Well, I'm not a former employee who was fired and I'm very unhappy with the (lack of) service I got from Blue Groundways. My girlfriend booked us two RT tickets to LV leaving today, 5/5/10. We were supposed to be on the bus going up and a Lincoln Navigator coming back on Saturday. The address we were given to meet the bus is actually the Anaheim Metrolink station but it doesn't say that anywhere on the web site and we weren't told that info. It was very frustrating trying to find the meeting place. All the other addresses given tell you it's a Marriott, etc. We did find the meeting place and verified w/ a Metrolink agent that this is where the "Lux Bus" picks people up. We arrived at 838 am for a 9am departure. There was no bus. It took us a long time and lots of phone calls to be told we were supposed to be in a Navigator and that the driver had sent a text message at 9am saying he was leaving without us. There was NO ONE there waiting for us! We were told that a call had been placed the previous night to confirm our seats and to inform us we'd be in a van, rather than the bus. No such call was received, no message was left and we never spoke with anyone from Blue Groundways last night. We demanded a return call from a manager and still haven't heard back from anyone. We were offered to leave tomorrow instead. We were told they often over book and put the last reservations made on the van. Our reservation was made two weeks ago and we received a confirmation letter by email on 5/3 from Shaun saying we'd be on the bus, we'd been upgraded to two seats in the first 10 rows and would be returning by Navigator. We ended up going home, packing up the car and driving to LV ourselves. Our tickets were bought through Groupon. We followed the exact directions we were given for purchasing and booking the trip. It is extremely difficult to reach the company by phone. We kept "losing" our connection (I think we were hung up on) and told they were having phone problems. The woman we spoke with this morning kept telling us to wait there at the station even though (apparently) our van had left without us. She said the manager was on the phone with another customer. We waited 45 minutes, with no return call from the manager before we finally decided to give up and drive ourselves. We will most definitely be contacting Groupon to get our money back, We will also write a letter to the BBB of Moreno Valley to complain and ask for an investigation into their business practices. If this was the last bus company in LA, we would NOT hire them. Extremely unprofessional, unfriendly and unlikely we would ever recommend to our friends. If only there were a negative star rating. 5/26/10 Contacted Groupon, LivingSocial, and Great Work Perks who have all sold, or are currently selling promotions with Blue Groundways. Also filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the Federal Trade Commission. After talking with numerous customers, I do not believe Blue Groundways even owns and operates a "luxury bus". Not one customer has ever seen nor ridden a bus! Please beware of this company and for those of you who have been wronged by them, please take the time to write a review, and send formal complaints to the appropriate channels (BBB, Attorney General's office, Federal Trade Commission, etc). ZERO STARS!!! AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS...If you have a Groupon, call to refund your money immediately! My sister and I bought Groupons for Blue Groundways a few months ago. We thought it'd be nice to take our Mom on a belated Mother's Day weekend to Vegas. The Groupon and website advertised luxury buses with movies, beverages and food. We thought we could just enjoy a leisurely ride to Vegas, without worrying about the hassle of airport security, or driving through traffic. We won a great hotel stay on Priceline. We bought tickets for Le Reve at the Wynn. We had everything planned. We booked our transportation with Blue Groundways a few months in advance. We were initially told that the luxury bus was "sold out" on the way there and would be going in a Navigator instead. We were assured that we had the luxury bus for the return trip, and the Navigator would be equipped with a DVD and we would receive a beverage and snack. Then, 2 days before our trip, my sister called to confirm, and was told that the shuttle wasn't available and that we were informed via e-mail (a blatant lie). My sister never received a confirmation or notification from them. Shaun (the only guy who ever answered the phone) stated that we would be on a Navigator from LA to Las Vegas, and a Jaguar from Las Vegas to LA. He went on to try and "sell" this concept by stating that this way, we would have a private car and driver, and we could be picked up and dropped off wherever we chose. We really felt like we had no recourse because we were informed only 2 days before our trip. So, we decided to just grin