"Breaker Panel Upgrade/Misc. work" I purchased a house and found some electrical issues that needed to be addressed. I wanted an electrician who could perform an inspection and give me an estimate for not only the known issues but for anything else that may need to be updated and/or corrected/fixed. When I started looking for an electrician, I was looking for someone who did quality work and that would do the job right the first time. I came across Blue Collar Electricians in my search and after reading the reviews contacted them for an inspection estimate. Jacob initially came out for inspection. He was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions and concerns. He also pointed out some issues he had found during his inspection. After our meeting, I had a good feeling with the choice I made contacting BCE. I received a detailed estimate for all the work to be performed and the cost was reasonable. They scheduled two days for the work to be completed. The communication with Jacob and the office staff at Blue Collar was exceptional. Jacob and co-workers (Jackie, Patrick & Tyler) showed up on time ready to work. They were all professional and did a "Quality Job" on replacing/upgrading to a 200 amp breaker panel in the house and a 100 amp breaker panel in remote building along with fixing all the other issues. After installation, they stayed late and performed an operational check on both breaker panels and labeled all the circuits. Jacob and Patrick did a final walk-through with me to ensure I was satisfied with all the work that was performed and answered any questions I had. On the first day they stayed late and finished the entire job. Again, they did an excellent job on everything. I give Jacob and his co-workers a five-star rating but if there was an option to give them additional stars I would. read more

I was lucky to find Blue Collar Electricians in my Google search, leading up to the installation of my hot tub. I had a few other services come out to quote the project and Blue Collar was the best priced and most willing to run the conduit inside the home. I had a great discussion with the electrician Pat during the quoting process, as well as the day of the installation. He is a very kind, attentive, courteous, and professional individual. I never once doubted his attitude, intent, character, or work ethic. I really appreciate the work that he did installing our hot tub. He was sure to answer and ask questions before, during, and after the project. He made sure I was aware of the process while installing the hot tub. He was able to place the sub-panel at an optimal location, while making the work look very clean and professional. Without my asking or concern, he dug a trench for the conduit, from the sub-panel to the hot tub, which other services who had quoted prior all mentioned running about ground. I was pleased because it creates a safer area to move around, and it looks very professional. Overall, I had a great experience with Blue Collar, from the front office administrators, the electricians, the thoroughness of email and phone communication, project pricing, professionalism, and the convenient financing available. I will undoubtedly recommend Blue Collar Electricians to anyone I come across that needs electrical work done. There is a reason they have 5 Star reviews, and if they continue to do what they do in the field, while retaining employees like Pat and Miranda, they will continue excellence. read more

June 5th a tower in my back yard recieved a direct hit by lightning. The lightning followed the feed line cables into the house and damaged several pieces of electronics beyond repair. It then blew out several rooms of wall outlets, fans and lights and blew the main and branch circuit breaker, damaging the branch breaker. It left black suit around the switches and outlets and melted the connecting wiring. Both the county safety inspector and local fire dept. advised me to have a licensed electrician look over the system. As it obviously needed major repair I contacted Blue Collar Electric . Dennis Hudson of Blue Collar showed up the next day and opened the switches and outlet boxes. Wiring had literally melted the wiring and this indicated serious damage probably existed in the walls that could cause a fire. We agreed on a date, and the Blue Collar men showed up a few days later. They were able to replace probably 100 feet of wiring in the walls and drilled a small hole (1/4 ) inch in the ceiling above each box that needed replaced. I was amazed as I watched them use fish tapes to pull the new wires out of the outlet boxes and rewire the circuits including the main breaker box. They filled all the holes with drywall patch. A small amount of sanding and a little paint applied with a Q tip and you cannot tell that anything ever happened. The electricians were very professional and friendly and worked very hard to complete the job in 2 days. They had been recommended to me by a friend, and I would not hesitate to recommend them. Okay .. we had a tree fall on our power lines damaging the shaft where the power line connect to our house from the street.. the illuminating company cut off our power. I called a different electric company would could not help us and they said I would need an electrician with a bucket truck to fix what was damaged.. I called at-least 10 different electricians none of them had a bucket truck.. By the time I called blue collar which was recommended to me through Portman Electric, I was crying and super frustrated. Maranda was SO NICE. She said even if they couldn't help she would help me find someone who could. Which was SO nice and none of the electric company's had offered to help me like that.. That same day three Blue Collar Electricians arrived.. in ONE DAY they: 1) got an emergency permit from the county (Geauga) 2) fixed the damage 3) and got the repair inspected by the county They also reached out to illuminating company on my behalf in order to get the work order number. All of the electricians were super friendly, kind and genuinely seemed like happy people. I have small children, one dumbass husband (who doesn't know how to cut down a tree), me and my husband both work full time, and I don't have a village. I don't have a lot of people in my life to help me watch kids or solve problems but Blue Collar Electric was there and helped us out and I cannot say how appreciative I am for all of them. They did an exceptional job. I can't say enough. read more

