I'm sure there's more that I'm forgetting to mention. This was my favorite shop for tees in Tofino. They have a large selection from West Coast Tees, a Vancouver Island printer. The prices are fair and the staff was great. The shop owner gave us a couple of recommendations for Nanaimo.

This place packs an astonishing variety of goodies into a remarkably small space, and the stuff they sell is really nice. Lots of it is locally made, including designs by local artists. I just marvelled at the taste, quality, and selection. It's almost a place that you could walk into blindfolded, pick something up at random, and it would be very appealing (at least to me). And, unlike the shops in Vancouver Airport or Toronto Pearson, the goods aren't ludicrously overpriced. The clerk was also vary patient with us as we wandered around the shop, poking and prodding at things, and piling our choices on the counter. I could almost say that it's worth going to Comox just to shop here, but there are so many other things to do and see in the area that that wouldn't be quite fair.

I called this business to send flowers to a friend. Spoke to a man and was told to speak with his…read morewife Pam the next day. I did and asked if they had plants that could be transplanted to a garden. Friend is an avid gardener and knows everything about plants. Was told no, but they could do a basket with indoor plants. Asked for $50-60 basket. Final bill was $75.60. My friend called me to thank me for the basket but also indicated that basket was stuffed too full and plants were all wrong, shoved into other plants and low watering mixed in with high watering. She took the basket back after a few days and pointed out errors. Was advised to come back in a few days and they would give her some cut flowers in exchange. She went back today and male owner was there. Very surly and rude. Told her he did not give a shit about her basket. Said much the same to friend's husband. Told them I would have to come in to talk to them (I live a ferry ride and a few hundred kilometers away from Port Alberni). I chose this store since it was not a chain/internet business.