and bear it. This past Saturday we went to the LAX Marriott (the assigned pick-up and drop-off area for Los Angeles). We arrived promptly at 8 AM. We saw 3 other women and they told us they too were waiting for Blue Groundways. Time passed and by 8:30 AM, Blue Groundways hadn't arrived. We and the other party called Blue Groundways. We didn't get through but the other party did, and was told that Blue Groundways did indeed arrive at 8:00 AM, didn't see us, and left. Blue Groundways went even further and said that we should have been waiting on Century Blvd. We know this to be complete untruths because (a) the valet drivers at the Marriott stated that they are familiar with Blue Groundways and had not seen any of their cars or buses, (b) there is no way to stop on Century Blvd. the only pick-up area would be the valet, in front of registration, and (c) we were all there on time. How could 7 people miss the shuttle/car? It was almost 9 AM when my family and I decided to just cancel our trip with Blue Groundways and drive ourselves. My Mom made a good point when she said that if they were this unreliable, and late, then how could we trust that we would have a return ride home? My sister never received a return call from Shaun. No apologies...no explanation... I am going to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I'm going to contact Groupon as well because they need to cease business with Blue Groundways, and they need to warn all their customers who purchased Groupons. P.S. Blue Groundways had their reviews (many of them negative) on their website (up until Friday evening). The reviews have mysteriously vanished. read more

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!! If you have one of these Groupons, just call and ask if you can return it. We had such an awful experience with them this weekend... My boyfriend bought two of their vouchers for our Memorial Day trip. At 6 a.m. on Saturday, they called and said the bus broke down in Las Vegas and that they would buy us two Amtrak tickets. Um, Amtrak is a train. There is no train to Vegas. They bought us Greyhound tickets so we were on a smelly bus that departed from Union Station. But we were like, whatever, we've got the whole vacation in front of us and the bus wasn't too crowded. We had paid extra to get another round of drinks and a breakfast sandwich, but we figured we'd just redeem it on the trip back Monday. Then yesterday (Monday), they called us at 1 pm and said the bus was still broken from Saturday, so they'd buy us Greyhound tickets again. If the bus was still broken, why didn't they let us know earlier? It was two hours before the bus was scheduled to leave. We would have bought plane tickets or organized a ride with friends if we'd known earlier, but by then everything was sold out and most of our friends had left town already. So we had to cut out vacation short (the Greyhound station is in Old Vegas, next to the Golden Nugget - a half-hour, $30 cab ride from the Monte Carlo where we stayed) and got literally the last two seats on the icky Greyhound bus. 15 minutes after we left the station, we looked up and realized we were BACK AT THE STATION. The Greyhound bus had also broken down. So they loaded us onto another bus. This one smelled awful and, again, was totally packed. Oh, and the guy sitting two seats away from me had one of those teardrop tattoos that you get when you're in a gang and you've killed someone. AWESOME. It took us TEN HOURS from when we left our hotel at 2 to when we got back to the LA greyhound station. Oh, yeah, they never mentioned that the bus was being redirected from Union Station to the Greyhound station, so our ride home was at the wrong place and had to drive around downtown LA at midnight to try and find us. I am livid. It ruined our whole vacation, and today I'm exhausted and angry. Ugh. Thanks for nothing Blue Groundways!! read more

If I could give them negative stars I would!!! There is no luxury bus as promised!! When I booked our trip they said we would be traveling in a nice SUV, which is not what we prepaid for but ok.... well at 6am driving from San Diego to the "bus" they called and said there was no room in the car for us!!!! Our hotel was paid for and my friends where here from NY and Poland. It's been months and I'm still having to fight them to try and get a refund!!! How do I give negative stars on this thing?! I totally need that option for this one! This company advertises themselves as a "luxury" bus. What's the absolute polar opposite antonym of luxurious? Ah, yes. The experience had with this horrendous company. Seriously, this company is the BIGGEST SCAM I have EVER experienced. They have no ethics, no morals, and no standards. Everything they say is BULLSHIT! Customer service is non-existant (called 10+ times on day of travel to find out where they were b/c they were so late....left 5 msgs....no one answered or ever called