We had extensive electrical work done in our home over a two-day period, including running new internet cable, fixing under-cabinet lighting, installing canned lighting in our family room and living room, and resolving complex issues with our outdoor lights. John, Reese, Tyler, Kyle, and Jacob were absolutely exceptional. Every single person who worked in our home was professional, courteous, and highly competent. They were outstanding listeners, incredibly thorough, and paid close attention to every detail. What impressed us most was how they consistently went above and beyond--especially when troubleshooting and resolving more complex lighting issues--until everything was done correctly and beautifully. The quality of the work exceeded our expectations, and the end result looks fantastic. It's rare to find a team that combines technical expertise with such strong communication and care for the customer experience. We are extremely happy with the outcome and would highly recommend their services without hesitation. read more

The team of Jacob, John and Reese did an outstanding job for us in the complex installation of a chandelier on an 18' ceiling. Due to the modifications to the wiring of the chandelier, the team had to think outside the box for solutions and they refused to give up. One of the team members (John) came up with a unique idea to correct the wiring issue and together they completed the installation. At ALL times during the process, they checked and double checked with us to ensure we were ok with the proposed solutions and happy with the ultimate completion of the project. This was not the standard installation that we all expected, but this team was determined figure it out. This commitment to going above and beyond is not the typical experience for most customers. My wife and I were thrilled with the outcome and would recommend this team for similar work. I would give them six stars if I could. In fact, we intend to use them for our next lighting project!! read more

Jacob and Pat arrived exactly at the time indicated to begin installing 5 ceiling fans and front porch lights. They entered and respected our home, as well as our elderly mother (who is immune compromised), by wearing masks during the entire time within our home. Both young men were very professional yet engaging but went about their work from the time of entering our home until the entire job was completed. Jacob and Pat left our home spotless as they clean up after installing fans and lights, even removing all boxes. Imagine our complete surprise to learn that Pat had cleared snow off of our elderly mother's car after they finished the job, and left! We would give Blue Collar Electricians more stars for rating, if possible, and we highly recommend them for any and all electrical work. We plan to have them replace our electrical panel in the very near future. Rosemary and Cynthia Anderson read more

We had a great experience with Blue Collar Electricians at our church, Saint John of the Cross Parish in Euclid, Ohio. We needed an outlet box moved in our Food Pantry, and their electricians Tyler and Reese did an outstanding job. They arrived on time, were professional, courteous, and clearly very knowledgeable about the electrical work they were performing. The job was completed efficiently, everything was installed correctly, and the work area was left clean when they finished. It's refreshing to work with a local electrical company that values quality workmanship and customer service. If you need a reliable electrician in Euclid or the surrounding area, I would highly recommend Blue Collar Electricians. Tyler and Reese provided excellent service and represent the company very well. read more

Blue Collar Electricians are the BEST!! We needed a wall sconce installed, thought we could do it ourselves but couldn't. I live in the Chardon area and would frequently drive by the Blue Collar Electrician office. Since we had never needed an electrician before, I called them, made an appointment and now have had Blue Collar Electricians back to our home 4 more times to do various jobs - hang two new light fixtures, repair wiring in a garage, install low voltage landscape lighting, replace light switches. Patrick is the very best, he is polite, responsive, personable, and he sure knows his trade!! This week we got a double bonus, Patrick and Dennis!! Both are perfectionists. We wish every business was like Blue Collar Electricians!! Would HIGHLY recommend. read more

