PART 1 I, too, wish I could leave a zero rating. Their customer service is the worst. The attitude you when you call in to request a fill and if you've ever run out of propane, they require you pay a leak test fee in advance of $100. We were getting low in November of 2025, so my husband stopped into the Tekonsha office to prepay for a minimum delivery. Because we had run out in the past, they demanded we pay for a leak test in advance even though we hadn't run out yet, but my husband didn't have enough money on him to cover that. We were put off by their lousy customer service and their attitude at the counter, so when we ran out two weeks later we got a 100 lb tank from a friend and took it to another propane company to fill it. We ended up getting a second 100 lb tank and each tank would cost just under $60 to fill and would last roughly 4 to 7 days since this winter has been so cold. Our hogtail (the short copper line with a reverse threaded brass fitting on each end that goes between the tank and the regulator) started leaking just before Thanksgiving, so I stopped at Parker propane in Dimondale the day before Thanksgiving and they sold me one for $l L in stock, so they even jumped through hoops and called around to their other locations to find one and had one of their drivers that was in that area pick it up and bring it back to Dimondale so I could pick it up later that same day and they saved our Thanksgiving. What does auto fill mean. We are supposed to have it but we got down to 10 percent and I called. They didn't come, so I called the next day when it was 5 percent by 3pm, I called they delivered at 4pm. My husband has cancer and the temperatures in 10 to 20 degrees caused concern of running out. This is illegal and takes advantage of people who just want a good company! Fosters used to have a kind heart but that is surely gone to profit! Do not use this service if you have a choice!!!!!! This is about the Midland office. Betty is the rudest person I have ever talked. She shouldn't even be there. Next is Mike plant manager. He is as bad as Betty. The both accused us of lying. Two tanks of gas leaked out. They are making it sound like our fault. I see this going to court. If all possible avoid the Midland office. Horrible people. We have pictures of it leaking but they say no leaks. This whole thing is unbelievable. read more

I called because I ran out of propane at 4am on the coldest day of the year. An answering service picked up and took a message to have the office call when they open. I explained to Bobbie that my dog had passed away unexpectedly and that things kind of got away from me with the weather being so bad that I misjudged. She was so empathetic and kind to me and offered her sincere condolences-even asked me what my favorite memory of my pup was. Stacy got me started with propane and put me on a budget plan after I had several bad experiences with AmeriGas. Top notch customer service. They truly care about their customers! read more

Terrible customer service. They don't deliver when they say they will, then claim you never called to request a delivery. This caused me to run out and then they said they had to charge me a fee to do a leak test because I ran out. They literally make up fees. They charged me a surcharge to pay over the phone telling me that it was a fee from my bank. I contacted my bank and they said Blue Flame lied and returned the surcharge to me. Due to their lies and poor service we switched to another propane company. Blue Flame then tried to charge us to pick up their tank! Never use this company! read more

Terrible mis-communication with technician guy. Charges $80 for first leak check which other companies absorb into the first fill. Said he would fill it Monday but never showed. I assumed he did as I do trust people. Come to find out we ran out of propane. Had to make an emergency same day fill at $100 and then they even charged me another $100 for a leak test. All started when we said we would send the $80 check for the safety check in the mail. Tech guy said we could. They did not trust us at all!! How they resolve this will decide if we use them again or switch companies. Not good. read more

I prepaid my gas for 2018. My tank is going empty, I called in the beginning of the week, no one showed up. So I called a few days later, the person said "Oh yeah, you have a ticket and I will call the driver to head over ASAP". No one showed up. Called again and they told me "We don't deliver, because it's still summer". They took my money but won't deliver. Fill my tank before I push it out of the way and get another company that will gladly deliver what I have paid for. Do not use this company! They don't care. read more