back!) . Even if you bought this serivce as a Groupon already, spare yourself the pain and don't use it. I tried to use mine this past weekend and here is a summary of what happened: - scheduled departure from LAX at 8:00 am with 4.5 hour arrival to Las Vegas. we got there at 5:30pm - no wifi, no movies, blankets that looked like larger car wash towels, unmarked containers to serve your "alcohol" - bus smelled like pee and was gross - staff lies to your face and not apologetic, then yells at you for asking what the delay is and tells you to "keep your negative comments to yourself!" - we booked a last minute return flight to go home ($171.50 one way) before we even left LA to avoid repeating this misery Groupon was apologetic and gave a refund but I strongly recommended that they terminate any further dealings with this company to avoid negative associations with a company this bad. I wouldn't wish this horrible experience on anyone, so you better just take my word for it. read more

This company cancelled on a trip for the 4th of July that's been booked for over a month now THREE days before the scheduled departure!!!!! Not only did they completely cancel the bus, but they NEVER booked the rooms they promised in the special! And they've given NOTHING to offer to even attempt to appease the situation! This company is HORRIBLE!!! I agree with you Cam, s m. and all the rest. I too booked the 4th of July special a month prior and was told the day before that it would be cancelled. Unlike many of you, I didn't book it through Living Social or Groupon which is where I went wrong. Living Social refunded their guests immediately. They rectified the problem for those that purchased via their system and issued a $50 credit for future use. That is what a reputable and professional company does. All this company did was give me attitude and a half a** apology. I even contacted Ballys the week before and they had never heard of Blue Groundways. Nor did they have a room reservation in my name. I immediately contacted Blue and spoke to Danielle and was told it was because they used a "special name" for the rooms. That was clearly a lie because 6 days later she called and informed us of the cancellation. They blamed it on Living Social and Living Social blamed it on them. Living Social says Blue Groundways contacted them cancelling the trip the day before. I am still waiting for my refund. I just spoke to the only professional employee at the company Johnathan who swears that I will be receiving a $554.55 credit within 7-10 days (today is the 7th biz day) Danielle and all the rest of the employees are sketchy. I am an avid yelper and have no ties to the company. I just needed to comment on their excellent customer service. I bought a groupon for $49 which is a great deal for a R/T to Vegas on a luxury bus. I had my friend buy a R/T as well so we could go for Memorial Day weekend and not spend an arm and a leg on air fare. Prior to our departure time, I received a call saying that the bus hadn't returned from Las Vegas the previous day. Waiting at the Marriott, we started corresponding with Shawn (bless his heart) and he told us we were going to get shuttled via SUV to Vegas. B/c some time had passed, we had to be there by 2:30pm for a show, so they accomodated us by booking us the last two plane tickets (on the same flight) out of the LA area (Long Beach Airport) to LAS (McCarren International). We had to taxi to LB where they are reimbursing us the money. Once we were there they contacted us prior to our Monday afternoon bus and let us know that they had to rearrange our ride situation again. We were a little upset, b/c there were no flights into the Los Angeles, area (BUR, LAX, LGB, or John Wayne) nothing!! So the Amazing Shawn, again found us a flight to Ontario, where Lexi picked us up in a Jag and dropped us off at home. Now that is Customer Service. They accomodated us so kindly, no voices had to be raised and they provided very professional service with a smile. Even though we did not get to ride on the bus, we received such excellent service that I would recommend Blue Groundways to friends and family. read more

GLAD TRIP WAS CANCELED. Who knows what would have happened if it went through. I actually called to cancel my trip 2 months before my scheduled trip date (Aug 12 2010), and the only guy that picks up the phone (Sean) tried his best to convince me that the reviews on Yelp were unfair and to "trust" the company. It normally takes about 20 calls to finally get through, by the way. I tried to give them a chance, and didn't cancel, only to wait and see what actually happens. Heck, 4 days/3 nights at Bally's was a good deal. Living Social told us the the trip was canceled and we would be refunded the money. Thank God that happened. I wouldn't want to deal with them anyways. Please take these reviews into consideration. Do not book with them, unless you want to deal with the