I don't even know how to express the experience in words. Over the years, we've dealt with a large number of contractors, and this one, by far, gets the highest praise. Blue Collar installed an EV charging station and a meter/breaker box. The electricians were courteous, professional, and clean. The electrician may have picked up on the fact that I understand electricity and so did not talk down to me. Everything was well explained and discussed before, during, and after installation. The were also very clean. Even though they wore shoe covers when coming into the house, they brought a lot of mulch into my mud room. I remember cussing them out in my head when I saw it. But before they left they cleaned it all up. That scored a lot of points! read more

I had some electric issues with my septic system and was very nervous as to what was wrong and how to get it resolved, I have owned my house for 23 years and I'm always apprehensive about hiring any new company to help with repairs. I gave Blue Collar Electricians a call explained my issue and they were out asap, the price was fair and I was very impressed with the knowledge that Dennis had in a work around to get my system up and running!!! Everything is working great. I can't say enough about this company and will use them for any future electrical repairs. I don't write reviews and to be honest they were out a month ago but just need to support this company so I had to post. You will not be disappointed in this company! read more

A friend referred me to these guys and I am so glad she did! They came out right away to give an estimate, which was free. Their assessment of what was needed was much more thorough than the other electrician I had actually paid to assess before them. Their pricing was so competitive, I felt like I was getting away with something when I called to accept the quote. Everyone from the receptionist to the electricians has been friendly and professional. Scheduling was ASAP and the work they did was A+. They even cleaned up the mess my brother and I left behind when we pulled down the 1950s drywall. Highly, highly recommend! Just call, you won't be disappointed. read more

I am extremely happy with the service your company has done for me. Not only were your employees well trained and knowledgeable about the work to be done but they were very respectful of my home and myself. Pat and Tyler were not only friendly but they always cleaned up after themselves. I absolutely loved Jacob. He was the one who came back for the inspection. He explained everything to me in terms I could understand. I offered him a gratuity which he declined. I also must mention how pleased I am with Maranda who is always friendly and efficient. I give Blue Collar Electric 5 stars and I will absolutely recommend them to everyone I meet. read more

I hired this company to install a big post light out in my backyard 100+ ft away to light up my large backyard in spring. They trenched it all the way and put it in pipe and I couldn't even tell they did anything when they were done. I haven't had any problems with the new big post light so I just had them come and run power to my shed in my backyard. They did the project on a Saturday because that's the only day I had available and did a great job! I have outlets and lights in my shed that I have wanted power in for years. I'm extremely happy with Blue Collar Electricians and recommend them to all of my family and friends!! read more

Blue collar electricians sent over Jacob and Tyler. They showed just when they said they would.A fairly younger crew than what you might expect. They did a wonderful job, everything is so neat and thoroughly done. We are very impressed. It's good to see some younger, such hard working guys. We are having our house vinyl sided at the same time, and they did everything they could do to make it easier for the crew. Thanks are in order. We are really impressed. I highly recommend hiring this company. John, Patrick, Jacob, and Dennis did a complete rewire on my 120 year old home. They did a PHENOMENAL job. They made sure to ask me exactly how I wanted the rooms laid out, they didn't nickel and dime me for every additional light or outlet, and they did such a great job cleaning up after themselves the house looks better than it did when they got there. If you're looking for electricians who go above and beyond, making sure everythings done the right way, these are your guys. read more

Amazing amazing amazing. I had five other electricians come to my house and tell me that they could not put an electric box above my fireplace in order to hang a TV. John B. reviewed the job and said " I think I can" and he did. He was friendly, knowledgeable and clean. He also replaced a bathroom fan for me as well. I would highly recommend this company and plan on using them for ALL my electric needs. I can not say enough good things about them. Easy to schedule and showed up when expected. read more
