I recently needed to get something notarized and was dreading the trip to my bank (one of the "big…read morebox banks") that would probably eat up hours of my day. One suggestion came up that I should try calling Schwab to see if they offer the service, and they do!! Called ahead and Cooper told me that both persons manning the desk had the ability to notarize documents, no appointments needed. Later in the day, I made my way over to Schwab. The SouthPark location is super convenient, they have their own, dedicated parking lot that was easy to get in and out of. The counter is shared with TD Ameritrade, so once you figured out which side of the main desk to go to, it was a breeze. Cooper looked like he just came back from lunch, or a break but he remembered my voice from my phone query and we got to notarizing (with valid ID and documentation of course!) There was no line and the whole thing probably took 15min (I spent more time driving to the location I bet). Of course, I was only notarizing two documents (total of 6-8 pages of information for my professional engineering license... so I'm sure you need to allot for more time if you have a lot of paperwork to go through and review). It also helps that I am a Schwab account holder. Overall it was a great experience, and I need to think of them more often when I need to do "official business things" or in need of a notary.

I couldn't even get to the part of hiring this guy, because I found them so hugely unprofessional…read moreand immature. When I inquired, they sent me a returned email that Debbie was going to return my call to set up an appointment for the following week. She never did. Instead, I had to call back and inquire a second time. There wasn't an apology for my inconvenience or anything to that affect. I was just sort of treated like "next". I didn't like that. I decided to go with a different firm, but I sent this guy a tasteful email detailing why I had chosen not to do business with him. He replied, "When I need someone to tell me how to run my firm, I will call you." I guess a law degree doesn't require maturity.

I hired Mr. Bochiccio for a Chapter 13 bankruptcy case. He sent several emails that never fully…read moreaddressed my questions. I would ask detailed questions. I wondered why pertinent information was not listed in my trustee plan. 'Don't worry about it' he would say. 'Probably takes time for everything to be included'. He had an answer for everything. Imagine my surprise when my car was repossessed late in the evening!!!! The whole point of filing Chapter 13 was to protect my property! When I attempted to regain possession of my vehicle, Mr. Boccichio gave me lots of reasons why I could never get my car back. Finally, I sought another attorney's opinion. She gave me more information in thirty minutes than I received in 6 months with Mr. Bochiccio. When I questioned him about his practices, providing the information just obtained from the other attorney, he said 'if you like her so much, you can use her!' He followed that up with an email that stated simply 'DO NOT EVER CONTACT ME AGAIN' Kinda surprised me after paying this guy $2000 bucks.