sketchiest company I've ever encountered. It is a scam. No one has ever seen a bus. Their website is beyond amateur. (Even the logo on their "bus" picture is photoshopped). Don't give your money, you WILL be disappointed. As I posted on the original discussion for this groupon, the bus never showed. This is after planning our trip to Vegas with taking this bus in mind: A night for our two dogs at the pethotel: $53 Cab ride from where we live: $25 Total unrecoverable lost because the bus never showed: $78 Six hours of my life lost to this loser company? I would say priceless, but technically, about $420. I talked with Colin in customer support and we received a refund. There were additional riders with us. Two had bought groupons, two others had bought regular tickets who may not get a refund from the company. I hope they sue. I would like to be a part of shutting this company down. On Thursday at 4pm I confirmed my reservation. I was told we were confirmed for two seats. We proceed with taking our dogs to the pethotel that night, since it would not be open before 9pm on Friday. At this point, we have now spent $53 due to this company. We woke up at 6 am to get a 7:15 taxi to LAX Marriot. We were there by 7:45. The taxi cost $25. The Marriot thought we were taking the Luxe Bus. Apparently, those guys not only get there in time, but if you are missing, they contact the hotel valet. Unfortunately, we weren't taking that particular bus. At 8:08 I called the company. No answer, so I left a message. I thought we might have missed the bus, as other buses were leaving. At 8:20 I called again, leaving a message again. At 8:45 I noticed there were other people waiting. Looks like no one had heard anything, and they were also calling. At around 9:00 I called Groupon. Colin (from Groupon) attempted to call all contact numbers for this company. He also contacted the account manager for this company. Groupon could not get a hold of anyone. At around 9:45 am, we realized we had to get to Vegas a different way. We had plans for Friday night, and waiting 2 hours for a bus that never showed was stupid. Colin began processing our refund. I called everyone who I knew also bought this groupon and told them to get the hell out of this deal. This company is bad. read more

Not sure what's going on with these reviews but I can say without a doubt that I have used this service and will use them in the future. My boyfriend and I planned a trip to Vegas and a groupon offer for this service became available a couple weeks before our trip. We were extremely excited about the idea of someone else driving us to and from Vegas (driving back while very hungover is NOT a pleasant experience). Anyways...bought our groupon tickets ($50 a piece for the round trip) and called the company to make a reservation. It was very obvious they weren't prepared for the volume of calls generated by groupon but everyone I talked to was extremely nice and most were knowledgable. Day of trip (LAX marriot): Driver 20 minutes late. Not cool but hey, it's LA traffic. Trip down there was more than awesome. 5 passengers in a Lincoln Navigator, professional driver, and door-to-door drop off service. Pleasant experience. Day of return: Driver 1.5 hours late. Not cool. Driver should have called. Over all pleasant with a couple minor annoyances. Called Shaun to inform him of the tardiness (definitely not cool in my book) and he was more than willing to listen and provide feedback to his employees. I definitely feel like we got our money's worth and we're planning on using them again in the future--specifically their bus service this time around. I'm not a former employee either and I am pretty upset with this company. My boyfriend and I got the $49 round trip to Vegas deal from Groupon which stated that we would be in a luxury bus. I don't think this luxury bus exists... Because of the high groupon demand, the luxury bus was not available and we had to ride the Lincoln Navigator which is just an SUV and you get a small snack (no alcoholic drink etc as advertised). The ride to Vegas was pretty good but the ride back was a nightmare. The bus was 2.5 hours late picking us up and we did not get back home till about 11:30pm. Granted, their tardiness was due to traffic, but they did not call to update us and we were left in the middle of MGM's lobby wondering what had happened to our ride. I called multiple times and was told "we'll be there soon" or "it'll be another 20 minutes." Unfortunately those statements were not true and nobody on the bus thought to call us to let us know that the 20 minutes had passed and they were still stuck deep in traffic. Next, they had an issue with their credit card and so we waited at a gas station for about 45 minutes. There was also no snack or food as advertised on the ride back. For the terrible trip back, they were nice enough to drop me and my boyfriend off at Santa Monica outside our apartment