You'll love AIRE if you want a relaxing place to soothe your mind, body, and senses. The location…read moreis near the West Loop, and has valet parking, but you could find street parking nearby. There are a variety of services to choose from, but the various baths of different temperatures and salt engage the senses like no other. It's co-ed, and you can move between baths at your leisure. There's even a semi-outdoor waterfall bath. The variety is wonderful. There's a salt shower area that you could rub salt on yourself which feels wonderful. I really enjoyed the sauna which had an aromatherapy component to it and a cold plunge inside. I didn't think I could do it, but the hot temps made it easier to get into the cold water. Service here is splendid, and reservations need to be made so that over-crowding doesn't happen. This makes the experience of coming here much more enjoyable. You can really unwind, relax, and come out of this feeling refreshed.

Not so bad... Pretty Chic. I like it…read more They take you back. Guys and girl separate. You each have your own locker rooms. They give you direction and off you go. There is staff around so if you have any questions, that can be answered. The locker rooms are clean. There are a couple private changing rooms and, of course, cuz it is separate from the men, you can choose to change in the open. You change into your bathing suit and they provide a robe. Within this locker room, there are showers available and there is also an area provided to get ready AFTER the services are complete. It has hair dryers and spray deodorant and I think lotions. They do provide "wet slippers". They fit like no show socks so there's no need for any kind of flip flop type shoe to protect your feet. I have no review for the men's locker room cuz... Well. I'm not a man. BUT my husband had no complaints. When ready, you meet your partner and go to the "bath" area. They have all kinds of hot tubs and steams rooms and cold plunges and just yeah. It's pretty cool. You hang your robe and in you go. There is also a juice bar and the juices are delicious. Again, there is plenty of staff to assist with any questions you may have. If you booked a massage, and, of course, why not? They will let you know when it's time. You go upstairs and get the best massage of your life. I had a female masseuse and my husband had a male one. Once done, back into the locker room to get ready for the rest of your day/evening. It was a pleasant experience. It was also quite pricey. This was gifted to me and my man. Not sure if we would have extra funds to splurge within our own budget. This is downtown Chicago. Parking is NOT provided. Although they do offer valet.

I was hoping to discover a new Pain Stop…read more (http://www.yelp.com/biz/the-pain-stop-massage-therapy-chicago) For all intents and purposes, T-Pro has the makings of Pain Stop. It's a small, family-run, affordable massage practice. I was dreaming of the wonderful experience I would have at this hidden (and newly opened) massage spot in the West Loop and how I could "discover it" and tell the world! I was delighted at the spontaneous nature of our appointment. I was ready to be impressed, despite knowing it was going to be "no-frills." Sometimes I just like a massage to be nitty gritty, a bit painful, sans stones and robes and all the extras. See again: Pain Stop. I was not impressed. And then, I was very sad. I called ahead a few hours, just to make sure they could take us. They seemed confused when I called, but given the language barrier...we pressed forward and figured it would be fine. We arrived at our appointment time, were shown to a room and that's where things went downhill. 1. Boyfriend was given the regular massage table, I was given a "stand-in" used as a backup. This had a hole for the face (instead of the standard face cradle) and my cheekbones were in massive pain the entire time she pressed on my back, head, neck or shoulders....smashing my face in. It was covered with a paper towel that was scratchy. Not relaxing. 2. It was cold in the room, coupled with peppermint lotion. Not relaxing. 3. Halfway through the massage, my boyfriend's massage therapist (a girl) had an appointment arrive. She left!? Then the dude came in and finished his massage. Said dude also answered his cell phone during the massage (which rang loudly) and was bickering with his wife in undetermined language all through massage. Not relaxing. 4. We were never asked to give our preferences, asked anything about the pending massage, communicated with at all. 5. We had to pay BEFORE the massage. Hmm. What? I held the tip for after, and rightfully so. 6. My massage was...boring. Not pain reducing. Not relaxing. Not anything. Lotion rubbing. I can do that at home. It's only $60/hour (grand opening special), but even at this price I'd say it is not worth it. Unfortunately they do not have it together here, and the massage quality is lacking. I can forgive a few missteps if the massage is killer, but alas this place is lagging behind on many fronts. The woman is very friendly and I do think they mean well...so let's hope they can remedy some of the above. Sorry friends, I wished to bring you a new spot to relax and enjoy on the cheap...but this one is a flop. T-NO. *street parking free/easy.

I must have looked pretty confused just standing there at the front desk with a dumbfounded look on my face, because one of the two women (with her mouth full of food!) said a little more to elaborate: "It's because of the license." Okay... I've been an IL state licensed massage therapist for six years, and no such gender restriction exists. I'm sure their male clients enjoy their services, if you know what I mean. Meanwhile, I'll be reporting them to the Department of Professional Regulation.

You are greeted with a warm smile as they check you in and given gentle directions where you can change in their large facility into your robe and slippers. Then they guide you to where you can go to wait to meet your masseuse. It was a last minute booking and the last slot for an evening massage. It wasn't long at all before my smiling masseuse came to come and get me. Before I knew it I was laying face down getting the most relaxing massage I've had in a long time. This place serves at a high end level of excellence. My masseuse was very professional and just knew the perfect level of pressures to get all the knots, kinks, and stress print up on my back. This place lifts and floats you away from the business of the outside world and the whirls that swirl around inside your head. They know how to relax you to the max and send you off relaxed and recharged for the world. I hope to go back there sooner than later.

After securely storing our belongings in lockers, we were guided to the serene lounge area to relax before our services. My partner and I booked the Couples Journey, which was the perfect indulgence. It began with a full-body scrub, followed by 25 minutes soaking in a luxurious infinity tub with lavender Epsom salts, and finished with a heavenly 60-minute massage. I had Javier as my therapist, and he was absolutely phenomenal, one of the best massages I've ever had. His technique and pressure were spot on. My partner had Elizabeth, who was also excellent and very sweet she made us feel so comfortable and thoroughly explained everything. After our treatment, we returned to the lounge where we were offered light snacks, tea, and water. Once refreshed, we each headed to the wet lounge, which features a sauna, steam rooms, and showers. I personally loved the steam room and spent most of my time there, although I did notice the sauna wasn't heating properly during our visit. The spa was overall very clean and well-maintained. However, I echo a few other reviewers in saying the bathroom could use a bit more attention. That said, it wouldn't deter me from returning we had a wonderful, relaxing day and will absolutely be back.
