We stayed here 2 nights and found it exceptional for our needs. Granted, our needs are pretty simple. We didn't drive, so there was no dealing with the parking lot. We got the room we booked, accommodating our request for a high floor. We loved the view, found the location excellent for a quick city experience, enjoyed the hot tub and pool, used the gym, and left happy with the decision to stay at Blue Horizon. The room was extremely spacious and clean, the TV had a device for casting (much more enjoyable than just having standard channels, in my opinion), and the beds were good. They also happened to be doing a preventive bed bug inspection with a bed bug-sniffing dog while we were there, which was hugely reassuring, even though we didn't suspect any problems.

View from the balcony of our room

Friendly staff, clean and spacious rooms, excellent view, was able to walk to where we wanted or else short uber rides. Would definitely stay here again!

I really like this hotel. I can't beat the location it's close to everything it was very clean and the view is beautiful right in the middle of the city so many E close restaurants if you were going to Vancouver and love food, this is a good place to stay there's so many good places to try right across the street.

Loved it! This hotel has been recently remodeled, but you can still tell it is an older building. The lobby is bright and open, but not terribly big. There were lots of people checking in/out when we went through each time. I think they were tours. Anyway, elevators aren't super fast and they are pretty small, so frequently we'd be full up and have to turn people away on other floors. The hallways are narrow and not terribly modern looking. When we first checked in, I was like, oh boy, what have we gotten ourselves into.... then we opened the door to our room and my son said "holy crap, this place is NICE!!" So it seems they kept the halls narrow in favor of keeping the rooms large and open. Each room is a corner room, with lots of light and great views if you're on higher floors. The bathroom is pretty small with a low ceiling - I wish they had taken a bit of the space near the "kitchenette" (fridge and counter and coffeemaker) and added a little space to the bathroom, but oh well. Rooms were quiet and private, and truly had space to move around. Huge closet, robes, a safe, all the things you expect from a nice hotel. Staff at the front desk was courteous and quick. Prices were very reasonable, and I would definitely recommend and stay here again.

I'm giving this place four stars because we booked a Superior room and ended up on the 26th floor with a killer view. The views were so amazing we had booked two nights but stayed for a third. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom is updated. The internet is free. The location is fabulous (there are oodles of cheap, authentic diverse restaurants right outside your door). But the views--the views (of the city and the ocean from the side we were on) make it a four star place. Here are the drawbacks: 1. We had to pay $3.99 for a toothbrush 2. Parking is $18 a night 3. No rollaway beds It's also loud, but we ran the a/c and brought a noise machine/earplugs so we slept soundly.

The Fairmont Pacific Rim delivered the kind of stay that makes you reconsider what "world class"…read moreactually means. From the moment we pulled up to the valet through every interaction with room service and housekeeping, the team made us feel like royalty -- attentive without ever being intrusive, polished without feeling rehearsed. The room itself was a highlight. Soaking in the tub with the ocean and the North Shore mountains framed in front of us is an image I'll be holding onto for a long time. It's the kind of view the city is famous for, delivered from the comfort of your own suite.

Had an absolutely memorable stay at the Fairmont Pacific Rim during our vacation in Vancouver. The…read morelobby and lobby lounge/bar area is stunning. Everything here feels modern, clean, and luxurious. Our room was beautiful, especially the bathroom with its dual sinks, separate bathtub and rain shower, and separate area for toilet. The Le Labo products were a nice touch, and everything from the towels, robes, slippers, and bedding felt luxe and high end. These beds and pillows were some of the best hotel beds/pillows I've ever slept on. We all slept so well! We also ordered room service for breakfast and everything was so good, with reasonable room service prices for the amount you get. Didn't use the gym, but it's recently renovated and beautiful. They provide iced water infused with electrolytes and there are even Pilates machines! There's also a heated rooftop outdoor pool that we didn't have time to take advantage of too. Not only is this hotel amazing, but it's in a prime location to everything - especially if you're a first time visitor to Vancouver. It's super easy to hop on the shuttle to the suspension bridge, or take a sea boat or hop on the subway to/from the airport. It's also walking distance to Gastown, Robson Street, Stanley Park and the Seawall. Highly recommend this hotel if you're in the city!

I've stayed at the Pan Pacific Hotel in Canada Place on prior trips to Vancouver. I've always…read morewanted to stay at the Rosewood Hotel Georgia (on W Georgia St) or the L'Hermitage Hotel (on Richards St) as they're located closer to the places I frequented when in town so this time, I checked on availability and pricing. A one-bedroom signature suite at L'Hermitage was significantly less than a regular room at the Pan Pacific and the Rosewood so I booked 3 nights ($625CAD/night). I got off the Silver Moon at 9:45am, handed my luggage off to a representative from Luggage Forward, and walked from the cruise terminal up to the hotel. My room wasn't ready, so I dropped off my carry-on and backpack and went shopping and to have lunch. I was still on my way to CF Pacific Centre when the front desk called, informing me my room was ready. I told them I'd return after lunch. Wow, I loved my room (707)! As you entered through a short hallway, you found yourself looking at a full kitchen to your right, bathroom to your left and then the bedroom, past a closet housing a stack washer/dryer. The living room was bright and airy because there were walls of glass. Past the kitchen was a den with a desk and sofa. Off the living room was a small lanai overlooking the pool. The kitchen featured a gas range, full-sized refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave. It was like a timeshare unit, not a hotel room, as there was tableware, glassware, etc. The only nitpick was the bathroom; it didn't quite measure up to the rest of the unit. It was small, with a full-sized glass-enclosed tub, a Toto (but without the washlet) toilet, and a small vanity and shelf unit opposite the vanity. It was totally functional, but I wished the tub had a shower wand, not just the rain head. If I could, I'd want this room moved to Hawaii to become my residence. The front desk staff were personable and friendly. The exercise facilities were fine. The L'Orangerie restaurant is located on the 5th floor ... more on that in a separate review. All told, I found the L'Hermitage to be perfect for me and will now be my hotel of choice when in Vancouver.

My favorite amenities--clothing steamer and hot water kettle--were promptly delivered. What's better than tea and wrinkle-free clothes? The room was quiet and afforded me uninterrupted sleep. The lighting at the desk caused my colleagues to compliment my visage on video conference calls. The location was an easy walk to everywhere I needed to go in Vancouver. L'Orangerie, the dining room and lounge on the fifth floor, was a lovely place to take tea and lunch. My dining companion and I had the place nearly to ourselves. On my next visit to Vancouver, I hope I'll be lucky enough to stay at L'Hermitage again.