due to the fact that we arrived so late and our ride couldn't make it to the Mariott pick up spot so late at night. Here's the big problem I have right now, I spoke to Shaun (manager?)who informed me that they would refund a certain amount of money to me due to our horrible experience. At first I thought he was great because he was very receptive of my suggestions and he offered us two free round trip tickets. However, it has been about two months and I have not received the check that was promised. I've called multiple times and spoken to Diana (one of our drivers and someone who picks up the calls at times) who kept informing me there was something wrong with accounting and that someone would get back to me. No one EVER got back to me. I had to keep calling over the weeks to just give them my address. Even after telling Shaun my correct address, they still failed to send it out. I'm at my wits end with this company. I understand they were overwhelmed with the demand due to the Groupon deal, but they really need to be on top of getting back to their customers or I don't see them staying in business. *** UPDATE - 1/20/2011**** It's been a while since I've written on yelp, but I wanted to be fair on my review because Blue Groundways did eventually reimburse me about 2 or 3 months after the incident. First, I am directly asking for people to join together and sue this company. We need to hold them accountable. They are a complete scam and unfortunately me and 300 other unfortunate travels found this out the hard way on 4th of July weekend. They offered an amazing deal for a weekend in Las Vegas, luxury bus transportation and hotel rooms. Less than 24 hours before departure they notified us that the trip is cancelled and blatantly lied about the reason. I have called Ballys and it turns out they have never even heard of my name, Blue Groundways or Living Social. We each turned our credit card numbers over, we put in days off work (lost wages now) only to be victims of a scam. My husband bought a Groupon as well. Tried for for a trip in early April and were told that the bus was oversold but they would arrange for a car. Decided against that and figured we would try again later when the rush was over. We just got my husband's Amex bill and now there are several THOUSAND dollars of charges to this company.( not even a trip scheduled mind you!) Tried calling them yesterday and was told to call back today. cant get a live body today . My heart is in my mouth. I havent had the chance to even experience their services because like the previous yelper...my trip with Blue Groundways was canceled 3 days before my trip to Vegas. GRRRRR!!!! So yeah, I found a special on living social's website for a 3 day stay in Las Vegas and roundtrip trip travel provided by Blue Groundways on their "luxury" bus...yeah I bet! Anywho, I get an email from living social today that states Blue Groundways canceled and wasn't able to secure their end of the deal. This sucks major being that this trip was paid for back in May and Blue Groundways waits till now...NOW!!....ARE YOU FREAK'N KIDDING ME!!!!! Dude how in the hell can they explain this one. I made a reservation with this company over a month ago. Blue Groundways was responsible for setting up the hotel details and getting us there. I gave them my hotel room preference and bus pick up location.... and they're telling me I don't have a room reserved in my name at the hotel...or at least a way there. Couldn't they at least attempt to rectify one portion of the deal? I wasn't offered any compensation for their mistake. I partially blame living social and myself for not researching Blue Groundways rapport more thoroughly....but even Living Social was extremely apologetic and gave me a $50 credit in addition to my full reimbursement. I finally received a call from a Johnathan (from a blocked number) who told me he was researching my issue before returning my dozen phone calls. He said the charge was an error and he already processed my refund which should post by midnight. Two days later and I haven't seen any credit. He even went through the trouble of forwarding me the confirmation email for my refund and had the gall to ask that I update my Yelp post saying the issue was resolved. The issue is most definitely NOT RESOLVED. I have filed a complaint with Better Business Bureau. Everyone who has been scammed should too. read more

