It was the perfect bread for our lunch. It was a French loaf, and though it didn't have any spices or seeds in it, it had so much flavor, and was super soft. It toasted up nicely, too. You can tell that the guy who makes the breads and cookies (yes, he makes cookies, too) is really passionate about what he does. He took the time to explain his process and what he puts into his loafs. I want to go back to the farmers market and buy one of his sweet breads next time.

The loaves have great texture, flavor and now I'm totally motivated to get to the Winter Market this weekend. I bought a jalapeño/bacon/cheese loaf and a garlic cheese loaf plus his signature bread. It is all delicious. His signature loaf in the summer is a bread shape, in the winter it's a round shape. It's great for sandwiches or toast. My advice is to get to the market early if you want bread, at 9:00 he was already selling out of items.

I agree to pay $59.00 for a cake which is to feed 2 dozen people. I go ahead with the order even though it sounds pricey because I want something really nice for our party. So, I pick up the cake and I am surprised when the lady hands me a 9 x 9 1/2 inch cake! (Please see pictures.) The cost is $49.00 for the cake and $5.75 for the box. With tax my total cost was $59.59 for a 9 x 9 1/2 cake. I am expecting a larger cake for the price, but I do not complain. The lady is so sweet and so proud of her work. I do stop by Kroger however and buy a second cake so we will be sure to have enough for everyone. Now for the taste test! The cake is heavy in the box for a cake its size. I cut into the cake and find the cake is thick and moist and the icing is amazingly rich and creamy. We are actually able to cut the cake into 24 pieces because of the depth of the cake and the rich thick layer of icing. Everyone thought the cake was amazing, but thought I was crazy for spending $60.00 on it. If you have a party or a celebration and you don't mind paying the price, you can't get a better cake!
