton of available machines, carts and seating! Wifi, TV and vending machines available as well. Workers and other people in general doing their laundry were so nice and helpful. Would 100% recommend! read more

I started doing my laundry here about a year ago and made this my go-to because of the reviews on this site. Looks like I'll have to do my research again because this place has gone way down hill. Too many people start snacking here and the folding counters are filled with crumbs, sticky rings from soda cans and ketchup stains. Since no one bothers to clean the mess it just sits there. I do laundry to clean my clothes not to add more of a mess after I just paid to clean them. read more

Don't ever go here. Ever. It's a waste of your time and money. I had all my laundry stolen and they said there was nothing they could do since the cameras were facing another direction. Then the quarter machine ate my twenty dollars; the attendant did not speak English and told me to come back the next day. It was my worst laundromat experience ever. Very clean and newer machines that are clean and maintained; all different load sizes. Large parking lot to accommodate cars. Staff is friendly, speak mostly Spanish but understand English. Plenty of folding tables, vending machines, etc. I used to wash at Yo-Yos on Chicago Ave but will return here; bigger, cleaner laundromat. read more

I have been to every laundry mat in Pilsen and this is the BEST. I'm very picky when it comes to where a wash my cloths especially since I always had my own washer and dryer but I just moved into a place that does not have one. This place is open until midnight which is perfect for my late schedule. It's very clean, all machines work, free parking lot and free WiFi. Only thing is when I walked in the attendant told me 90 min wasn't enough time to wash my 2 loads, knowing it was I still did and she let me. I was out in hour. They have tons of machines for all size loads and 25 cent dryers. Vending machines and tvs. I love this place, I'll come back to this place every time until I get my own washer and dryer.lol read more

Pretty decent. They need more carts. Hard to find the person that works there for change on big bills. But pretty clean.

I visited the location on Manheim. They allow children to sit on the tables where your clothes are to be folded. There is plenty of seating available at the location and a play area. After washing my clothes I needed a folding table to fold my clothes. I could not find one because the attendants allow people to let their children sit on the folding tables while their clothes are still washing. I finally thought I found a spot to fold my clothes. I was told by a kid no older than 8 years that all 3 tables they were sitting on was being used. They were not folding clothes on the tables at that time. All I saw was 4 unattended kids ranging from about ages of 3-12 years sitting on the tables. I went to the attended on duty to let her know I needed 1 of the tables. She did say something to the kids. Their parents were no where to be found. They continued to sit on the tables. They could have fallen off the tables and hurt themselves!!! I have been to this location several times and I noticed they continue to let people have their kids sit on the folding tables!!! I will not patronize this place again. When you go to the grocery store, they do not allow you to sit on the tables where groceries are being bagged. It is not sanitary!!!! read more

This place has 10 machines that have been out of service for 2 months. They do not have change at all. The employees are clueless.

This is NOT about the laundry on 18th street but the one on Pulaski in Little Village. I live by UIC & make the trek all the way there because it's newer than the one on 18th but I am NEVER going back there again. I lost $20 in the coin machine while i had a whole row of machine washing. The attendant was unhelpful, just repeating over & over how they had no access to money & I had to return the next day when the manager was there. I finally had her call the manager, Patty, so I could talk to her myself. & who gave me the same excuses. I spent 10 minutes asking her what I was supposed to do with all my wet clothes? I finally wore her down & she said they would give me credit for the amount I used. The attendant who had previously no access to money removed $10 from the coin machine so I could dry my clothes. Before I left I gave them all my information & filled out a credit slip & was told to call anytime the next day to pick up my money. I called 3 times, was told to call back before I even said what I was calling about, the other 2 times I was put on hold only to be told that the manager who is only there between 5am-12pm didn't leave them any money & had no idea why I was calling & to call again tomorrow between those hours! I am never going back there again after I pick up my money & I am making sure no one I know goes there either, Their attitude & rudeness & the sheer lack of caring about their clients was completely uncalled for.