We had a WONDERFUL trip traveling with Blue Groundways! The service attendants were a step ahead in serving meals, drinks, dessert as well as making sure we were comfortable. I have to say that it was extremely convenient to hop on a bus and not worry about traffic and my kids asking 'are we there yet'... they had a wonderful trip too! We brought the laptop and the kids were online the entire way there! I DEFINITELY give thumbs up to Blue Groundways, as we are planning another get-away weekend soon! The day started off with a voice mail at 6am the day of telling me that I they couldn't pick me up in Anaheim because their car broke down. (there were only 3 of us, so they could have at least sent a cab to bring us to the riverside pickup. So I have my brother drive me all the way out to riverside and we get there at 10am like they requested. We waited till 1130 before the bus finally showed up even though we got a call at 10am saying the bus would be there in 15 minutes. I later found out the bus had just left Los Angeles at 10am, so they were basically lying to us. The bus that does show up is not a luxury bus, but a standard bus you would expect from a hotel shuttle as the other one was "out of service." When we finally get on the bus we sit there for over an hour and a half because of "technical problems." No it was not that the bus had any problems, it was that Blue Groundways hadn't paid the company they leased the bus from to take us to Las Vegas yet. Finally after a customer started screaming at the staff did they call their bosses to arrange our departure. It basically took us an entire day to get to Vegas. Left at 9am, finally departed at 1pm and arrived in Vegas around 530pm. Unbelievable. There were a few people who then made the smart decision of booking a rather expensive flight home rather than returning with the bus. I unfortunately decided that it had to have been a fluke, and I would ride it out. I arrived at Bally's to wait for departure at the predetermined time of 330pm. I received a call saying that the bus would again be late and it would be there at 430. No big deal, but then 430 rolls around and no bus to be seen and no contact. I make about 15 calls trying to get through to the company but they refuse to pick up. At this point all of us waiting are worried that they wont show up at all. Finally at 530 someone calls me saying that they will be there in 15 minutes. I'm a bit upset and ask them why they didn't call and inform us before, that we were expecting them at 430 and to not update us was irresponsible. The staff didn't like my tone and threatened me saying that I would not be allowed on the bus home. They were literally going to strand me there. I finally got a hold of the owner Shawn (who by the way is a convicted criminal) who semi apologized for the issue and said I would still be allowed on the bus home. At this point I just had to shut my mouth because I just wanted to get home and back to work on Monday. It was the most humiliating and frustrating experience I have ever had with a company anywhere in the world. I hope to god they go out of business soon to not inflict any more damage on unsuspecting customers. read more

This company is a complete scam, I had a very similar experience to the rest of these reviews. I had also booked the trip through Living Social that was cancelled by Blue Groundways two days before the trip left. I talked to Jonathan, who said that he could book me for a similar trip, but at the Sahara instead of Bally's, and for twice the cost as originally bought through Living Social. I was very wary of the bait and switch, but because I already had plans in Vegas, booked the trip through them. The night before the trip, I got a call from an employee named Danielle. She confirmed the trip with me, but told me it would be on an SUV and not a bus. I told her the trip was booked on the "luxury" bus. She said it was very clear on the website that it was the shuttle service which was an SUV. I was not happy but confirmed the trip. She then called me back a couple minutes later, telling me that my trip was cancelled. I asked her what she was talking about, and she told me she was just trying to joke with me because I was upset, that tells you about the professionalism of this company. Luckily, we got a ride to Vegas on an SUV, whereas 5 other people who were waiting at the hotel were stranded. Our driver told us we would be picked up on Monday between 3-3:30 at the Sahara. Sure enough, we were not picked up, had a phone call at 3:45 which went straight to voicemail, telling us that the bus was leaving promptly at 3:40 from Bally's. We were left to find our own way home. The company blamed us for not knowing we were supposed to meet the bus at Bally's, even though our driver told us we would be picked up at the Sahara. Similar to other people, they took my credit card number at the beginning of the trip - I have warned my bank to decline any charges from them. They now will not respond to my requests for a refund for not providing transportation back from Vegas as paid for. This company needs to be investigated and shut down and prevented from scamming any other people. read more

Blue groundways sounds like the new bus co that opened up months ago--it's called Lux Travel Group stay away from this bus co it's a scam--they just open up under another name------- and groupons and livingsocial and the like fall for it all over again read more
